I am a member at this church, have been for a few years. I love my church family, here. Love here is overflowing. Love for Jesus and each other. Pastor Thomas C., is truly a man of God. I love his sermons.

friendly atmosphere with friendly people. the best thing was that the pastor actually talked with me afterwards and seemed genuinely interested. the church wasn't too big which made for a close feeling. and great preaching.

So friendly. This was our church home for the 3 months we were in California for work. King James, hymns, and a loving, interested pastor makes us miss this place long after we have gone.

Never asked for tithing, only asked for everyone to receive the word. Praise Yeshua Jesus

i have been looking for a church that preached the bible and actually had a friendly atmosphere. when the pastor preached it wasn't hate, it wasn't his opinion it actually was from the Bible. it was a good sunday

If you're looking for a fundamentalist Christian congregation, you'll be comfortable at Tabernacle: KJV-only, male-dominated, new-Earth creationist, rock 'n roll is "of the devil", dancing and going to a movie theater and alcohol are wrong, if you don't go to a "Christian school" and a "Bible college" you're being led astray by "The World", and so on. If that's not what you're looking for, then you'll wonder which planet this local congregation is from. But these people DO love God, believe Jesus was both fully God and fully man, died and was bodily resurrected, is alive today, that the Holy Spirit is active in our daily lives, that Christ will one day return and that He is indeed the Way, the Truth & the Life. I was a very active member of the Tabernacle congregation for six years but kept my head and still continue to study Scripture deeply. I classify myself as a "Recovering Fundamentalist". I loved the late Pastor Tom Bridges' reaction when I announced I had accepted admission to Cal Berkeley and its School of Business Administration. That was a kick, and 50 years later I haven't regretted my decision. 😉 I did enjoy my six years at Tabernacle. I was deeply involved in the music ministry, we had a great music & youth minister in those days, and understanding the fundamentalist psyche has been invaluable over the decades in my Christian walk.
