Gog-le-hi-te Wetlands

The wetlands located in the Port of Tacoma near Portland Ave & Lincoln is a Federal sanctuary for the indigenous species of birds and area wildlife. It offer wildlife enthusiest a great backdrop to observe, take photos and interact with the local & migratory animals. Located on the Puyallup River it is dichotomy from the industrial and commercial commerce that dominant the Port of Tacoma with it's man-made deep water ports.

This is a wetland with trails that run through it. People often go bird-watching here. At the far end often times the Puyallup Indians are fishing the Puyallup River. It's on the outer edge of the port of Tacoma property. The parking lot is small but I've never seen it full.

Beautiful view of downtown from the Fife river. Quiet, peaceful.. just a lil smelly

Some sort of trash receptacle is needed. Garbage everywhere. Clean up after yourselves people.
