Amazing Experience!!!! Not enough words to describe how wonderful this place is! Wondering if you should go to House of Couture, YES! I needed an off the rack gown with less than a week to go! Yikes! Sharifa was amazing. Not only did she find me an amazing gown, she altered it and modified it for me. I had assumed i would have to settle for whatever type of gown I could find since the wedding was a week away but NO she added straps and detailing so I felt comfortable in the gown. Sharifa made suggestions to the alterations that were exactly what I needed and wanted. She and her tailor worked the weekend and holiday to make sure my gown was fitted perfectly and everything I wanted. I was So impressed with her. THANK YOU!!! I promise not to elope at the last minute again! You were amazing.

Sharifa was the first person I went to for my wedding dress and the entire experience was AMAZING! She was warm, understanding and literally the first dress I tried on in her beautiful shop was THE ONE! I got SO MANY COMPLIMENTS my entire wedding day ON THE DRESS and I felt beautiful. I walked into House of Couture Bridal Shop on a whim, without an appointment, and near closing time after failing to find a suitable mother if the groom dress at the department stores. Sharifa welcomed me in and let me try on at least six dresses, which meant she kept the shop open late for me. That Saturday, I brought my husband with me to her shop to make a final dress choice. Sharifa was patient, kind and very helpful. She even said she could get alterations done in time for my son’s wedding. Shari did a wonderful job tailoring my wedding gown! I will be going back for other tailoring work that I need! It was also less expensive than other quotes I'd received in the area. I was really happy with how the dress turned out. It was just short enough in the front that I didn't step on it, and just long enough in the back to brush against the floor.

The reason I went to House of Couture was because I'm not a traditional type of girl. I'm always looking for something different and unique. I started working with Sharifa and gave her an idea of what I wanted my dress to look like.

I've presented Sharifa with many changes due to a color scheme I was working with for my 25th Wedding Anniversary.

The lining under the skirt was not the color I wanted so I ask Sharifa to change it and make it white instead.
I bought some lace from Etsy that I found brought it to her to add to my dress. I also needed her to make the ostrich feathers on my dress below the knees instead of at the knee so this again is another change. Sharifa had to almost recreate the dress to make it longer.

I'm a women who knows what I want so I of course kept in contact with Sharifa week after week to make sure the dress came out exactly how I envisioned it to be.

Long story short the dress was 98% completed and for some reason something was missing. I then decided to make the dress into a two piece. I know at this point Sharifa would start getting frustrated but for the money I'm spending and time, I wanted to make sure it was perfect for me.

All I know is that Sharifa was the most patient person I worked with and she did not try to talk me out of anything but guided me along the way to make sure she gave me what I was asking for.

Sharifa did a wonderful job helping me find a gown for my 35th anniversary, tailoring it to fit well. And, she quickly helped with another outfit that needed a quick fix. Thank you for helping me feel great!

The owner Sharifa did such an incredible job with altering my wedding dress. You can tell that she takes a lot of pride in her work and that she’s very receptive to listening to what her clients want. The train of my dress is very intricate lace and Sharifa did a flawless job of shortening the train, you would never be able to tell that it’s been altered. I originally wanted lace straps then changed my mind and Sharifa was quick to show me all of the other options and I found the perfect straps. She is a joy to work with and I highly recommend her services!

Sharifa really helped me for my special day! I sent her a few dresses I liked and a price point that I wanted to stick with and she made it work! She also worked with me on such short notice. I ordered my dress in late April/ early May and she had it ready by august !

Sharifa rocks it! She steered a bunch of dudes looking for a stroller suit toward the best option (and affordable) on the west coast. And she calmly navigated a last minute garment delivery request through to success. Thank you; we will be repeat customers!

Sharifa was great. I had two dresses made for my wedding and they each turned out just as I'd imagined. We met several times to ensure that the design for each was what I wanted and then come fitting time, with some final adjustments they each fit perfect. The instant gratification isn't the same as walking into a store and purchasing a dress, but there's no comparison to designing start to finish.

Amazing seamstress!! I highly recommend Sharifa. I came in desperate for a dress that looked good for a formal event. She had a beautiful dress in stock that she had made that she was able to remake to fit me. It was perfect and I am so grateful to her!! And she was able to get all of this done in a short amount of time.

Easy to work with. Have gone here for a suit purchase and for a tux rental for a friend's wedding. The Owner made sure everything was correct and on time. Happy with the service and product.

The seamstress was wonderful! She made great suggestions and put the finishing touches on my wedding attire, which made it so much more special. The alterations were perfect and need no further adjustments. The whole experience was perfect!

I purchased my daughters prom dress last minute, (two weeks) before prom. Her dress was ready a week later! Ms. Sharif is very patient, and kind as we came in to have the dress altered, always very courteous and professional. My daughter absolutely loves her dress as it customized to her figure. Next year we will be returning to Ms. Sharif for a custom tailored formal evening dress, as my daughter wants an original design. The most enjoyable part of this experience was not standing in line to be checked out, or waiting in line to get into a dressing room. We always had an appointment, the atmosphere is relaxed, we never felt "rushed". I am very thrilled to have found such a talented designer, who also has the ability to cater to her clients, and again thank you so very much.

Sharifa is amazing! She altered my wedding dress and the dresses for my entire wedding party. Her work is so great that I have been bringing her other clothes to alter. She is like part of my family!

I can finally stop looking for a tailor! I have an athletic build and struggle to find clothes that fit off the rack so I usually have to buy big and alter. It hasn’t been easy finding a tailor that alters my clothes so they fit but aren’t too tight, until now! The work is incredible and service is amazing too! Can’t recommend enough

House of Couture is awesome!! It was wonderful to see my vision for my wedding dress to come to life just from a few pictures!! Sharifa is so nice and patient. The cost is totally reasonable given that it probably was going to cost $500> to have a dress altered. I highly recommend her services.
