I tried making two payments, one directly from my bank account and one from my bank card. Capital One restricted my card and was trying to verify my identity with my bank of which my bank said no-file a document for that info, then they were trying to make me submit a bank statement with all my personal information to “verify” me! Seriously? I was trying to pay my balance and they are requiring me to submit personal information that can put me at risk? Absurd! I had them close my account and am going with a competitor. Sick and tired of speaking with outsourced individuals asking me for my social and personal documents. Terrible service!

Would give zero start if I could. I am unable to use my debit card for cash withdrawals or purchases. I contacted Capital One customer service and they are absolutely no help. They tell me my card was flagged for security reasons but are unable to tell me what those were or when/if the card will ever be cleared. This started when I tried to use an ATM at a Capital One Cafe and it wouldn't go through. Customer service was contacted twice and I was ultimately told to try a non Cap One ATM. That was their solutions-to go to another bank. I tried that and it worked so I thought everything was ok.
Now I am travelling in a foreign country and have no access to my funds. I used my card at both ATM and POS when I first got here. Now my card is flagged again for "security" reasons. I have done nothing out of the ordinary so I don't know what the hell triggered it. Their suggestion to me was to try it again tomorrow and if that doesn't work then I will have to find "another way". Again, their solution is to go to a different bank. I hear you Cap One-GO TO ANOTHER BANK.
