Boudin SF

New menu - dunngen crab sandwich. Load with lot of meat but a little bit salty. The service is good - order the food from the kiosk.

It was fairly busy but I appreciated their online ordering system. It gets slightly confusing since you gotta pick a table number manually and punch it on the computer. Their system doesn’t account for redundancies. We had the same number as somebody else, so we had to do manual interventions.

The food was fresh and great. The soup and sandwich combo is amazing and the menu items are priced just right.

The staff is friendly and continually cleans the place. Some customers who always think they’re right leave the table in a nasty shape but the boudin staff clean it without grudges.

Highly recommended place in broadway plaza!

Save us the drive to Fishermen Wharf. As always I had the delicious clan Chowdah and my wife had the Pot Pie in sourdough bread bowl. Deliciousness!

Nice light lunch after standing in line for a bit. But worth the wait once you are able to find a table!

It's so yummy here and the kid's menu is SO GOOD. The pricing is also good 🤭. I usually get the kid's meal pizza and it tastes good and is a good size.

These people were nice enough to let us come in 10 minutes before they were closing. (I hate when people do this) the food was good and came out fast. They even give free loaves of their daily bread or they would throw it out. So we gladly took some to take home.

Coupons came in the mail and we couldn't pass up a buy one get one. We also beling to their bread club so we made out like bandits and had excellent food, too boot.

I ordered the butternut squash soup and a veggie sandwich, both of them were delicious!

I have always loved Boudin clam chowder bowls! The sourdough is crunchy on the outside and fluffy and chewy on the inside.

The staff is always friendly and the service was pretty fast, considering how busy they were.

I'm a little sad they run our of the bread in shapes often. Last time I got a kiss meal and was expecting a fish- shaped bread, but got 2 slices on bread instead. I was just a little disappointed.

The computer ordering system is also convenient, when it works, but I couldn't pay with my gift card.

Surprisingly good food and rarely crowded. Great place to go for soups and sandwiches.

Didn't eat the restaurant food this past visit. I went to buy loaves of their famous sourdough French Bread. It was really easy. The line wasn't that long since it was around 3pm on a Saturday so after lunch but before dinner. They will slice it for you in the machine if you'd like. I was taking it on the plane ride back to LA so I left it intact as I thought it would travel better. The bread was delicious as always. Next time I visit I'll get a bread bowl with chili or a sandwich. Definitely get some sourdough to go.

Love the food here! Clam chowder bread bowl is classic, but everything they serve is delicious. I especially love the pastries, too. This location is very nice as well, feels very spacious and I love the patio seating. It definitely gets busy since it's in the mall but I've only had a long wait once and we've probably been to this location 6 or 7 times - and all the other times were very quick to order and receive our food.

We only picked up a loaf of bread. The woman at the counter was helpful and friendly!

Great Turkey Avocado sandwiches with Spring salad.

First time at this location and it was nice. Saw a regular use their app so that made me want to to get it too. I love their Clam Chowder, just not the can version. So far my favorite sandwich is Turkey Avocado

Love this place after a long day shopping! The food is consistently good and are always friendly. Love we can eat and then take home fresh bread for breakfast!

9/9/18 - FIVE STAR

The clam chowder bread bowl was my favorite SF treat.... until today!!! A re-visit to Boudin's by Fisherman's Wharf taught me that thinly sliced sourdough bread crisps smothered in their spinach-artichoke-and-huge-chunks-of-fresh-crab-dip is better than ANYTHING else I've eaten in the City. Ever!!! Don't get me wrong: my boyfriend and I shared an amazing clam chowder bowl here before our real lunch, then ate off each other's plates of Fish and Chips (his lunch - so freaking tender and perfectly fried with thin fries on the side) and a Crab Sandwich (my lunch - which I'd highly recommend - and I liked it even better than Fenton's in Oakland, which until today was my fave crab sand.) But the starter our table shared blew me away! Best appetizer ever. We honestly sat there planning our next trip here for more drinks and spinach dip.

Service was great from checking in at the reservation desk to picking up our bill at the end. The assistant manager Kelly introduced herself which was awesome, and her staff was just as insanely attentive to detail as she was, even by bringing out a little extra salt to me for my Bloody Mary. Our server Evelyn checked in on us just the right amount. Not too much and never left us hanging trying to get someone's attention. With great service came great food! My bff's grilled trout lunch should also be mentioned, but maybe not before our perfectly spiced Bloody Mary's, (and I can't leave out the bread they brought to our table). Everything was perfect. The view from upstairs is great, so there's that, IF you want to look up from your plate of delicious food!

I think whether you're a tourist or a kinda-local (we're from East Bay), Boudin's is one of those family-owned businesses that cares about their customer experience, and is seriously on-point. If you're not in the mood to battle a seagull or a panhandler for someplace to sit and eat a bread bowl outdoors, stop in here and eat at a luxe table with a killer view and spoil yourself with some of the best food and drinks you can find around this part of the Bay.

If you have the chance, be sure you take advantage of Boudin’s “Ultimate Crab Fest.” We ordered from Boudin’s Walnut Creek restaurant on Friday and it was wonderful.

For two people, we received an abundance of delicious crab (enough for dinner and crab cakes the next day!), all the fixings (like butter and Parmesan),a wonderful salad, pasta with sauce, and a loaf of Boudin’s incredible sourdough. We also ordered the stuffed sourdough loaf, and it’s highly recommended.

This meal was incredible. All you do is order and show up, they have everything ready for you.
