Uptown Animal Hospital has an extremely compassionate team. They helped me when I had to put my cat down and they helped me get my new kitty healthy. They are the only place I'll take my cat. Even when it was sad it was a good experience.

Dr. Voltin is amazing!!! The entire staff is caring! This is the only place I take my pets—even though I have to drive a distance!

Love the people there they treat their animals good I just went in and got my dogs medication🐕 this is a good place to take your animals.

I'm very happy with Dr Julie Voltin and team @ Uptown Animal Hospital. The group is caring and conscientious, and I find their fees to be fair and reasonable. I also like that they have partnered with a dentist who offers cleanings without anesthesia. I believe I've been with this group for 6 years or so. It's been a while.

I feel like the vets and assistants here really care about the animals that come in, and when i needed to get my dog treated instead of immediately going for the most expensive option, the vet reccomended some less severe treatment and she was cured! I appreciate when people arent money hungry and exploitave of their patients.

They were terrific. All covid protocols were observed, friendly staff and all health issues were addressed. I will recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinarian.

I recently (ish) have brought cats into my home and as a result- have turned into a bit of a helicopter mom. I overthink and get anxious easily, so when I needed to bring my cats to a vet I was beside myself trying to not freak out. I am SO happy that it was Uptown I brought my cats to. The environment was cozy and the staff were incredibly nice. Susie in particular greeted me before even going up to the reception desk and helped me with my carriers. She knew I was nervous and explained every step, which really worked wonders to relax me. The doctor and staff are incredible at making sure youre not in the dark about what is going on and I left reassured and more than satisfied. Thank you Uptown!

Excellent service, great knowledge and very helpful. I've taken all my dogs here over the years and even the hard times were made easier. Also reasonably priced and very professional. 100% recommended.

My cat Baby Girl was a patient there for several years. Prior to taking her there I had tried at least three other vets and wasn't happy with any of them. Plus, Baby Girl would get really stressed during visits with those vets. But she loved the vets at Uptown. She would purr and rub her head against their hands. it was a totally different experience for her. I found the vets to be compassionate and concerned, not only about my cat, who had a variety of medical issues, but about me as well. And when I ultimately had to put Baby Girl down, they were so kind and gentle. I can't recommend them highly enough.

When we lived in Florida we had the very best vet take care of my dogs. I was afraid I would never find a vet that would be so good to our baby dogs however I was so wrong. Uptown Vet meets the great services we found in Florida.

I can not say enough about the entire staff. I have a real problem leaving my leaving my dogs anywhere but I have no problem leaving the baby’s there when necessary without being upset the whole time they are there.

Dr Bergstrom and the staff did an amazing job examining my dog, Hurley and explaining everything to me. The Dr and staff were very friendly, very clean office (pet businesses sometimes have a pet odor) and they were able to see us the same day!

We just moved here from out of state, so it is stressful finding new places where you're not familiar with the area. We are very happy with our choice and highly recommend Uptown Animal Hospital!

I just started fostering dogs and the team at Uptown Animal Hospital has been fantastic to work with. They're great with Maggy, my German Shepherd, who is a little temperamental, as she is not used to being restrained or handled. Dr. Voltin has also been great with me, a new pet owner, and my myriad of what are probably really basic questions.

They've gone above and beyond helping me navigate through the care Maggy needs as well as working with the The Forgotten Pet (where I got the dog) to get her back history, payment info, etc.

The staff is friendly, the service outstanding, and the facilities immaculate. Highly recommend.

I brought my dog Bella here and the staff was very helpful and kind. My dog had a bladder infection, and a skin infection and they got us in the same day. They gave her medicine explained everything in detail, and within 3 days my Bella was feeling so much better! Now her bladder infection is gone, she is eating more, and her skin infection is gone. I love Uptown Animal Hospital, I have been to other places in long beach, but this is the best vet I have been to since I have lived in Long Beach. Thank you guys so much for helping my Bella!!! You guys are the best!

Dr. Katy was the best. She suggested a medication for dog that three other vets never mentioned for my dog who has chronic arthritis and she is doing so much better now. Dr. Voltron is really good she is patient and was knowledgeable and understanding. I went back in for my other dog and his bumpies (aka lumps) and was none the less anxiety ridden. Dr. Voltron came back in and said that she didn't think I needed a bunch of things that I thought I would need and ran blood tests and she was very professional and patient. She called with the results like she said she would. The office staff is awesome. They are patient, proficient, professional, knowledgeable, and they follow through with what they say they are going to do. Their prices are the most expensive but they are not the cheapest but they are worth it. Thank goodness I found them and was recommended to them. They are the best.

Dr. Marrie was amazing. We brought our 17 year old kitty in and she took so much care in diagnosing her and letting us know what to expect. Our poor kitty declined quickly and after it was clear she was in a lot of pain and was not going to pass on her own we had to put her down which is such a painfully hard thing to do. Dr Marrie was so caring and nice throughout the process, she sent us a card that was very nice. We had our kitty cremated and when we got her ashes back she was in a little box and they engraved a wooden heart with her name and did a ceramic paw print and gave us some flower seeds to plant, it was really nice. I hope next time we visit it's under less grim circumstances.

We have been going to Uptown for a few years and have been impressed with both the staff and doctors there! They are compassionate and caring of the animals and provide options for care. Love them... they have helped us through the passing of a pet. Would highly recommend them!

Dr. Voltin has cared for both of my dogs (Aimee & Lola) even before she acquired Uptown Animal Hospital. Yes, I followed her and continue to take my dogs there for care. She has always been very thorough and her staff kind and helpful. It doesn't take long to see love of animals.

Always a great place to board or get checked on. Our dog always gets great care, they don't gouge us, the vets are honest and want what is best for the pets. I love this place. We moved 12 miles away and still drive it to uptown for all our very and boarding needs

I too have been going to Uptown for many years. The care that my pets have received over the years has been outstanding. We've tried vets closer to our home but always end up going back to Uptown. A few years ago Dr. Bergstrom helped us through the end of life process for our beloved cat. Last year around this time he came up with a new treatment plan to help our old Aussie walk again. More recently Dr. Voltin got our sick puppy back on track. We bought a puppy package and Dr Voltin was great. The staff, especially Patty have been truly amazing to work with. They show a great deal of care and compassion towards us and our pets. Someone complained about the cost. Let me say you get what you pay for. We're sticking with Uptown.
