Kern River Bike Trail Park

It is a great trail to ride and fly my drone.

Very nice bike trail! I wish my town had the foresight to build something like this for the community! My wife and I drove over from Santa Maria to ride this trail. It was surprisingly nice. We started at Ming Lake and rode west to Hart Lake Park and then into Bakersfield. The trail is a paved 2-lane that meanders along the Kern River and some of the canals running off the river. There is water in the river almost back to Bakersfield, then the trail runs along the dry riverbed.

Awesome place to ride my bike. I work 50 hours Monday thru Friday just thinking of my bike ride on Saturday and Sunday. Very relaxing and I would recommend more coming out to exercise. GOD is good 🙏.

Bubba and I love to go walking here. Highly recommended

It was such a lovely ride even though there was no river. Only thing that was sad was all the homeless encampments. Bleh

One of the best things in Bakersfield - 40 miles of great paved path used by walkers, joggers, skaters, cyclists, and more.

It's a good experience plus take your kids for a walk in the afternoon is great EXCEPT where where there's an alley Do Not Go In There with kids There's people doing drugs in there.......

Great trail with easy riding and plenty of little dirt roads to go dirt biking on

The bike trail is an excellent place to ride and see nature. it's nice to see open Outdoors instead of buildings in sidewalks in concrete and lots of people. you see people on the bike path but everybody is doing the same thing you're doing enjoying nature and getting a little fresh air and some exercise. I definitely recommend this place I go there all the time and look for new places along the river to stop and relax and taking the nature. So I think you will enjoy it. you feel like you're a long ways from the city when you're actually right there it's very enjoyable. Check it out for yourself. Have a good walk run bike or whatever you do.

Nice place to go for a ride or even just a walk with the family

I love the Kern River bike trail for multiple reasons one is that it has the most beautiful rest stops along the way that you could sit at underneath the on gazebos and it also has list of all of the animals and I'm history at the Kern River and it goes on forever with nothing but beautiful scenery

It's a great place to exercise and feel great and explore nature. I walk 3-5 miles every time I go.

Smooth trails near Kern River, on the North side. New land preserve, recently closed off to vehicles, across the river from Hart Park, access Round Mtn. Rd. BUT STAY OUT OF THE RIVER right now.

A little bit of a sketchy feel but also nice to have a place set aside from car traffic.

Great place for the whole family, walk, run, bike, explore. Plenty of parking, but no restrooms so ya better pee before ya leave the house.

Very nice til dusk, then lots of homeless. Which isn’t a problem just stay mindful

We love this spot. We shoot air soft there.. just watch out for stinging nettle..
