Wonderful little museum full of local history which is fascinating. Barbara and Beverly were wonderful hosts while we were there and were more than happy to answer questions or just chat. They are very obviously lovers of Tehachapi so they're great at their jobs. If you're intrigued by local small town history like me, I highly recommend a visit. Also leave time to visit the Errea House across the street as well as the train depot a couple blocks away. You can also get lost in the many Antique and Vintage stores close by as well as the various restaurants. We can't wait to go back!

I love the feel and culture if this area. I lived ten years in an area that had nothing to offer but corporate monopoly and no heart or spirit. And this place alone shows that. Love it.

Great small town museum! Large variety of historical artifacts - Native American, Pioneer, anthropological, archaeological, railroad, etc. Also includes the Errea House and garden across the street, historical home of early pioneer family filled with period furniture. Free admission. Open Saturday and Sunday. Worth a visit!

Techachpi Museum. One of the things I enjoy most on a trip is visiting museums to learn about their customs, their traditions and their history. Tehachapi is a very picturesque little town, a beautiful place and above all, Barbara and Beverly were excellent hosts, they told us about the history of Tehachapi, It is a small museum but full of history and charm. I would return to Tehachapi again.

A small but very nice local history museum. Many different displays about many different facets of the Tehachapi area history. My favorite was the sign of rules for riding in a stage coach! Go visit and have a laugh! Also history of the indigenous population of the area. It's free and definitely worth a visit!

I seen this building before with 2 friends. Feel bad for this museum in due to the limited schedule. I and my friend went and tried observing inside. Never happen. Opens on weekends, not weekdays. I cannot say what detailed I can describe having none experiences inside. Be catious on limited schedule

Both the museum and the historic house across the street give you a fantastic description regarding how the area was settled and developed. Tons of interesting stuff quite well labeled. I especially loved the mining lights.

Very nice little historical place. I brought my high school students who have special needs and each one of them enjoyed it. The ladies in the front are very nice.

Don't let the size fool you. It was very nice and had a lot of exhibits for such a small town
