Amor is the best! Truly listens and has a great sense of style that is reflected in each flattering, durable cut. Very professional, nice attention to details.

I have been truly amazed over the past five years of the loft privato (formerly The Loft) and its stylists. I’ve come and brought my two school-aged daughters in for trims and for myself, cut and color (and had my first double bleach process and tone/gloss done). Abel now has his own Highland Park salon and gave me the perfect pixie cuts I’d strived for, and stylists such as Heather, Lisa, Amore and Eva worked with my daughters and/or me during various visits. The staff are polite, friendly and upbeat and are great conversationalists. I’m always offered a drink when arriving and at their new Colorado Blvd location, site of the former Yogurt Haven there are even light treats and candy!
At my most recent visit, the sweet and talented Heather helped me decide to bleach and color my box-dyed auburn pixie cut. When I wanted to go lighter, she changed it, and when I thought I wanted smoky grey instead, she changed it for me yet again, no extra charge, since I’d returned within 7 days. I had never plunked down $200 for bleach and tone before but didn’t dare attempt to do it myself from a box kit at home for fear of damaging my hair. The loft privato was helpful to me because I tried going to two other salons but they were either fully booked or didn’t want to take on the task of changing my dark auburn to smoky grey. The loft privato stepped up to the plate for me!
A serene and restorative environment and ambiance, you can’t go wrong with loft privato. Yes, prices are going to be higher than your chain hair salon, but they will be well worth it! Treat yourself and you’ll be hooked!

This was the best hair cut i have EVER gotten!!!! I have really curly hair and can never find someone that can do curly hair, make sure to get Emily! She is the best! She understood my uneasiness to get my hair cut and explained to me the whole process and why she was doing what she did. She is really chill and fun and definitely knows what she is doing when it comes to curly hair. Highly recommend Emily

I got my first post-quarantine haircut with Britni and she absolutely NAILED IT. I gave her a general idea of what I wanted, and not only did she take my ideas to heart but she did it better than I could have imagined. She somehow picked up on what I was asking for despite the fact that I didn't quite know how to ask for it. Not only that, but after I washed my hair a couple days later using my regular routine, I STILL loved the cut. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to a stylist and they've completely ignored what I'm saying in favor of doing what they want and/or put so much product in my hair at the end that I have no idea what the haircut they gave me actually looks like. I will definitely be going back to this place in the future. I can not recommend it enough. <3

This was possibly the best haircut of my life. I called and was able to get a day of haircut, and I had the fortune of getting Cori the stylist. She literally transformed my haircut and gave me confidence and happiness I haven’t felt in months :) She was extremely kind and listened to everything I said, especially that I had been growing out a bad haircut from the summer and was hesitant to try anything new. She never pushed me on anything, but was so confident and professional I knew to trust her ideas and I am SOOOO glad I did!! The loft itself is beautiful and bright, everyone looks happy in there. There were so many different types of people coming in to get their haircut as well. I have felt that vibe in salons that I’m not cool enough to be there, but this place has the beauty and vibe of a high end salon but with a warm and welcoming environment! You can sit down in a chair and relax. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially my stylist who gave me an amazing vintage cut, Cori!

This is wonderful salon. My stylist is Cory and she is amazing. Excellent haircuts for my unruly hair, awesome highlights. Everyone in the shop is welcoming and friendly, and they make you coffee!
I highly recommend this shop and Cory as well.

I see Audrey @ The Loft, and I get lots of complements each time she cuts/styles my hair. She knows what length looks good on me, & what proportions will balance out my features. My husband gets his hair cut by Audrey as well -- and I think it's the best look he's ever had!

I saw this fantastic, very short haircut on a young (8 years old?) girl at our Christmas Eve church service. I was so impressed with the excellent technique and execution, especially on the back of the head, that I asked where she had had it done. "Clay at The Loft in Eagle Rock. He is the owner," was the answer. I will be visiting Clay in the new year. Merry Christmas to all!

Free espresso, great cuts, friendly service. I HIGHLY recommend! Abel was my colorist and stylist. If I could take him with me to Philly, I would! He's one in a million. 😭

I had permanent color and a cut from Lisa, first time. Very happy with the outdoor service and consistent use of masks & other hygiene protocols. Also happy with the color and cut. Will definitely be back.

I've been coming here for a few years now and love it. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Amor does my hair and I always get compliments on it afterwards, she is able to find a cut that really works with my hair type.

I walked in between visiting two places in the area. The owner of the shop volunteered to help me. We are trying to recover from a disaster of a cut (from another shop)! I walked out feeling more confident than I have in the last year!!! Thank you sooo much!!! If you live close, DEFINATELY make this your place!!
