Contract discussions were clear and open which is a critical element to me. Before starting with Kingdom Solar, I was working with SunRun who didn't disclose an important fact during negotiations, even when I pressed for the answer. So working with this company was a huge improvement.

The price was reasonable and fair. Professional plans delivered to the City Planning Department without anything from me. Crew showed up as agreed and finished in the expected time, picking up all the debris and removing them when leaving. The quality of the work was excellent. Not really a complaint, but I didn't know about the app that came with the system to monitor production, batteries, etc. It's a really good tool to figure out when to run high demand appliances like the hvac and dryer. Since I sound so positive, in full disclosure, I have no tie to this company.

Kingdom Solar did an excellent job removing our solar panels before getting our roof replaced and putting the solar panels back on the roof after the roof was replaced.

They did a nice job coordinating with the roofing contractor and they started work at the scheduled time and finished quickly.

I thought I had left a review back in 2020, when we had Kingdom install a system on a new house, but it looks like I didn't so here I am. The benefit is, I have three years of experience so I can confirm: everything is working (including the 'energy dashboard' for monitoring the system), the roof isn't leaking, the inverter is still inverting, everything is good. I had one support issue, early on, and Kingdom was on it immediately. Really happy customer here.

Kingdom Solar Services removed our existing solar panels for the duration of our reroofing project and re-installed them afterwards. Daniel and Javier were very professional, experienced, and efficient. They explained the plans of work before removing the panels and how the system works after the panels were installed. Thank you, Daniel and Javier!

Price
- very competitive pricing. I shopped around and Kingdom Solar provided was the best deal out there. Plus they have the newest tech from Enphase (along with SolarEdge). I opted to go Enphase for my solution.

Installation
- clean installation (piping, mounting, cleanup). Some installers do messy work. Kingdom Solar did an amazing job. They are very mindful about aesthetics.

Professionalism
- easy to talk to. Easy to work with. Very responsive.

Overal Satisfaction (5-stars)
- Super satisfied in the entire process. Kingdom Solar's office responded back to my questions and concerns (via email) in a timely manner (especially with how busy they are). They communicate via call/text/email. They walk you through the process. Kingdom Solar engages with PG&E and until PTO (permission-to-operate). Don't hesitate to contact them if you have any questions. My suggestion is to be proactive. I cannot emphasize how helpful they are throughout the process.

We decided to get a 10+kW solar system with a battery backup installed at our residence in Moraga in order to offset some of our PG&E bill as well as have a clean backup option to continue to work when PG&E decides to shutoff the power.

I don't think you will be disappointed with Kingdom Solar.

We got quotes from a few installers. The quotes were all inline with one another. What made Kingdom Solar stand out for me was their customer obsession and responsiveness. Chris, the owner, answered all my questions related to the system and went above and beyond as I worked through the process to evaluate options for some complicated electrical work that I was exploring in parallel.

I was similarly happy with the crew that showed up to do the actual install. Andy, Chris2 and their associates were equally customer obsessed, thoughtful and detail oriented when evaluating options for all the smaller decisions that pop up as things start coming together.

They took the extra time to run the conduit through my attic to make the install look tight and did a great job with the layout of the panels and the associated electrical components in the garage. Everything was logical and tight. They didn't rush. They worked quickly but made sure things were done right.

Most importantly, they were careful to not destroy our lightweight concrete tile roof throughout the installation which is hard not to do. Any tiles that were damaged were replaced with matching tile they sourced from a distributor in San Jose and the panels look great. They respected the property and made sure I was in the loop with what their intentions were as they worked through the install.

At the end of the install Chris informed me that he had options through Generac to guide us through the SGIP process to recoup some of the costs of our battery. This was great news to an already happy customer.

I recommend Kingdom Solar if you are thinking about adding a solar system to your residence. They will get it done and you will be happy.

Chris was absolutely fantastic. He came in at my budget, while other were over from by thousands. He even had one of his crew members come before any signed contract to check out the roof and meter.

Going into solar I knew exactly the system I wanted, while other's were giving me different panels to try to make the budget. Chris, came in on budget with the equipment I wanted. There were no games, no sales tactics, and no pushiness. He is all technical and knows this industry. Additionally, his whole crew is knowledgeable, technical, and know how to interact with a customer (no third party crew). They really take care of your install.

On to the install, I signed the contract with Chris on March 28th, Kingdom Solar came on March 31st and April 1st to do the job. They were completely finished by mid day on April 1st. I had my system running since then, and the only other formalities were left was the city approval and pge connection.

The city official came out and approved it a week later and then Chris's team put the pge approval. Now I am just waiting on PGE to start my NEM2 connection, they are slow but once it's connected ~ no more electricity bill!

I recommend Chris and his team for your solar project any time and any day!

PRO:
- seamless transaction
- don't need to worry about anything
- Super technical and amazing folks
- Payment is easy and Kingdom takes care of connection with PGE and any other fee

CON:
you are still paying your utility company for electricity - call Kingdom NOW!

