Dollar General Market

What a day to pick up some groceries! I walked into this store thinking I'd just grab some milk, eggs, and maybe a loaf of bread, but fate had other plans. Right before my eyes, in the heart of the grocery store, Booker T and Stone Cold Steve Austin began their epic showdown.

I have to admit, it was AWESOME!

So the place is sketchy as hell, and the store could do a bit better with their carts....but all in all the employees are so kind to me. They know me by name and greet me every time. They are always so nice so that deserves 5 stars to me. Plus I save all the time!

The atmoshpere is great. It's a dollar store, so manage expectations. For this being a thrift store, they carry so many products that my fiancee and I need for low prices. We just moved, and we need stuff like pots, towels, etc. And this place has been the best. Two thumbs way up!

For small town folks having this store is great!! We often had to go to Wal-Mart to buy the tho he we need but why fight the crowds when this place has similar things and is in town. Good place to go on Saturdays when you get a $5.00 discount when you purchase over $25.00 worth of stuff.

I go there mostly to get essentials for my survival: FOOD & DRINK! I was there today on my way home from the gym to get a bag of ice because the refrigerator I'm blessed with won't make ice as it should. As I looked around the store I saw a handful of other things I knew I could use also and spent my last dollar! At least I will eat tonight! It's handy to have this store so near the house; the ice didn't melt on the way home either!

My Store closed to me with-in walking Distance & prices are good for me since I'm on Disability & It has Great People that work there .. Love it but wish they had more of a Selection in Produce as well as a Meat Market for better Selections & FRESHER MEAT..!! THANK YOU for this Store.. God Bless You..

I love it. All the employees are always so nice and respectful. When I'm in a hurry , which is about 95% of the time. I know I can go in grab what I need and be out quick . . keep up the good work everyone.

This store has the worst customers ever nothing but garbage but they have to deal with I feel horrible for the people that work there, it's disgusting how shity people are in the town of Bakersfield. If they don't have dirty homeless people trying to steal stuff, they have some bags trying to steal cases of beer and punching employees in the face to get away. I cannot believe how sad it is around that area. But the store itself usually has really good deals especially on produce and meat and even though the surroundings of the store suck I give props to the employees that put up with all that stuff. Word to the wise if you shop here just bring some mace or something in your purse and maybe keep $0.07 worth of change in your hand to give to the dum bum outside on cue without having to waste a whole quarter.

Great store and great workers, I'm always leaving this place with a smile on my face since the workers there are always more than willing to help

This is the First Best Dollar General in Bakersfield. Your greeted as you enter and the lines are short or if they are long another cashier opens
Immediately. The store is clean and very well stocked. Also the other 2 nice stores are in Buena Vista & oildal on N. Cheater are 2 that are EXCELLENT,! Thank you for bringing Dollar General to Bakersfield, ca. I LOVE THEM!!

Shelf were stock and excellent customer service did not have to wait in a line outside. And we were able to exit the store in a timely manner

Go in And only need a few things and ya leave with eighty items! I love the staff here cause you can ask a question and they take the time to help. Love it!

I love shopping at Dollar general more than Walmart cuz it's smaller but it still has a lot of stuff great deals and you never have to wait in line on and the vegetables and fruits are excellent

They had everything I needed plus I was able to use my coupons on top of the sales, very convenient an the workers are so helpful an polite

It has convenient location.. I would like more goggle cards value from 25 to 100 be more available because they are out for tge ladt 2 weeks..

It is very convenient. The employees are helpfull and friendly. I love the prices and the 50% off clearance items.

They have just about everything I need and want and the people are friendly helpful and knowledgeable in most of their products
