Very quaint spot tucked in Santa Monica. I always drove by and finally went inside one day and I was pleasantly surprised. Feels very authentic and cultured compared to many coffee houses/cafes in LA and the employees are very kind. Not to mention the food is super delicious and refreshing. I love the small touches they put on each plate. I had an avocado toast recently with micro greens and mint, who woulda thought!

Overall, nice breakfast spot with chill outside seating.

They are looking for a new location to open a new Restaurant for that but serving real Turkish Döner on Wednesdays and Saturdays after 4 PM (which is prepared and served by a real Turkish Döner master) near their big industrial kitchen in a close distance to their coffee house.(just towards 200 meter to East same street)

Atmosphere was very quiet cool, with very organized and thought out decor! The brace that was very nice and the drink ended up testing fantastic! Only drawback I had was it took longer than I expected, considering there was no line? Not sure if it was because of the complexity of my drink or not? A Especially drink made with espresso, homemade vanilla and other ingredients including a Christmas tree.

A small coffee shop with good food choices. The atmosphere is friendly the service is very good. The decor is eclectic.
They have several bakery items and also some sweets to take away.

This is one of the very rare places (if not the only place) where you can have the famous Turkish kebap called Iskender Kebap which is made with a mix of beef and lamb and served on a bed of special pita bread and yogurt on the side. The service plates are traditional wide oval ones and the portions are satisfactorily large. I loved it. The owners and the staff are very friendly and the service is fast and great. I also tecommend the Ispanakli Borek, which is spinach filled filo pastry. This is also a traditional Turkish dish and was very tasty and freshly made. I recommend this savory dish with Turkish tea on the side, which will make a fantastic breakfast by itself! I highly recommend this cozy place to try at least Iskender Kebap and Ispanakli Borek. I bet you will go back for more after your first experience. Enjoy!

Since i stepped in, I was greeted with kindness and felt very appreciated. Food-wise the experience was extraordinary, delicious food with a drop of Turkish taste. Very Unique Art and the owner was very hostile. Absolutely loved this cafe and will be coming here with my husband on a regular. ( it is also listed on LA times as best coffee shop in Los Angeles 🤓)

Wow! What a gem! Great little spot with a warm welcoming environment. Coffee and tea are both excellent. Fresh pastries and amazing daily lunch specials. The weekend brunch menu has a distinct flavor of its own. I had the slow cooked roast beef sandwich with sautéed onions cooked to perfection all on warm ciabatta bread. Took home a veggie and fruit salad to my wife which she loved. This definitely my new spot for good eats and tea.

A friend recommended that I try this location since I'm an avid coffee drinker and it did not disappoint! I enjoyed the vibes of this quaint coffee "haus". From the different art displays on the walls from Darian Burks to Bumblebeelovesyou, Chevy converted bench area, gnomes to the airline trolley carts. I ordered the "haus coffee" with an order of Menemen. I learned that Menemen is a popular Turkish dish that includes eggs, tomato, green peppers and oh my god!!! So delish! My husband ordered the avocado toast with an egg. I couldn't resist and tried it as well. So good!. I was curious when I saw they had an expresso tonic on the menu and had to try. Coffee and tonic may sound odd but with the orange zest added, well that bright and citrusy flavor paired well with the brightness and floral notes of the espresso.

We ended up taking several deserts home. My husband took the Sütlaç (bruleed rice pudding), and I was curious to try the Supangle (Belgium Dark Chocolate pudding with chocolate shavings & Oreo crumbles). Senem (owner) also gave us a slice of the San Sebastián cheesecake saying she highly recommends we try it. My son and I took a small bite of the cheesecake later that day, we knew our husband would love it! It was light, creamy and for me, with a taste of caramelized goodness. When I told my husband it tasted like creamy cheesecake but if as though it had "dulce de leche" he was sold. He ended up eating it! Lol. What I thought was going to be a small coffee run, ended up being a nice, FULLfilling brunch lol. I highly recommend! Thank you Lokl Haus!

The Menemen eggs were really good. My only wish to make them better would be to have it made with 2 eggs instead of one. The smashed eggs on toast was also delicious. My only desire would be for a nicer place (both inside and out) to sit and eat. The had seating outside, but it is right on the sidewalk and could use some decoration.

Wonderful coffee and food spot. Everything was such great quality and the coffee was great (and I'm picky about my coffee!). They make everything here too!

Quality coffee and easy dishes in a Very artsy atmosphere. Love their vanilla latte with smashed egg toast.. Must try.. And would recommend. If you are around it's worth a drive.

This coffee shop is lovely. It’s a small family run business run by locals!

I stopped in and had a Turkish coffee and it was delicious. The pastries are made fresh there every day and a lot of it is baked by one of the owners. I will definitely be coming back here!

A great place to go. The coffee is great. Lemon poppy seeds cake is more than amazing and the coffee cake is yummy.
I wish I went there before

This little coffee shop has great coffee. Brewed just right. Coffee beans are not burned. Rich flavor. I definitely recommend the Turkish coffee with a pastry to balance the rich coffee out with a sweet finish. The homemade Turkish delight was also good (and I don't like Turkish delight!). Definitely give this place a try. Staff is very kind and can help you make your decision if you're not sure where to start. Not a lot of seating if you're with more than 3 friends. And there's parking on the side streets.

Fantastic no-frills latte and bar none the most delicious coffee cake that I have ever eaten.

I cannot overstate how incredible this coffecake was. So soft and dense and pillowy and chewy all at the same time. Their baker might be a wizard.

So I have been looking for a new coffee shop to replace my daily (sometimes more than daily) coffee run to Starbucks.
And finally I have found it here.
The coffee is incredible, yet the Cappuccino and the food is so good, try the chicken salad and spinach borek.
The staff was awesome and helpful.
The menu is great and they offer lots of other coffee options as well. The space is very comfortable and pretty cure.
I will definately be coming back, thus place just made my day today, thank you!

Nice little cafe where you can taste delicious Turkish pastries, tea and coffee. They also have ready to go sandwiches as well as freshly cooked croissants. San Sebastian cheesecake is awesome! Imagine a cheesecake with a wonderful flavor without a bottom crust 💚

I love trying out new coffee shops and this place definitely has become one of my favorites already. The cozy interior made me feel like home, the staff was super friendly and made sure I felt welcomed. The espresso tonic with rosemary was to die for!