Chris was very professional and the quote he gave us was more than fair and beat out the other 4 contractors that I had received quotes on. He and his workers Jason and John did a great job of installing our solar panels. I would highly recommend him and his team to others looking for a solar solution at a great cost.

I also had 2 LG batteries installed and Chris and his team handled the permits, drawings and did the external wall modifications to the frame to make sure the external wall could handle the added weight of the batteries. Inspection past on first attempt and my house can now run off stored energy at night that I get from my solar panels during the day time.

Chris was a pleasure to work with. We told him we wanted more solar generating capacity that just our PG&E billing history + 15%, he listened, and designed a system with a greater capacity than other solar companies were willing to do. And at a lower price! We ended up needing to replace our roof and were very happy with Chris' suggested roofing contractor.

Finalizing everything took longer than we had planned because of the roof replacement and then weather delays, but Chris was patient. His crew coordinated with the roofing crew to install the solar panel supports prior to the final installation on the shingles. When the city came out to inspect, everything was spot on.

If you're thinking of installing solar, we strongly recommend you contact Chris at Kingdom Solar.

Couldn’t be happier with Kingdom. Chris was in close contact through the entire process and the guys were all outstanding. It’s a good feeling knowing you’re working with people who care about doing it right the first time and taking the homeowners preferences into account even when it means extra work on their part.

Originally I contacted Tesla but their process is inflexible - they couldn’t fit nearly as many panels as I requested even after half a dozen phones calls. When I called Chris he easily found a way to fit the 7.15 kW system and got the city building permit without a problem. The solar panels took two days to install and the 200amp panel upgrade another day and a half. Each day they arrived early and worked late. They really hustle.

The system has been working perfectly and producing more than I expected. As neighbors notice they ask who installed it - I enthusiastically refer them to Kingdom. Thanks Chris & team - you guys do quality work.

Chris was very accessible for initial questions, developing a plan that co-ordinated replacing old solar system a new one during our roofing project. He predicted effectiveness of the array—I’m paying $0 or negative PG&E electricity bill. Quality of work was excellent.

I met Chris after I had talked to 11 different solar companies. He offered me world class equipment at the most competitive price of any company. He gave me no pressure to make a decision on his offer and waited for me to make up my mind.

When I finally decided to go w Kingdom Solar, Chris instantly jumped into action and we were able to get the panels installed and working within weeks of agreement. His crew installed the panels quickly over days, leaving no mess behind. They did a great job visually installing all parts of the system (cosmetic and functional parts); and I know he would've came back and fixed anything I would've been unhappy with.

I have had the panels for over a month now and I am completely satisfied. Chris was honest, friendly, and a skilled professional. I will be recommending him to anyone that is looking for solar installation.

Chris and his team did a great job with our home solar and battery installation. The proposal was clear and beautifully presented, they did the work in a timely fashion and they were very responsive when we had follow up questions. I would highly recommend Kingdom Solar.

My goal was not to get ripped off and know that the installer would use the best equipment while providing a high quality installation. Because of this, I started educating myself on what a great solar install looked like and what was a competitive offer before I started interviewing installers and collecting solar bids.

I only hire companies if people have great things to say about them. Because of this, I contacted some companies that had great yelp reviews and chose to see what they offered. Kingdom Solar was one of these companies. I asked for a quote on their website and shortly after, I was contracted by Chris (the owner). My initial impression of Chis was a good one. He noticed that I seemed educated and asked if I had an idea of what I wanted. I told him what I was looking for and he made some recommendations. I told him I would look into his recommendations. (Spoiler: He was spot on in his recommendation according to my research) He designed my system using his computer while I was on the phone with him and then sent me an email proposal/quote. Based on my research, I thought the quote was priced fairly, but I had nothing to compare it to yet. All I knew is that Chris offered the best equipment, a great solar design on the roof, and seemed like he would be really great to deal with.

I emailed Chris because I wanted some items changed on my quote. I received a call from him within minutes and we had a fantastic conversation. After sending me an updated quote, I told him that I may be interested. He was not pushy at all and informed me that the next step was an on-site survey. I scheduled one for that weekend.

Chris came by that weekend (on time) and checked out my electrical panel. I asked him some difficult questions to test his knowledge on solar (He passed). Lastly, he got on my roof, took measurements, and ensured that his software was accurate in panel placement design. I shared a few concerns I had regarding installation. My roof is only 2 years old and I wanted to make sure my roof penetrations were properly waterproofed. In fact, the thought of having people walk on my costly and fragile concrete roof had my stomach turning. He addressed my concerns and went above and beyond by agreeing to install using the methods I had wanted. He still was not pushy and told me to contact him if I had anymore questions and then left.

I signed. Installation day came shortly afterwords. Chris and his crew were on time for the installation. I'm a picky homeowner and wanted things done a certain way. I was there monitoring the job the entire time and the crew was fantastic making any accommodations I requested. They did attic work, so no conduct is visible on the roof and painted any exposed conduit so it blends into the background. I was in the attic while they were doing the work, it was very detailed. Chris's crew definitely takes pride in their job. In fact, I am super happy to say that out of everyone in our neighborhood, I have the BEST looking solar install.

