every time I come to Freight House, I just have to check out the gallery. Since I was a little girl, the gallery corner has been my favorite aspect of Freight House Square. Since new ownership, there always seems to be a friendly face at the counter, new paintings galore, and a myriad of inspiration. You're sorely missing out if you *Don't* take a look around the gallery!

DOME DISTRICT GALLERY

If you want a super great place to browse artists work on display compliments of DOME DISTRICT GALLERY, this is it! This Saturday the Freight House square gallery, located next to 50 percent off "neighbor shops", last weekend in May, 2023. The art work of beach scenes on surfboard type material is exquisite! Bright, detailed, and any taste for any casual art collector. This little gem is located at the opposite end of Freight House Square, mini shops and restaurants, cross street "D" street and E. 25th near the Tacoma Dome. See for yourself this little treasure.

I attended the art battle held at this location, the venue itself is amazing. The gallery is beautiful and feels “homey” absolutely the coolest place in Tacoma!!

Check out fright house! Haunted adventure.. went last night insane.. they do a great job.. make sure you take pictures in the coffin out front! Have a scarey fun time!

The lighting where the activity was done needed more lighting for this event.

I was an artist that joined the gallery co-op. I paid my space rental to hang my art and took my turn at watching the shop and manning the cash register.
I am a member of the Metis nation of Alberta Canada. Born of mixed blood from a fur trader of Hudson Bay company and a Cree Grandmother. The gallery owners husband asked me by phone one day if I’d be coming I. To work the cash register. I told him yes and that I’d be in soon. He said” good. I’d not want you to be flakie and not show up”. I’ve held a long standing government job as well as previous law enforcement background and told him clearly I’m not the flakie type. He then said “ well since you’re a halfbreed that must mean your only half flakie”.
Immediately went in, broke my artists contract and removed my works. When the wife called to threaten me with breaking the agreement ( less than a week after signing) I told her to bring it to court because I had a civil case of racial discrimination I’d like to mention to the judge.
That was the last that I heard from her other husband.

Thie owner is a user and taking advantage of the misfortune and homeless. It's a shame to have them work and not pay them. I'm reporting you to BBB and I called the management of freight house square! You won't do this again! 👍🏼
