Mountain Coffee House

I stopped by here during my first visit to Tehachapi, and always try to come by when I'm in town. It's a great little cafe with good atmosphere, and a tasty menu. Local artists and crafters often times have their items in the cafe available for sale, and the staff are very welcoming.

Stopped by today for a breakfast bagel and blended mocha. I was helped by Kaitlyn, who was super helpful. The place was pretty busy, but I had my beverage in hand in about five minutes and my food another five after that. Thoroughly pleased.

Staff are friendly and personable. Food tastes soo good. The hot pumpkin spice latte and breakfast bagel were tasty. Very welcoming atmosphere. My daughter and I loved this place.

I stopped by The Coffee Mill while visiting my friend’s family in Tehachapi. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience! First off, the cafe was nicely decorated and very clean. It felt almost like a large living room in someone’s home. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and really enjoyed it. It was well balanced, not overly sweet, and very creamy. Overall a relaxing and memorable outing. I recommend it!

Update: The Coffee Mill is now called Kamenz Kafe, though much of the signage has not yet been updated. Prices have gone up about one dollar from The Mill’s original pricing. It’s fairly similar, though the iced chai latte is really nice at the new store!

I love this little cafe! The staff is friendly, the feel warm. I enjoy their coffees but the tea latte is my favorite. They have a number of tea blends to choose from. I like a large mug and a spot either by the fire or at a high top table.

They also have a great selection of pastries, sandwiches and toasts. The “eggy” is especially good as is the PB&B, toast with peanut butter and banana & sometimes berries.

Great Cafe for a quick bite or just coffee or both. I had a delicious cappuccino with a pesto turkey sandwich. Great portions and price. The bagel breakfast sandwich was great but the waffle was the star of the show. So sweet anf crunchy! This may be our favorite stop in Tehachapi.

Beautiful little cafe -- stopped in on a road trip & the best small town cafe experience weve so far out west. Great options & a very welcoming space. Stumbled upon an open mic and was thrilled to see a gathering space for young people & some talented artists.

The Coffee Mill has perfected the entire coffee experience - cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and thoughtfully crafted drinks. The owners are truly passionate about their menu, constantly innovating their drinks and making me wonder if they're secretly wizards. All of the drinks I've had are magically perfect - from the lavender latte to the Tumeric Citrus tea. They have a mastery of flavors that is unmatched. Additionally, they offer fresh pastries and food items that are impossible to ignore.

I think Tehachapi is truly lucky to have this gem of a coffeehouse. It ranks #1 on my list, beating even the countless coffee shops in LA.

The coffee is great! The pastries are great! Had a latte and it tasted good, the barista took her time and the milk had good consistency 👌 and the churro crossiant was great! And great service to top it off

Driving through the town on my trip through the states and I happened to stumble across this adorable coffee shop. Amazing service and the sandwich and americano I got was bomb! Thank you for the great experience

Great coffee and excellent ambiance. I love meeting friends here. The music is kept at a conversation level. I come here alone, too, when I'm working on a book or a blog. The place has a warm, welcoming feeling and the staff is top notch. I'm partial to the cinnamon rolls, but my friend swears the coffee cake is the best she has ever had. Sometimes I'll get a coffee to go and then stroll the downtown area. Love this place.

This place makes me want to move to Tehachapi, so I can come eat and hang out here regularly. Charming atmosphere, good coffee in central in old downtown district. And salads too. 🥗

The place is really cozy! The drinks were yummy! The grilled cheese and the omelette on a bagel were both delicious!

Dropped by needing good coffee on a road trip. Have to leave 5 stars so I can remember to come back next time I am passing through.

If you’re looking for a great community place to hang out, this is it. The staff are always so friendly, and it seems to even invite just a great customer base as the place is always buzzing with friendly greetings and people meeting. I work from home and it’s a great environment to just set my laptop up in and enjoy a latte or chai, and even get one of their great breakfast sandwiches 🤤
You’re not getting served a quick, push of the button coffee or toss in the microwave food. Everything I’ve gotten here is truly hand crafted and delicious.

This is a small like home café, where I was immediately received and ask what I wanted to order, excellent costumer service. The coffee is Amazing, different flavors and hot coffee 😊, that good that this is ou second time, and very fast. The food, very good portions and very good flavors. Again, we are definitely going back.

The coffee tasted great! All of us (6) enjoyed our orders from the Iced Mocha and Cold Brew, protein smoothie and drip coffee, to a lemonade. We loved the friendly, smiles all around service, while ordering and receiving the orders, to leaving the Cafe. The seating space was great for this size of Cafe and a little bit of every option from tables and chairs, couch to a countertop and stools. This is a great place to grab a cup of refreshment.

My favorite - the mocha latte’ with almond milk. If you have the time, order your latte’ in and you will have it served in a beautiful cup with a special design on top. Love it!

First time visiting while staying the night in Tehachapi. Cute and charming Cafe. The coffee tasted amazing, 24oz iced quad shot white mocha with espresso whip cream YUM. The customer service was great. Would recommend if going if you are in the area.

Visiting from Nebraska and really missing my little coffee shops. The place is so cute! The staff is amazing.

Asked the team to make us a short doppio in a small cup and not fill it up. Ended up with a a Melbourne quality coffee with a nice crema and proper coffee taste! Yay America, finally!
