Hidden gem! Wow they have a specialty drink called Laban Up and they make an excellent peppermint to go with it. It’s a yogurt drink and mimics a kind of Keifer you find at grocery stores. Only the price at this cozy restaurant is three times at cheap as the grocery store!
I’m sipping it now and it is incredible with robust flavors of the probiotics coming through.
Excited for the food which takes a bit longer but I hear it’s the best in town! Will update…

In all honesty, a hidden gem. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was so friendly. If you're in the mood for a cozy atmosphere and wonderful food to go with that, this is the place to go.

We stopped here while driving back to LA and we had a fantastic meal! Everything was made to order and we enjoyed some of the best hummus we’ve ever had. This will be our new go-to spot when driving through Bakersfield!

My favorite restaurant in town, and after trying a few other Mediterranean places, still the best I've ever had. Lovely, cozy, and locally owned. Great for lunch or dinner. Lunch special pita sandwiches are great, and full dinners are also to die for. Lamb kebab is my go-to dinner, while I'm partial to the chicken shawarma sandwich for lunch. Even though I have my favorites, everything I've ever ordered was phenomenal, even their salad is stellar (yes, I just said that a salad was stellar). Just ate at another Mediterranean spot for lunch today, which made me feel I needed to update my review. I've also tried some Mediterranean restaurants while out of town, and nothing comes close to Pita House. So go give Lisa and Mac a visit, you will not be disappointed.

My new favorite eatery to get clean, fresh, healthier (Mediterranean/Middle Eastern) style food! Everything I've had was simply delicious, kabobs, gyro, Greek salad, stuffed grape leaves, you name it...
I am 100% satisfied every time I leave there and wish I lived closer! Lisa and Mac are good people and the cooking is authentic and so full of flavor.
Such a nice refreshing break from all the varieties of battered fried greasy carb overloaded junk food in Bakersfield.

Happy accident lead us here. The owner is the sweetest. We had the chicken, salad and hummus along with the cheese tray. So fresh and satisfying. 10/10 coming back here.

4th time coming here and the food lives up to the standards every time I bring family. The lamb, beef and chicken are all cooked well and seasoned just right. The vibe is very warmed, albeit it is quite hot at times. There was a slight problem; the salad used was going bad and the portion size could be a bit bigger for the meat. I ordered a second plate to share with family, but for almost the price of a second plate.
Over all I highly recommend anyone and everyone to try Pita House and see why its absolutely delicious and worth a 1st and 2nd try

Wonderful authentic Jordanian food. A very nice couple is managing the restaurant; it was very interesting to hear about their stories, they were lovely.

This place is amazing. I could eat 6 plates of their gyro meat, and the people here are so nice. Will definitely be coming back.

Food was amazing! Staff was friendly and knew their customers by name. Definitely a new favorite of mine!

The Greek salad, hummus and lamb was delicious, fresh and very tasty. Not a fan of the rice. Pita...too thin, I prefer the kind of fluffy one.

We were driving through Bakersfield and found this amazing food! The falafel is light and delicious. The chicken shawarma and Greek salad is so good. I only wish I could eat there again, but since home is out of state, it likely won’t happen. Highly recommended!

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Our family had the falafel, chicken shawarma and baklava for dessert. Everything was delightful and we look forward to returning when we're back in the area!

The food here is great, homemade style Mediterranean and Greek food, great customer service and an environment that feels like home.

I had the chicken schwarma plate and the red hummus tonight. It has to be the some of the best Greek food I’ve ever had. Everything was well seasoned and was rich with flavor, even the side salad. I will come back to try some more dishes.

We loved this little place. We were driving back home from a road trip and took a quick pit stop in here. The food was amazing and really affordable too. We ordered beef falafel and beef gyro with sides of hummus. Everything tasted amazing.

Delicious food, fair prices, relaxing automosphere and clean space. I have tried the chicken shawarma, beef, lamb,chicken kabobs- all delicious.
