Tacoma Fire Prevention Division

Words cannot describe my gratitude to the department for their professionalism and compassionate service. I made several calls to them in the past few months as I was caregiving for a friend with terminal cancer. Some of those were legit emergencies but they even showed up to help me move him into a new hospice bed. They were always prompt, respectful and went above and beyond the call of duty. So greatful to the men and women if this department, best fire department ever!!!

First of all, I do appreciate them coming to my house to help my dad. We are people of color (Asian) for your information and I have accent. However, when they came, one of the guys laughed while I was talking to another guy. I didn’t know why he laughed in that situation. It can be because of my accent or whatnot. But for whatever reason, it was unprofessional. All of them are white as well.