The system was installed and inspection came two days later. The Tracy inspector RAVED about how good the job on the roof was done. Chris joked around and said he was happy that the homeowner (me) was around to hear that. The inspector turned to me, looked me straight into the eye, and told me he wasn't paying lip service and that most installers are not that detailed on the roof. BOY - Was I happy to hear that!!

In summary - if your looking for an extremely high quality solar installation, with the best equipment available for the best price, and probably the best and most flexible installation crew - contact Kingdom Solar. I can continue to go on and on, but this review is already long. I usually don't do this - but if your thinking about Kingdom Solar, but there is any doubt in your mind - feel free to send me a message asking any questions regarding my experience with Chris and his install crew. I'm so happy with my install, I'd be glad to answer any questions regarding my experience.

Chris and the crew at Kingdom Solar were very professional during the whole process. From initial inspection, designing the system, providing the quote, to installation, they were awesome. I had a small solar system previously installed (2008), and decided to upgrade to a 10kW system.
They were on-time, a completed the project as scheduled. I highly recommend using Kingdom Solar!

Kingdom Solar (Chris) designed and installed the solar power system on our home last September and both the process of working with him and the performance of the system has been outstanding.

We started by getting four quotes from highly rated contractors. While all were easy to work with during the estimation phase, Chris stood out by being the most responsive (generally immediate reply), easy to communicate with, and demonstrated the deepest level of knowledge on all aspects of the project. He also offered the best overall price for the project.

Based on Chris's initial proposal as well as other competing bids, I did a lot of research and ended up changing some of the aspects of the system's design based on my personal preferences. Chris was very easy to work with and flexible on the changes and was happy to provide pros and cons of various options. While the system itself didn't necessarily require an electrical panel upgrade, I decided to include it as part of the project which Chris was also happy to take on.

Chris was also very helpful with the roof mount sealing portion of the project. My roof was relatively new so it wasn't redone as part of the solar project, but my roofer had requested that when I install solar that I should have them do the mount sealing work. I got their estimates and Chris advised that they were unnecessarily high. He offered to get a competing estimate from a reputable roofer that he typically worked with and it was about 50% less expensive. Thanks to Chris I saved quite a bit on this part of the project.

The end-to-end install itself took several days of total effort, between the mount installation, roof sealing, solar panel and microinverter installation, and main electrical panel upgrade. The communication was very clear and easy with Chris and his team. I always knew what the plan was for each day and what was happening next. Inspection and permits were all flawless. Really couldn't have gone any better.

Now it's nine months later and the Panasonic panel and Enphase microinverter solar power system is working perfectly, generating the amount of power as estimated - which will cover our entire house and electric car power requirements. I also like how easy it is to see how much power the system is generating via the Enphase web and app. Finally, the roof seals all stood the test of the past rainy winter.

To sum up, from someone who is pretty demanding and pays a lot of attention to details, I highly recommend Kingdom Solar and Chris for your solar project!

I would highly recommend Kingdom Solar for all of your Solar needs. Chris was able to walk us through the whole process and making sure we are comfortable the whole way. His crew works fast and efficiently. Out of 3 bids that we got, Chris beat them all with price and equipment. So if you are looking to purchase solar, give Kingdom Solar a shot. I bet you will end up being a happy customer like me. :)

We have a unique setup, a hobby farm with 200 Amp service and extremely high PG&E bills. Chris worked with us to design a ground mount system that supplies our needs and our long-term future growth needs. We worked a deal that I could do the foundation and trench for the electric line, install the conduit, (thus saving me a bundle) and they'd come do the rest. The estimate was 2 days to install, and it actually took two days. The crew was very curtious, and professional. All went according to plan. My meter is now running backwards - what a miracle! Now I can start using my wood working equipment, and farm tool welder, etc. and I wont go broke. Thanks Chris!!

I hired Chris from Kingdom Solar after getting estimates from 4 other solar installers, including some that are most reviewed on yelp. The reason I hired Kingdom Solar is because Chris was prompt in sending over the estimate, he came out to the house and evaluated what our setup should be, he patiently answered my zillion questions, and he installs Panasonic panels, which are highly rated. The other guys had roughly the same estimate, but they never actually took the time to evaluate my house like Chris or explain it all in the way I wanted. I felt much more comfortable hiring him knowing that there would not be "surprises" as install started.

He is super nice and a pleasure to work with, too. Can't recommend Kingdom Solar enough!!

Chris and his whole team are AWESOME. They are super hard working and didn't stop until the job was done and perfect. AND his price was the lowest of all the quotes I got.

I contracted with Chris to install 6.4KW system through my foam roof along with a new sub-panel. His roof seals were top-notch. I actually feel like my roof is better after they worked on it. The installation of the sub-panel had some challenges due to the old wiring in my house but he was able to do a great job sorting through it.

The system is running well and is producing exactly as planned.

If I could give Kingdom Solar 6 stars I would.
