Cherry Canyon MTB Trail Start Point-Gate

Kind of an undiscovered gem, only a few minutes drive from the crowds of Descanso Gardens. Even on a weekend morning, it was possible to park within 20 yards of the entrance. And even on a slightly hazy day, it offered spectacular views of the La Cañada area and the mountains and offered a truly natural oasis. We didn’t encounter any mountain bikes on our hike, but they certainly use it, so on the narrower trails I’d keep an eye out and be prepared to make way on the narrower trails the best you can.

This was a beautiful place to hike however the trails were very confusing to navigate. This park has many trails and you can get easily lost. We did the Forest Hill Road and Cherry Canyon Motorway trails, and we went in a loop. So it was fun, short, and quite an adventure.

This is a beautiful place to ride mountain bikes and for hiking trails. There's a mixture of fire trails and singletrack, so a little bit for everyone!

Best beginner or ride for days you dont want to go to crazy. Has great scenic views of la Canada. Best trail to me is the ultimate destination. That's not to far from the start gate. The trails are never to crowded and is not occupied during the day as much as other trails in the area.

Haven’t ridden Cherry Canyon In a long time. Cherry did not disappoint. Took the fire trail to the top which I hate. Once at the top you got the view of Downtown Glendale and views of La Crescenta and JPL. Ran into local bikers and they are all cool. Single track did not disappoint.

Cherry Cyn (aka Descanso Gardens) is a great place for a quick 1-2 hour MTN bike ride. Moderate but short hill climbs, fun single track trails, and easy access. It never seems to be crowded as I rarely see anyone else in the trails.
