Love this hike with my dog! Expect some incline but just enough to get a good view of the bay. You can also see a lot of wildlife if you go at the right times.

One of my favorite places near home. Please do not go there because one of the things I like about it is that there are not very many people there. There are however many nice dogs. If you are a nice person with a nice dog, please feel free to go there. I would love to meet you and your dog.

This place is such a gem! There are so many different areas to explore and it’s a great spot to go running. Parking can get really busy on the weekends so I would suggest parking on the street near the neighborhoods and walking into the park. I would also suggest sunscreen and plenty of water if you were planning to do the entire hike! The trail is really open and can get really sunny.

The paved portion of the trail is so spacious and wide as well as the hiking paths. It’s one of the reasons I keep coming back to this spot since hiking paths can feel so narrow to me.

You can't really rate a natural area, but Wildcat is large, rugged, and has amazing views of the city and bay. It's wonderful to have such a place so close to an urban area.

I use to drive to Mission Peak every weekend based on the intensity and thrill of that hike. All until I discovered Wildcat with an equal intensity plus thrill fulfilled here.

I enjoy how you can customize your outdoor gym on this trail. There are many entrances and routes to take. Whether hiking, cycling, walking, running…it’s a trail for all ages. Plenty of rest stops, gorgeous views, inclines if you’re looking for them. You’ll encounter wildlife of cows, horses, hares, deer, birds, snakes, coyotes and goats too. It’s a new adventure every time.

Absolutely stunning views. Definitely steep trails at times, so recommend hiking poles during the winter month bc the ground can get quite slick. But it really pretty & worth the outdoor muddy trip.

Great place to hike. Took our dog and backpack full of water and snacks. Make sure you keep out for ticks ! Once we got back to the car I had 2 on me. Nothing on our dog thank god. But the sights are beautiful. There’s parts of the trails where you can take your dog off the leash and let them play around which is nice.

Got a little lost and got off the trail. Beautiful walk, but houses are right on top of the parks beauty. When I walked down the creek there was was dust and other trash strewn in a couple of spots. For the most part it is lovely and I will walk to the other side of the park to give it another chance.

Walked the other side and LOVED it. Saw coyote, rabbit, birds and beautiful natural landscape. There's a few inclines to climb throughout the trails that are excellent to climb and lots of friendly dogs and people.

All my life that I’ve lived in the area, I had never gone on this trail for a hike before until last week. I had a great experience with friends. Saw some great views of the bay, encountered some cows, and met pleasant smiles from other hikers on the trail. It got a bit windy and there was a slight drizzle once we reached the top of the peak, but it was well worth it.

I love this park! The trails here are amazing and you get 360° views from the top of them. You can see creeks, cattles, birds and the scenery changes so much along the hike that you never get bored when you're here. There is no entrance fee, which is also really nice.

I used to hike here with friends back in the 1970s to smoke weed before it became a park. Spring is my favorite time with all the mustard plants in full bloom covering acres at a time, like it used to be when the Indians were the only humans here. Great views of the Richmond area with S.F. and the Golden Gate bridge in the distance. Very tranquil, quiet, with an occasional cry of a bird of prey overhead looking for a meal. Great place to recover your sanity, far above the maddening crowds. Dogs allowed if on a leash. Bring doggy bags and coat for those summer afternoon winds through the Golden Gate. They let the cows loose in the summer, so don't forget to latch the gates.

Access from "Wildcat upper entrance" at the end of Monte Cresta Ave, San Pablo CA 94806. This is a residential neighborhood, please respect their "peace and quiet enjoyment" or we will lose ours.

Want a great hike on less crowded trails? Come to WCRP and choose from a variety of options - short, long, flat, steep, sun, shade - it's all here. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes.

I never knew about this place. Found it through San Pablo Health Centers Walk with a Doc program. This place is huge, lots of trails to enjoy, beautiful views of Richmond, and lots of picnic areas to enjoy food and friends. Here you will find a wide variety of trails; it even connects to Tilden Park in Berkeley. I'm still not sure how far it goes. You will also find some of the most breathtaking views in the Bay area. And the picnic areas are large and plentiful. There are tables to sit at, green spaces to play in, and trees and coverings to keep cool in the shade. Oh and the bathrooms are pretty nice too. I would highly recommend this place to any adventure seekers. The trails can be steep, so be mindful that not everyone will be able to make the trek, but there are easier trails near the picnic areas. And the trail to Tilden Park is pretty flat, so that's also a possibility for those who don't like hills. And lastly the parking lot is pretty big, I don't think you would ever come here and not be able to find parking.

Excellent hiking with dogs off-leash. Beautiful views of San Pablo Bay and the San Francisco skyline. Miles of alternative paths with definite vertical challenges. Abundant parking with a rest room at the staging area. 4.7 miles on Wildcat Creek Trail to the Tilden Park parking lot.

Great hike. You can see San Francisco off in the distance on a clear day. One of the coolest hikes, in my opinion, in the East Bay area. We seen eagles, deer, cows, and the views are amazing.

Wildcat Canyon Park is one of the most beautiful places with never-ending biking and hiking trails through bottom and top of the hills with the view of the whole Bay Area. I bike there every week and it never gets boring.
