I had a few bad experiences with the customer service with one of their competitors. Westlake Independent came through with a very extensive inspection and helped me prioritize repairs on my vehicle. Amazing customer service through and through. From the initial call with Sharla, her helping arrange a shuttle and all around exceptional service to Norman giving me a play by play on the repairs and making sure that I am good and road ready. 5 Stars ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Norman, Bruce, Shawna, and the team here have been our go to mechanics since we moved to the area. They al days work with our budget to identify the most important repairs vs. Ones that can wait. They have kept our 2004 viable as a commuter car and helped us figure out an annual budget to maintain it. Very personable, friendly staff with great helpful extra touches like driving me to my local work spot after drop off so I can get back to work. Thanks for the great service.

Was visiting from out of town when my car quit working. Late in the day got towed to the shop my sister uses, and they had me an estimate in a couple hours and repairs done by noon the next day. Outstanding service and courtesy, reasonably priced, and car is doing fine. Excellent!

Norman is an exceptional service adviser who is very knowledgeable, detailed and honest about the repairs needed on your vehicle. My car battery was not charging so AAA jumped me and I drove it to the shop. I had the best service at Westlake Independent thanks to Norman and his crew and I was in and out under an hour with a brand new battery. Bruce and his staff maintain both of my Hondas. My Accord is always dependable and runs great with 180,000 miles. My Civic is the same, with 328,000 miles on it, and they are the only ones who ever work on it.... their pricing is reasonable and very accommodating..... :-)

Lifesavers! My car battery died the day before a road trip. They got me in immediately, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in an hour. And all while being incredibly kind (and patient with my 2 year old). Highly recommend.

I have a 2012 Nissan Rogue. The employees are always kind, very realistic, provide photo reports to substantiate their recommendations, and even rank their recommendations, knowing that the average person, esp with a very old car, cannot afford every repair on the spot. The phone staff are always polite and very helpful. And they even provide shuttle service and occasionally a rental car. Those are a lot of services for one place. It's expensive, but that is the price and privilege of owning a car and not riding the bus. Thank you, WLV Independent Auto! L.A.

I have had a humming noise from my front wheel side for months now. It was getting worse, so I talked to a coworker & and he suggested I see Bruce, founder of Westlake Independent Auto. I spoke to Bruce about my problem, and he is going on a test drive to diagnose the issue to get a great price (compared to the two other price quotes I had for this problem)—a great place to get this work done for my car. I had no appointment; it took hours, but it was worth the wait. Every person at this shop was friendly and honest and fixed my car with no attitude or disrespect. Thank you again. I will return to this shop, including giving excellent referrals to anyone to go there with car problems!

I’ve been taking my Honda here for the past 4 years. Bruce and Norman always make sure that I’m aware of the work that needs to be done on my car. I never feel like I’m being taken advantage of and I trust their work. They also provide great value for the work they do. Everyone here is very friendly and I will continue coming back. This is how every auto repair facility should run!

I've been going to Bruce (and his team) at Westlake Independent Automotive for over 20 years. His shop is AAA approved, has trained mechanics and is an honest shop. He has always suggested to me and my family to get the best and most reliable used car (inspected them before I bought them and told me which were good or not) and had them serviced at the proper times. His service has saved me thousands of dollars over the years. They always know what they are doing and willing to work with you. They also have rental cars for you to drive home while you car is worked on. Thank you again Bruce and everyone for all your help.

This was my first ever car service experience in the US, I have found them through searching auto service centers around in the Google and to be honest, they definitely deserve this 5 star! They are very friendly and professional, they don't think about making money from you, they are committed to a long term business with their customers. I will definitely go there again as long as I live in this area.
