Hotchkiss Park

Beautiful park in the middle of a neighborhood. Really relaxing, and a great park to read, relax, meditate. Bring your chair, blanket, pillow and AirPods to enjoy music.

Lovely park; lots of shade, bathrooms. 2 hour street parking nearby.

By far my favorite park in Santa Monica. It is the perfect place for a picnic or to watch the sunset. You can see the ocean beaches of its location up on a hill. There is also a bodega close by you can grab snacks from.

This park was the highlight of my quarantine summer. The vibes in this park are immaculate and it’s spacious enough to stay socially distant from other pairs of people to enjoy the space. With the ocean peaking through and beautiful trees all around, I can’t recommend this park enough to anyone who knows how peaceful and restorative a good park experience can be. Thank you for your service, Hotchkiss Park.

Amazing experience of walking up to this park on a Saturday evening and finding live music!! This man was playing a keyboard with a loop pedal and folks were spread out on blankets on the slope, just vibing. The park has a wonderful grassy slope, some benches, lots of trees, and a bathroom.

Great place to bring the pups. Lots of friendly people and dogs.

The park was not crowded at all when we arrived around 615pm today (Wednesday). Our baby boy Ralo (Neopolitan Mastiff) absolutely loved running around like a kid in a candy shop. Definitely a park we'd return back to. Whilst enjoying the park, there was a worker cleaning the public restrooms throughly which made a very good impression on us and our overall experience. 5 stars for sure. But please people, retrain from tossing micro trash (cigerettes butts, tissues, etc) Thanks and God bless America! 🐕🇺🇸

Beautifully groomed park with a great view of the ocean and sunsets

Beautiful sunsets can be experienced from the top of the cliffs facing the blue ocean. Bathrooms available. The park is mostly quiet and clean with a few pleasing musicians and some artwork spread around. Perfect for a brisk walk or complete relaxation. Tables available for eating etc.

There were people reading, writing, or just relaxing on the grass. Unfortunately we got a ticket because we parked in a 3-5pm no parking Tuesday zone. Didn't even think to look for the sign 😔.

I walk my dog through Santa Monica most mornings Hotchkiss park is our turning around spot. She loves it because of the open space, green grass, trees, people playing, other k9’s , squirrels.
So happy we have this space in Samo.

Great park with regular maintenance. Usually some dogs are hanging out with their owners. My favorite feature is the amenities. Not enough public restrooms can be found when you're out on a walk and this can definitely help out in a pinch. Also there are water fountains!

A little charming park that every friendly dog owner loves. Always an amazing vibe there.

A great stroll for you, you and your dog; even better to run. Just know that everything in beverly hills is better. They do everything right- this roadside park is a good example. To the timid or security concerned - this place is well lit after dark. Like, its really well lit like other places used to be. Beverly Hills is the bombdotcom. You should dress accordingly.😶

Great place to hang out

Where else can you drink outside without it being on the beach. The only comfortable park in Santa Monica near the beach. Great place to relax, chill, and watch the sunset. Great dog watching, too.

Pretty plain Park but it's a fun park to take your dog to and just relax on the grass. It's a downhill Park so if you plan to bring your skateboard, be careful. That's the same for bikes.

One of my favorite parks. It's super clean, great first area while on an angle to have an ocean view. The bathrooms always look like someone just cleaned them.
