Such a cute bakery! You can definitely taste the quality in each and every item! My whole family loves this place just as much as me:)

5 stars are not enough for this bakery! A friend brought me two slices (princess and marzipan) as I had been getting inquiries about good wedding cake references. The flavor was delicious and they were beautiful. Let’s just say I am kind of a cake snob, so I am so excited to have found a new favorite bakery! They were excellent and fresh, even though I didn’t get a chance to eat them the night she brought them. I will be ordering my next celebratory cake from Le Gateau Elegant!

These are the most amazing cakes I have ever had both from the design perspective and the flavor!!! They were so delicious! They did the large fondant Alice in wonderland cake with the contrast and cards as well as the sweet smash cake for Leila that was EXACTLY the same as the “happy unbirthday” cake from the original movie ☺ We couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out! Also ordered cupcakes. They were the highlight of the party we would 10000% do it again!

Beautiful cakes and cookies, extremely nice and knowledgeable staff…loved this place and would trust them to make any special occasion memorable. Left with chocolate cake roll, cherry cheesecake and lovely decorated cookies.

Love this place! Such a nice quaint bakery, I come here almost every time I finish shopping at broadway plaza, the cakes are always soft, moist and perfectly sweet, and the cookies are so cute with nice designs and they taste amazing! Also the lady up front was very kind to me, and answered any questions I had! Would definitely recommend to anyone to stop by and try a dessert.

Le Gateau made us the most beautiful cake for our wedding! The process of trying out the flavors and designing the cake was really straight-forward and added a lot of fun to the wedding planning process. They were so flexible - working with the florist to create the perfect cake! The Kahlua chocolate flavor was a big hit!

Excellent every time, Karen has passion for what she creates. I am looking forward to her doing our wedding cake. Delicious cakes!

My Husband spent several weeks tasting all of the cakes in the Bay Area before our backyard wedding in June 2022. Le Gateau literally takes the cake! We went with a 3 tier wedding cake with vanilla cake and raspberry filling and the result was absolutely stunning. The cake was hands down, one of the most beautiful parts of the wedding. We really wanted to take the food over the top for this event since it was a humble backyard wedding with under 100 guests. The cake really got us there. They also made it east for my husband to arrange from our home in Brooklyn, NY. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and even have the top saved in our freezer for one anniversary next summer. Thanks go out to the whole team at Le Gateau who made our special wedding cake possible xx

Staffs are welcome and nice. I was a little skeptical about indoor dining earlier due to my active toddlers. However, we had a very good experience of cute cakes, comfort seating and hospitality staffs. This shop deserves five stars. I would also recommend the restroom available for customers since it opens the indoor dining.

I give ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For the quality of the products and for the good customer service that is so important to me. I appreciate the kindness of the lady who attended me, she made me feel very comfortable, especially when my english is not that good. 😁 I highly recommend this place to enjoy a sweet moment with your family and friends and they can also make you beautiful custom cakes.

I loved this bakery when they were in Martinez and I was glad to find them again. I was disappointed that they don't make their seasonal pumpkin danishes anymore, but was glad they still had a great assortment of their beautifully decorated cookies and other yummy pastries. Plus, of course, the usual "elegant cakes." At their previous location, I was able to have a coffee and enjoy my pastry and unfortunately that's not possible now, but I hope they can make it more of a destination spot in the future.

Ordered my 3 tiered wedding cake, princess flavor, and a large sheet cake for my wedding. The cakes were a hit and absolutely delicious! My in-laws have been ordering cakes from here for years and we 1000% recommend coming here.

Cake slices and similar treats are moist and full flavored.

Gingerbread is excellent.
Staff is polite and knows the products, no guessing if it it choc or other cake under the frosting.

A bit pricy, but the quality is clearly there.
Order ahead if you need quantities of cookies, since they go fast!

I had my wedding cake made by this bakery, and it was absolutely beautiful. It was a bit of a unique cake and they delivered a tasty, elegant, and stunning cake. As a pastry chef myself, the cake was the most important part of the wedding and it was everything I could have asked for. Would highly recommend!

Excellent quality cakes. This is the essential place to buy a great birthday cake for someone special. The butter cream frosting is really decadent. The counter woman was fantastic, she was very patient while I asked her numerous questions about all the different cakes. I highly recommend this business

The staff is always so kind and every item I’ve tried is delicious, especially the princess cake!! And they still have tons of stuff available right before closing too, so you can reliably pick something up any time of day. They’re the best!

Beautiful cakes, space, kind customer service, clearly the desserts are made with care. The carrot cake was very good, not overly sweet, and the slice size was just right!

Best cake ever! White frosting that was fluffy not full of sugar. Moist chocolate cake with layers of custard and raspberry. It was decadent! Love this bakery!
