VCA Hermosa Animal Hospital

I’ve been seeing Dr. Doane for years and love her. If Dr. Doane is out I feel completely confident in the other vets on staff. I have only good things to say about the support staff, they are friendly and caring. The facility is clean and the cost is competitive. I’ve referred a couple friends and they’ve been happy as well.

My doggy is 12 and she's been loved and cared for by this team since she was a baby. They have super safe procedures in place for covid. It's the care that is above and beyond!!! She looks great and feels good to after her check up.

Absolutely the best staff!! Check in was easy, although the way they fawned over my puppy, I was worried I might not get her back 😃 The doctor was very nice and explained the enter check up to me. Recommendations were clear, and the appoint was very punctual. I'm so glad we chose them as our care provider for our new fur baby!!

I have been bringing my French bulldog to them. They're caring, attentive, they explain things and make you feel, in the know about your pet. Everyone, is friendly; professional and caring. I highly recommend this Veterinary clinic. They get me in as quick as possible. I'm extremely grateful and appreciative for them. The attending Veterinarian DVM always speaks to me directly and so does Vet assistant and other staff members.

Dr. Liebl is the best Vet we have ever dealt with. We moved to Colorado but still try to get back and see him whenever we can. It’s impossible to receive the same level of care elsewhere. I always know he’s going to take an honest and conservative approach to medical care for our dogs. We have been with him for 15 years now. He saved my oldest dog, Maybelline, from cancer twice. My 3 younger dogs receive top notch treatment from him.
If you can’t get in to see him, don’t worry. His staff is incredible and he trained them. You can’t go wrong here. Most trustworthy doctors I’ve ever come across.

Really good. Staff were exceptionally helpful and they've done everything they said they would, leaving me in a position I don't think I've been in before with a vet - not needing to actively chase up on everything. While I'm happy to follow up on matters involving my children this experience made me feel like Hermosa Animal hospital are an organized bunch that care. We will be going here from now on.

I have been to many and I can attest with all my heart that there is no better Veterinarian than Dr Steve Liebl. He is beyond knowledgeable, beyond caring. When you're baby is sick, it doesn't matter if it's a weekend or Holiday, day or night , Dr. Liebl will always call you back and answer all questions and help in anyway he can. Wonderful office and wonderful caring staff. Thank you for always being there for my me and Malena.

I recently lost my 12 year old German Shepherd, Duke, to DM (Degenerative Myelopathy). I have worked with many vets in the past but never anyone as supportive and caring as Dr. Steve Liebl. He quickly diagnosed Duke’s deteriorating condition as DM and provided me background information on the disease and the outlook for the immediate future. DM is currently not curable. Dr. Liebl shared with me his experience with DM on his own Shepherd and how we could make Duke’s remaining time on earth as comfortable as possible. I would recommend him unconditionally to all dog lovers.

I love this place. It is beautiful, clean, and professional .but, they are still very kind, and care for the human and the pet.
All the doctors are great; taking care of my dog, & explaining the what and why of everything as they proceed.
I have zero negative or neutral experiences, only positive. They remember and know my dog. Who is scared until the visit is over, when she has puppy emery and flirts, smiles, and begs to all the staff. Who indulge her, and love on her.

Always a great visit for my fur babies. Staff is great. Nice system going through outside car service, although I miss leaving my kitties alone for their checkup. I love the direct convos with the doc to ensure the best care is given. Thank you for all you do. Highly recommend.

Dr. Liebl is the very best. When he's examining my pet, and talking to me, he treats us as if we're the only patients he cares about by giving us his undivided attention. Though I know he has many other patients, his bedside manner is beyond great. Can you say PERFECT?!
Then you have to look at the staff. Always friendly, caring, sympathetic, they're the best. I think they're over the scale, and I would give them more than 5 stars.
I also recommend the other veterinarians on staff. They share Dr. Liebl's attitude towards pets ... They're family.

