East Bay Waldorf School is one of the most amazing thing that happened to our family :) ...
The transformation we've seen ever since our older daughter started to attend the school 6 years ago was amazing !! She became more social, out-going, loving nature and most important ... growing up to be a healthy positive and happy young adult. She love going to school every day! She love learning !
Now we've signed up our younger daughter to start Kindergarten this year, and we're all looking forward for her start - I'm sure it would be an amazing experience for her too...
I'll recommend this school, teachers, and stuff to ANYONE i know !!
5 Star !!

This will be our fifth year at East Bay Waldorf School. I can honestly say that each and every year has been a priceless blessing. This particular school is a treasure and an oasis. It has an 11.5 acre campus, surrounded by thousands of acres of public land - and the kids own it ALL. This abundance of nature BECOMES their childhood experience. No other campus in the East Bay compares... even a little. In order to get any kind of real sense of the exposure to nature kids get here, you have to take a very, very, very long walk and EXPLORE. It is magic.

I've looked carefully at all the other schools in the East Bay. Each comes with its particular strengths and weaknesses. After meticulous consideration, for us, nothing else measures up. The hand-built playground is magical, the organic garden is expansive - both with endless views of nature and the Bay. The classrooms are warm and beautiful.

The teachers hold the kids with SO much love. Tremendous care is put into every detail. It took me a while to get a feel for the way Waldorf works, but I've learned to trust it, because here the children are protected and nurtured, and grow to become confident, bright, and grounded in their own truth. Unlike most other schools, it doesn't feel like the kids are being brainwashed and academically force-fed or stressed. They are allowed to be kids and grow and learn in a truly holistic and integrated way. Our daughter is THRIVING at East Bay Waldorf School.

If you're looking for schools, THIS is the place to be.

Absolutely amazing in any way. I literally get teared up every time that I drop off my son at school. 2 weeks after summer break he was begging me to go back to school and could not understand why the school is closed.
If you want a place that will nurture every aspect of your child, will cherish your child personality, rather than try to make it fit into a box, this is the place for you.
In addition, this is the most diverse private school I have seen in the bay area, both among kids and faculty.
The school is full of art, music and nature. I wish I could go back too!

Visit the school to get a feeling of it instead of visiting a website. You will know if it is the place for your child. It has been the place for my two children for the past 4 and 6 years.

I graduated from this school years ago, and I still treasure what I learned there and the people I met. I love this school, and so do most of the other graduates I've spoken to.
