Very nice and helpful! While working near a college campus, freeway, The Westwood Village, and residential area their work is never done! They not only are amazing firefighters and paramedics, they are also very nice people. They'll wave if your passing bye and always have smiles on their faces. Great station!

These guys should probably stick to what they're good at (fire and rescue) instead of using their time to fake 911 situations and hunt down girls in Westwood.

On Oct 3, 8pm at Midvale and Ashton, one of their fire officers (Late 20s/early 30s, White or Hispanic, mustache, dark hat and clothing) was driving around in a fire truck and pulled up to my girlfriend who was walking alone. The officer FAKED a 911 pretense to get her to talk with him and give personal information she otherwise wouldn't have. This was an officer in uniform, on the job, who specifically drove up to her in a government vehicle to do this, mind you.

So after he pretended there was a 911 situation, the conversation took a strange turn and he began asking if she was single. My girlfriend immediately felt uncomfortable, said no, and walked away, but he kept chirping at her while she left.

It's already a moral gray zone for a first responder to be driving around the city looking for girls instead of doing their job, but to use your authority and uniform to fake a 911 situation is crossing the line.

If the fire dept, with the police at UCLA can not keep protesters from blocking doors which is a violation of the law and obviously a public health risk to block fire escapes..These protesters would be blocking the escape routes is a picture in my mind that is infuriating !
Seriously this needs to be addressed as an issue of concern?
The doors may never ever be blocked .If this is what goes on at UCLA,I think parents should reconsider it as a college suitable for our young men and women we intrust their safety with.
if securing fire escapes is not a priority,Every person in UCLA police and fire dept needs to be fired Immediately !Along with administration that gives a stand down order to allow it to happen <<. DISGUSTING !!>>
