My lunch here was delicious. The egg roll was the only slight disappointment as it tasted a bit like a deep fryer in need of cleaning . The price however, $10.95 for two apps, fried rice , soup , and an entree, ( I had the garlic chicken, delicious) it's worth the five star review. The only drawback was my server was very distracted with another customer and wasn't very attentive, so only reason why I gave his service four stars I'm sure I was just there at the wrong time. If you're in South Tacoma and you're looking for a delicious inexpensive meal I highly recommend.

Love the atmosphere here at Yen Chi g! The aromas of the cultural dishes wafting through the dining area was so devine! We love the Mongolian Beef and the Almond Chicken with fried rice and vegetables.... one of our favorites! So much food we ate the leftovers the very next day. Always a pleasure as the staff are so polite and the food delivered quickly!

I'm a big fan of Szechuan food, and I finally found good Szechyan food here! The Mapo tofu and twice cooked pork were as authentic as I've had. Also, great, quiet atmosphere.

Absolutely incredible! I ordered several different dishes incase one of the was not good. All of them are absolutely incredible, this is some of the best Chinese food I have ever had. As a over the road truck driver I can assure you that I have eaten Chinese food in every state and the overall food quality, and presentation makes this one of the best places I have ever eaten. The food flavors just pop in your mouth from the first bite until the last.

Visited today for lunch. We ordered orange chicken which was light and crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Sauce had fresh orange garnish and was very tasty. Our second dish was garlic shrimp. We were impressed at the amount of shrimp and it was cooked perfectly. So delicious with steamed rice. We will definitely visit again when in the area.

Best Chinese food we have probably ever had. Saw reviews on Facebook (tons of comments) and wanted to try this place. Tonight was perfect to have this comfort food. We had the pot stickers, orange chicken and Mongolian beef. All perfection. We can't wait to come back and try more things. The restaurant itself is very comfortable and what you want to experience while having Chinese food! Can you tell we loved this place?!? Why are you still reading this - you should already be there eating by now!!!

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CHINESE FOOD I'VE HAD SINCE LIVING NEAR KAU KAU IN SEATTLE! We live an hour away and we drive to this place just to have it every few months. The service is amazing, the setting is so classically Chinese restaurant and I will never stop raving enough about the food.

Best Chinese in Tacoma - 25 years I’ve been coming here never a bad meal. Consistently consistent and fantastic. Lemon Chicken, YEN CHING Chow main, shrimp with green onion are fantastic. The soups are to die for. Don’t judge the parking lot or other business. This is s must.

Love this humble little place. The food and people here are always great.

Service has always been prompt as well. There's a sports bar in the other room too if you're into that stuff. Always parking as well and the place is never too heavily crowded. Prices are decent and affordable.

Also biggest plus: the servers are really hygienic from what I've noticed and the place is always fantastically clean. The owner is always around it seems as well and he's really nice as well. Even the seats feel clean every time I've been here.

I love the Yen Ching chicken sauce so I order it with the Yen Ching scallops instead of the typical Yen Ching scallop sauce. If you're not feeling well or sick, order the hot and sour soup. It helps :)

Really nice surroundings, took me back to being a kid when going out for Chinese food was considered a bit fancy...food (mongolian beef, veggie fried rice, spring rolls) had good flavor, service was flawless. Will definitely be returning

This is the best Chinese restaurant I've eaten at in the Puget Sound region. It is an absolute hidden gem with super fresh food and the sweetest employees who have been there for decades.

A really nice place. The food is served family style and you get a nice amount, especially rice. Our server was super sweet and made sure we were well taken care of. The restaurant is well decorated and very beautiful. I would love to go back!

Loved the look on the inside of the restaurant. The outside looked a little rundown but don't let that discourage you. The food was amazing and I saved this place to come back.

Very large portions. This is authentic Chinese is made very fresh. Spicy level 3 was not that spicy but I like it hot! Spicy Crispy Chicken was very very good.

Really good classic, Americanized Chinese food. We had General Tso's chicken, egg drop soup, twice cooked pork, and fried rice. Their spicy mustard, which came with the deep fried spring rolls, does not play around! All were delicious. Service was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The atmosphere is a bit Retro but cute and very comfortable.
