Truxtun Park

I see a lot of families that enjoy the park the city keeps the area clean. Just be careful going into the restrooms. Horror movie.

Love coming here to workout. Clean place. View is nice. Everyone I have encountered, every single time, are all very friendly.

It's a nice place to relax or exercise in this ugly city of Bakersfield full of thieves, drug addicts and also homeless people, and police and government doesn't do NOTHING... But the good of this parks thing is that 🐿🐿🐿 squirrels 🐿🐿🐿 are safe and protected here... Blessings 🙌.

Love running along trails next to Kern River & Truxtun extension lakes. This lovely place is a step away from the city. Several parks have exercise area's while you enjoy the scenery. Numerous parks are within reach no matter which direction you choose. (River route is : N/East to S/West). Those who want to experience softer terrain off the bike trail hardball, there are numerous dirt trails both sides along the River. These largely unused trails promote easier access to increasing groups of local wildlife. Enjoy some scenery and out of the way locations, here in town. #IBProFun

I love this place! It's a great place to exercise. I always do 5 miles at least or more. The atmosphere is great and so are the people that go there. Thank you Truxtun park for this great trail.

I like this park because it has a work out area that works well. Mostly bar work but more too. It is a very pleasant park to exercise & relax at the same place.

Great place to take a walk, ride bikes, and just Overall fresh air. Not so crowded just perfect, great scenery as well .

I have been coming here for years and the catfishing is good at night. Also its a good place for kayak fishing for bass

I had a picnic at the park with my family and we even had lunch guests 🐿🐿🐿 the park was clean , we had a great time 👍 😀

With rylan at the disc golf course at truxton lake... it's been awhile..... had to stretch more than normal...... newly trimmed trees....lots of little critters out....also saw a blue Jay....

Good park to walk, run, or ride bike. Run path has mile markers so you know how far you run.

Nice relaxed area for calisthenics, hiking & or running.