We had very good service before the change to VCA Hermosa. But we were not sure how the change to a large chain of Veterinarians hospitals would effect the care and service we have had for years. Most doctors are still there but there are some new staff. The changes have been great and I don't worry any more and recommend Hermosa Animal Hospital for your pet, at least dogs, our pet of choice.

I've been going to Hermosa Animal Hospital for over 30 years. Throughout this time the doctors and staff have always exhibited care and concern for my pets. From vaccinations to helping my pet cross the rainbow bridge, my pets and my family have always been treated with professionalism and kindness. They are simply The Best!

This is our dogs primary care site. I've looked and tried so many animal clinics and hospitals over the place 15 years, this has been the best I've found, for their expertise and kindness to our 12yo pitty-baby.

Quality service and treatment for pits hasn't been the easiest, with some places only examining him with a muzzle. Our dog-child has been nothing short of tender and sweet. Hermosa Animal Hospital has been the best! I wish I found them sooner in his life.

cant take new clients bc short staffed, but the most amazing, empathetic receptionist who proactively helped me find help elsewhere for my pup. ive called a ton of places and this stood out as an amazing phone experience at a time when everyone is having trouble- those who have their pups here must be very lucky.

I just cannot say enough great things about the vets who work here! Also the front desk (with the exception of one girl) is also awesome. I’ve been going to this place for about 15 years with all my cats and rescues. The prices are not great, but the service is!😃

I just wanted to share that VCA Hermosa Beach's staff is without doubt the best vet office I have been to and Dr. Steve Liebl is practically a saint. I took my cat Maverick to them after trying to get two other offices to look at him during the Christmas/New Years holiday period. They agreed to see him after I told them how much he was suffering from a urine infection. I had been up 44 of the previous 48 hours and was desperate.
It was also at this time that another patient that had an appointment overheard my conversation with VCA staff and she offered to give up her appointment time to me right there. Her kindness literally got me choked up right there and it took me a minute to regain my composure so that I could thank her. It wasn't needed as the tech had gone back in and gotten approval to see Maverick but it goes to show how great VCA Hermosa must be to attract clients like that. Thank you again wonderful lady!

Dr. Liebl is the great at giving feedback and updates on pets and his "bedside manner" is without question the best I have ever experienced from a Doctor, human or animal. He is a compassionate and caring Doctor that only wants what's best for your animal. VCA Hermosa also was extremely helpful with the costs involved and worked with me so on the bill. I can't tell you how huge that was as I had been on part time status for the last 6 months and was literally deciding whether I could afford to keep going. This was the second round of UTI issues so 3 weeks of no sleep looking after him, he also has seizures so medication was also a concern. Dr. Liebl gave me hope and encouraged me to keep doing what I was doing and that he cares.
VCA Hermosa staff and Dr. Liebl are the best!!

I have been taking my dog to Dr. Broussard for 10 years. She and the entire staff are fabulous! They go above and beyond to care for my boy. Everyone is kind and compassionate and the facility is always clean. Highly recommend!

I moved from another state about 4 years ago. I was referred to this hospital for my senior chihuahua from a family friend. I have always been so happy with the care they take for my lil doggo.
I was nervous about my chihuahuas annual visit during COVID but they have taken all the precautions to keep everyone safe AND still provide amazing services!! You pull up, call upon your arrival and a technician comes and grabs your pet. Then then veterinarian doctor calls and does the exam with you on the phone. My chihuahua saw Doctor Burgos on our most recent visit and she was SO COMPREHENSIVE (went over all of my concerns and her concerns and with detail and explanations) with all of his health concerns and took amazing care of my dog!! She was very mindful of his health needs and had great recommendations and options for his care! I cannot praise her enough for the care she provided for my dog. I am so pleased and will definitely be seeing Doctor Burgos again!

I have been seeing Dr. Liebl and the other veterinarians at Hermosa animal hospital for 30 years. My critters—dogs and cats—have always received great, caring service. Definitely worth five stars.
