Dr. John M. Hautala, MD

I've been bringing my 3 kids here for the past 6 years, and have been very happy. Dr. Hautala was the best children's Doctor I've EVER had and we all were sad he had to retire. We now see Dr. Davies who is also great, and have seen almost all the Doctors here at one time or another. They are all fantastic. I've also been happy with the front desk, and the nurses. They are doing their best to accommodate all the patients the best way they can. I hate when I read bad reviews on here because honestly, this is a really great pediatric clinic. I've been here for Newborn checkups, circumcision, yearly check-ups, and for all the viruses my kids have picked up over the years, ear infections, strep, you name it. We've been well taken care of.

I’ve been a pediatric ICU nurse for 15+ years, have done open hearts, ECMO, etc. We met Dr. Ost today for the first time and I like her style. She knows what she’s doing, ordered the right labs and imaging for my son right off the bat. Another review mentioned her bedside manner seemed a little apathetic but I didn’t find that to be true. She was straight to the point and we both got in a few laughs going over my son’s history.

The clinic had great parking, the staff got labs off my son in one stick (one needle poke attempt) and we waited maybe two minutes in the waiting room. Great clinic!

I had wonderful service from the reception desk and doctors at this location in the 7 years I brought my children here. Dr. Rone was our primary doctor but when we needed to be seen in a day's notice, the other doctors were amazing as well. We moved to the Tri-Cities and I was so sad to have to leave. They really took great care of my 3 boys. It actually took me over a year to find as good a doctor in my new town because they set the bar so high. I miss you U.P. Pediatrics!!! I miss you Dr. Rone!

Very friendly staff. I have lots of friends who love it here! We were patients for a few years and always had excellent, proactive care.

Such a great caring staff

Dr. Ost was friendly enough but never really seemed all that interested. As a mom of three, changing doctors is a big deal and I found this practice from insurance and it does have some good reviews... not her specifically but some other doctors in the practice.
Scheduling is a big part of my managing our busy lives and to say I am disappointed with the mishandling of THEIR error in booking my 9 month old's appointment the day prior to the date agreed, Friday at 1:30 (clearly Friday only has 1 date, right) would be an understatement. The initial booking conversation was extensive enough that there should have been no confusion and instead of being accommodating, I was told I could potentially be seen in an hour.
Well that doesn't work for someone who has a bus to meet and a pre schooler to pick up. Enough reason for me to make a change to a practice that doesn't think they're so big that we "little people" and our time doesn't matter... all about them billable hours right?! Stear clear if you want personal service that actually cares to understand that waiting an hour or so may not be much to some, but to others, it's just not enough and afterall, we are the paying customers and your staff screwed up.
