La Imperial Taqueria

This place is good. The customer service and the atmosphere are what stood out the most. The food is good, perhaps a bit over price, BUT nonetheless worth the experience.

We had an excellent experience at this establishment today. Showed up with a couple of buddies to have lunch and were pleasantly greeted by a really nice hostess!, she kept coming back to double check that we had everything that we needed. The food really had an authentic taste to it, not that fast food taste or feeling of eating. Definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Yes they do get busy but I have to say it's not a long wait as other places. The food was great and the prices were better. My quesabirra was juicy and stuffed with both cheese and meat. Definitely will be coming back. By the way there red sauce was actually spicy which was a plus.

So I had 2 pastor tacos and 1 tripa
The pastor was delicious but the tripa was a bit gamey tasting maybe it was a little old, but I'm still gonna come here again for the pastor and bomb quesabirrias. The Menudo is awsome as well on Saturdays only though...

This food was soooo good. I am in love with their sopes and their tacos. My bf got a burrito and he loved it too! 💗 this place is really good, it looks new. This is real Mexican food! ☺

Even though we arrive late they still had the time and courtesy to serve us we were minutes away from them closing and we still managed to get a great service and great food I had dos tacos de carnitas dos tacos de carne asada y Los tacos de pastor. The tortillas were handmade they were made on the spot and the price for the tacos was $3 per taco for a total of $18 but worth the price. I also had one of their micheladas and it was really really good. You will find la imperial taquería west of 99 on highway 58 in Bakersfield, CA.

Had the al pastor burrito. The flavors were great. Wasn't massive but still a good size. The salsas were also on point.

I live Yucatan but when in California I'm craving northern Mexican food so I was glad to find this place and even more happy to see they had birria de chivo on the menu. I got there close to closing time so had it taken "to go" and ate it at my hotel down the street. The meat was tender and delicious and the tortillas, rice and beans were also perfect.

Really nice tacos, and the service was quick and courteous. Went on taco Tuesday to get the special. 10 out of 10 would do it again.

Everyone in Bako will argue about the best tacos in town. These are not, but they are very solid, bruh. The al pastor and the carne asada were top tiddy. Be sure to pay extra for the handmade version, cause that extra elbow grease will really take you to the next level. The flautas were harder than a Mexicali margarita, and not in a good way. But overall, a good experience. 5 stars to balance out the haters.

The food an drinks are superb 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏. And the workers are so overworked its insane. But 1 the one star in service isn't cuz they are horrible. It's simply because they only give them 3 employees to handle everything. The lady is the cook and the other lady is the bartender/cashier. And the dude I'm assuming is maintenance. But it was a spectacle watching them try an move a refrigerator together.

Had the birria tacos, they were good

I tried the quesabirrias and was not disappointed. The Orchata was good, not too sweet.

Great food. Great service. Used the app clover to order my food. The food is organized fairly well and can easily be given to he people that ordered certain items. Went twice in a row to try out the different items on the menu. These are of course my opinions but may differ to yours....great tasting food but the meats that I felt stood out were...Al pastor, Chile Verde, Cabeza, Carnitas, Barbacoa de res. The meats that were lacking but still good, were....Asada, Birria de chivo, Pollo, but with their salsas these end up tasting good.

Their burritos are a good size, the tacos with tortillas hechas a mano (excellent), tacos with regular tortillas are good, torta is excellent, sopes are good as well.

Overall good experience and will definitely come back for more.

We where in town for a baseball tournament .. A friend recommended this place by far the food was good . We had asada fries , quesabirria with consome so flavorful and 2 mulitas de asada they were delicious .. If we come back to Bakersfield we will make sure to stop by.
