Holiday Inn Express Benicia, an IHG Hotel

Family friends stayed at this hotel and I assisted with booking the conference room for a small surprise bridal event. The location was perfect for small events. It was clean and came with a projector screen, chairs and tables. The hotel staff (I believe her name was Emie) made sure she offered what is available to us like water, table cloths, etc. Checked in from time to time for what we might need. Also, special mention to Connor and Megan. After a 6 - hour drive from SoCal on a rainy day, we were greeted with smiles, like we're family to them, appreciate their excellent service with my booking and their manager, Teresa. Very courteous and professional with their communication. Can tell that they have an awesome team.

Our friend (the bride) was the happiest that day, I appreciate this hotel so much!

Front desk was nice and helpful when we ask for places to eat around . Silent aisle 1st floor. Cookies and water in the looby all day that help too if you needs something. Dinning room for breakfast was full the good warm stuff.

Great customer service! Family of 5 got a corner room suite, very spacious with two queen beds and a sofa sleeper. The room was clean and could use more bath towels in the room than 3, but the staff was very willing to get us a few more.

Excellent staff all around. Very comfortable bed, room and stay. Large breakfast w/ many options. Exceptionally clean and well decorated hotel. Nice that it is not too big and feels like a boutique hotel.

The woman at the front desk, Jasmin, has been awesome. She has helped me with even some of my strange requests.
The hotel has an interesting layout that's unlike most hotels I've been to. There's an upper enclosed patio surrounded by rooms and it's a pleasant area to get away from your room. The woman preparing breakfast is very friendly every morning and everything stayed well-stocked for my entire 2-week stay.

LOVE THE CLEANLINESS, SERVICE AND AMBIANCE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

Loved my experience each time I stay here. Great atmosphere, great service, and amazing rooms. I do hope they get back to doing the in-house hot breakfasts soon. (Most other hotels have already done this)
But other than that, perfect stay!

The room was okay. we stayed in a suite that had three beds and 2 bathrooms and everything seemed pretty clean. The best part of our stay at this hotel was the breakfast. They have a lot to choose from and the staff is AMAZING!!! We were helped by a women named Emie and she was very sweet and so patient with my kids. She made the morning really enjoyable for our entire family and I cannot say enough good things about her.

This holiday inn express definitely has its advantages. First of all great quiet location near the bay, covered parking and clean rooms. Its a small property but very clean and tidy. We were staying just for one but would stay here again. I have to give credit to the breakfast staff especially very friendly lady Emie. They work hard during pandemic with limited options to accommodate guest in the best way they can.

It was clean and nice and the staff was very helpful. I enjoyed my stay and recommend the Benicia Holiday Inn Express location. You will not be disappointed.

Awesome hotel. Breakfasts were great. Alma made the mornings very pleasant. The room and halls were very clean. Housekeeping did a great job and even called to see if I wanted service when I forgot to take the "do not disturb sign" down. Staff was very courteous. Definitely would come back here if I'm in the area.

Rooms are showing wear and tear as well as age. However, I'm not here for the hotel, but for friends and family in the area. Easy on/off the freeway. IHG members get upgrades and discounts, as well as run of the snack bar! Still better than BW in town, or the Union Hotel downtown.

This quaint little hotel was very impressive. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The young lady who checked us in was on her first shift alone but did amazing. The wonderful off duty manager even came in to help her with our large group without having to be called. The hallways smelled great.

When I got to my room I was so suprised to see how squeaky clean it was. It looked up to date and modern, smelled amazing and looked like it had never been used by another person. The sheets were bright white and beds were tightly made as if the sheets were just purchased. I noticed the room had many lights that were able to be adjusted so brightly that you can see EVERYTHING! That proved to me that this hotel was NOT trying to hide any imperfections like stains, dust, or other unmentionables like most large chains do with their dim lights. By the way, I did not find one!

The bathroom was unique as it did not have a tub. I loved it! A large walk in shower with no curtain to try and keep from touching you is what you will find. The bathroom was also nice and clean and stocked with Bath and Body Works toiletries! Impressive!

Breakfast the next morning was delightful as there was a breakfast host named Emy there. She was an absolute pleasure! Very kind, attentive and helpful. She kept the breakfast area fully stocked with hot breakfast and all the extras. The dining area was also very clean. She made sure that all of her guests enjoyed breakfast and their experience with her.

Overall, this little holiday in deserves accolades for how well kept it is. My theory is quality over quantity. Although it is small it is kept better than most large well known hotel chains I have visited in the past. If I am ever in Benicia again, I will not stay anywhere else but here!

Friendly and helpful staff, the place smelled great (possibly freshly painted?), and the carpets were so plush even on the stairwells everyone in my party talked about how soft and nice it was to walk on it. The whole place was very clean and welcoming and every time I "looked" lost before I could even ask, someone was asking if I needed help. I had a wonderful experience. 👍💞 Thank you for your hospitality.

It was an awesome stay. The front desk lady Tamara was really nice to us and very courteous. She's awesome! The rooms are comfortable and spacious and their breakfast is edible. Overall, the experience for my husband and kids and myself was awesome! Thnx Tamara!

Stayed in Benicia California Holiday Inn Express and it was totally awesome service and attention to detail staff that will definitely make me want to stay at the same location again. I totally recomendable anyone visiting Benicia California to stay at this location. They did an amazing job in making me feel right at home. My laundry was done with an implacable excellence. Love it!! Nothing but good things to say.

My Home away from Home

I have stayed at this hotel location for going on 14 weeks now. I have been working in the area and wanted somewhere nice to stay that would be within my budget. From the moment I first checked in, the hotel and it's fantastic staff have always been warm and welcoming to me. They have always gone out of their way to make me feel right at home. The hotel is not the biggest of its brand I've seen, but thats okay because, what this hotel lacks in size in more than makes up in customer service. It's the little things they do which make my stay away from my family all the better. Its Teresa who went out of her way to make a special breakfast for me one morning when she found out I hadn't been eating much. Its Amalia at the front desk who always greets me with a smile and some conversation every day when I come in tired after work. Its Samantha who just simply has an intoxicating personality and is more than happy to help any way she can. This is just a small piece of how awesome the staff is at the Holiday Inn Express Benicia. I could go on and on about my experiences here.

The leadership and management the hotel is second to none and it shows in the staff. The staff here truly appreciate their guests. Their constant attention to detail and customer service ensures that every guest whether here for 1 night or 1 month have an amazing stay. I may be away from my family while at work, but while staying at the Holiday Inn Express Benicia, I always feel apart of theirs. Love this place.

My only complaint was a lack of a hot tub to soak aching joints ts in before bed. Staff went above and beyond expectations to be helpful. They were very friendly and professional. We will gladly stay there again when we are in that area.
