I went here the other day with my friend for the first time. It was absolutely delicious. The proper hotel is gorgeous. The views from the rooftop restaurant were incredible.

Despite it being winter and therefore “cold “, they had heaters out, which made for a very comfortable stay.

The service was impeccable, our server was very attentive and hardly let our water glasses get half-full from the host to the bar to our food experience was 10 out of 10! I’ll definitely be back

I’d highly recommend you wear a cute outfit when you go for the necessary photo ops :-)

there are vegetarian options on the menu. And as far as accessibility is concerned, there is an elevator that can take you to the top and seating can definitely be arranged to accommodate a wheelchair. The menus are definitely ADA approved/legible.

Such a good brunch vibes, food and ambience. Went with a group of friends for a birthday and the staff did amazing handling all our orders, questions and giving us great customer service. I had The avocado toast with eggs and smoked salmon which was delicious. I did The bottomless rosé deal to get my moneys worth drinking wise.

My best friend and I went there to reunite after a long time. Eric and Ximena are great servers and they have a great kindness. Food is mouth watering and delightful. Must visit restaurant in LA.

First time visiting, and was very impressed with the food and service I received. Myself along with 4 others visited on a Saturday. We did have a reservation, and were quickly seated. Stunning views of the city, and an umbrella to block the mid day sun. Our server was a man by the name of Everett, he was kind and incredibly professional. Even with it being a busy day, he treated our table so well. Will be back again in the future!

Special day celebrating daughters college graduation. A first time here and it did not disappoint. Service was great and the food was delish!! Valet parking a must and reservation is suggested. The drinks were flowing and high quality. Clean and fresh all the way around. Price point $$$

Service was awesome, nice atmosphere and standard food. Would recommend it for a group vibe comes with good lunch options that everyone will like. I had the seared ahi tuna salad which was more centered on presentation than quality. Still good

Love this spot especially as a solid brunch/day-drinker or first stop on a grazing tour in SanMo. Excellent cocktail program and the food is great - Mediterranean/Middle Eastern motif. The labneh and baba ganoush with house naan are personal favorites and the staff/bartenders are always warm, friendly and knowledgeable.

Loved my experience here. The vibe is very good and you can hang out at the Proper hotel lobby before or after! Food and drinks are great too. We had the hummus, the avocado dip, the branzino, ribeye steak and the truffle sushi! Espresso martini was great too. Listen to their recommendations for cocktails!

the drinks were delicious and they provided a birthday cake for my friends birthday which was really nice. they provide blankets if you get cold!

Really great experience, dining and drinking at Calabra! Staff at the Proper Hotel are friendly, attentive and wonderful. The service is naturally brilliant. Everyone is easy to smile and engage and help with food or drinks and the food itself is fantastic! Definitely coming back to enjoy the rest of the menu and enjoy the atmosphere and service.

The cocktails are great, space is comfortable and atmosphere is pretty chill.
Waiters are a bit sometimes lost...

Incredible service by Jordana (who looks like the actress Diane Guerrero)! She was extremely friendly and attentive.

The food was delectable. We couldn’t stop eating the labneh and naan… the flourless chocolate cake was heaven.

Calabra is a fine roof top bar and restaurant with fantastic views of Santa Monica, delicious food, and solid service. Our waitress was Nash, and she was excellent 😊
Octopus 🐙 is good of you like bacon flavor.
Ceviche 🐟 was unusual in style and delicious in flavor—I’d order it again.
🥦 was crisp
And everyone was happy with their entrée orders of fish, pasta, and Caesar salad.

Calabra is a super cute rooftop spot located in The Proper Hotel. It’s decorated with an abundance of plants and wood finishes that make this patio is modern, inviting and trendy. They play a great mix of music to keep the energy upbeat. The drinks were delicious. For drinks, we had the Sandia Punch and the AmeriCabo. Both were light & delicious.
To eat, we ordered the hummus which had a nice smoked flavor from the paprika oil. It was served with soft, warm seasoned naan. We also had the chicken kebabs which had a nice char on the outside and were tender, juicy and flavorful. The mustard dipping sauce was a perfect pairing.
This is a great place to enjoy brunch or dinner with a view.

I absolutely love this place for brunch in Santa Monica! The food and the service are always amazing! It’s a win win! During my last visit, my friend and I shared pancakes and the kebab. The blueberry ricotta pancakes were delicious and not overly sweet. The salmon kebabs were good. And my chai tea with oat milk was aromatic, delicious and not overly sweet at all.

First dinner of 2024 to be this delicious and more importantly to be serviced with the most amazing staff.
Everyone from the restaurant manager to the bartenders were extremely pleasent.

Cool spot, a bit of a gem in the area. Menu is a little confused on its identity but overall the food is quite good. Would recommend the lamb and pair with a bunch of apps and sides for a small group. Cocktails are quite good.

An excellent spot for cocktail and appetizers off the busy Santa Monica path. This is a perfect spot to go if you are looking for delicious appetizers, drinks and cozy (very aesthetic) vibes.

Everything about this restaurant is basically perfect.

Get ready to pony up with premium prices, however.

It's well worth it!

Good food to share with large parties, was very easy to get reservation same day for large party of 10 on a weeknight. Great rooftop outdoor seating with view of mountains and heaters to keep you warm!
