Mitsuwa Marketplace

This is one of my favorite places to get a great ramen and also the market itself its a nice place to get heigh quality fruits, vegetables, meat and fresh fish you can find lots of Japanese goods here

Oh my is this one of the best places to shop at. It has everything revolving around japanese culture. They sell a variety of fresh asian produce for your cooking, an array of snacks and ramen, and a nice selection of meat. The market is quite tidy and could get a little packed. Next to the marketplace is a food stall which sells different japanese food and even has a bookstore!

Solid prices for the food and it turned out to be pretty filling. Really handy for turning a grocery shopping trip into a dinner outing.

Also, they have a really good selection of groceries as well - we'll almost certainly be coming back.

This is one of my favorite Asian markets on the west side. More restaurants have started accepting credit cards while not long ago cash was almost always required.

The variety alone is what makes this visit worthwhile, but if you love Japanese culture, don’t miss the grocery sales and the bookstore. No parking validation needed, but be warned that the parking gets so crowded that you might prefer to park on the street, especially in the warmer seasons.

Good Japanese grocery store. They have the easiest parking and the only in-store Japanese food court I know of in the area. They do carry a particular brand of chips that we cannot find at the other stores, but frequently sell out. Kinokuniya is also in-store. I wish they would bring back the katsu sandos in their deli section.

Your go to place for local fresh refrigerated ramen. Unfortunately Marukai Marketplace only has frozen and dried. Well priced raw sushi items. Produce seems higher priced than American supermarkets, but possibly fresher items as well. Santouka Ramen is here!

I love the food they have inside. It’s a place where you can shop, eat and get dessert.

Excellent prices for produce and a wide selection of imported and local products. Lovely stores within the store and delicious food court. It's a village of excellence. Can't be beat, or at least must be seen and experienced. Enjoy the culture & flavor *explosion 💜... Yum!! 🤤

Another great place to eat and shop. Many food choices in their food court. The market has a nice selection of items. This place and Marukai sell many Asian Products. We love buying the Milktea, Canned Coffee, Sushi, and the food court dishes. Thank you!

Great Japanese market. They have a variety of groceries including fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen items, fresh fish, and packaged goods. They have sashimi-grade fish that can be sliced and eaten as it is or turned into sushi. Love this place. Big parking lot with lots of space.

Amazing! So much variety of food and goods. The sushi is very fresh. The wagyu beef curry buns are great.

Love this Japanese market, they have great food in the grocery with a ton of imported foods from Japan. They also have a whole beauty section, as well as a food court in the front. Parking is always busy in that complex but the marketplace is fantastic.

Mitsuwa is larger than Nijiya, and has a good sized food court so that you can get a yummy lunch before or after you shop till you drop. Every Japanese thing you can imagine in a supermarket they have in stock. They have fresh sushi, sashimi, rice cakes and so much more. When we visited the line was over 15 meters long, and yet it went by fast as the clerks work super fast.

Excellent selection, but if you want sushi make sure you hit the cold section before dinner time because it gets stripped bare!

I enjoyed this Mitsuwa Market! The market was mid sized and carried a lot of items compared to the San Gaberial Mitsuwa. Also, the market has a food court inside and had a great lunch!

This classic Mitsuwa location has existed for years. Over time, they had a great Japanese supermarket, food court, and a fun variety of extra little stores. Then they lost some, and in more recent years, eateries and shops came back. Now they've got the main market plus a full food court again, a book store, and more. They're opening a holidays-only baked treats spot soon too. I hope they stick around for decades more.

Vast variety of japanese items along with restaurants. The supermarket items are somewhat expensive . However they have what one is looking for and provides for a unique shopping experience.

My new favorite. The small, all Japanese hot food court is worth the trip. Produce is very fresh and plenty of options for single meals (1/2 a cabbage, small flats of vegetables, fish and meats). Easy to buy what you need and not overspend. Many beers, sakes whiskeys. And plum wine!

Grocery store plus cafeteria equals awesomeness!
Great spot to shop for Japanese groceries and trinkets. The best thing is their cafeteria that has different Japanese meals, affordable and tasty. One stop shop. If they had a Daiso next door it would be even better.

Really cool shop, the selection of pens in the giftshop is excellent! I picked up some Gelly Roll glitter pens😍 the market is well stocked and the food court had many options for ramen, katsu dishes, crepes and boba drinks!
