THIS IS THE OLDSCHOOL PLAYGROUND YOU"VE BEEN LOOKING FOR! We were so excited, even the adults, to go flying down a metal slide shaped like a fish! The Sealife part is full of imagination. The new playground has great climbing structures. The kids love it!

Loads of shade for those of us who aren't a fan of the sun. Lots of walking paths.
Don't walk, run here!

A welcome break for residents that is just a short walk away from where we are staying over Thanksgiving week. Vincent Lugo Park is a great pocket park for all ages.
There is exercise equipment, picnic areas, and children's play area. Very family friendly and relaxing with all the greenery.

So cute!! Shady during the day, really clean. There’s also a hiking trail in the back.

Natural plant fragrance wafts through the park.

I used to come here as I Kid with my dad and my sisters. One of the best memories I have when I was a kid, and I loved every moment of it. Can't believe it's still here and well taken care of. There is a variety of playgrounds here that include slides, Swings, and other fun playgrounds. You can take a nice bike ride, or just hang out and read a good book. They also have workout equipment too for the adults, and lots of picnic tables to enjoy a good lunch or a birthday party.

The park is divided into two areas, with a grassland-based square, amusement facilities, barbecue stoves and party tables and chairs. The other part is a sandy area, on which there are many cartoon image sculptures of undersea animals, on which children can climb to play. There is also a party house with many tables, where gatherings and theme parties are very convenient. There are many places for children to play here, and the children like it very much.

Brought my 18 month old here and she was like meh. Lol She is very picky with her parks but anyways, I would of loved it here as a kid. You can tell its super old school because of the metal slides. Not the safest playground where the sea creatures are but it's the best for your little ones imagination. Restrooms and vending machine available.

Great playground, native plant area with info, and best of all no cigarette and cigar smoking every Sunday morning like at Eaton Blanche park for their NA meeting.

A truly one of a kind park! You may have heard about the many wonderful ceramic sculptures here and may be confused as you pull into the parking lot. Thee is a path just to the right of the baseball field that will bring you right to it! “La Laguna de San Gabriel” or “Monster Park” was created in 1964 and was out on the National Registry of Historic Places in 2017. Benjamin Dominguez made the sculptures at the age of 70, which was his final project. Even despite Covid, it’s fun to visit just to take in the slides even without riding them. There was virtually no one in this section of the park when we were there. A must visit!

as a child my family celebrated many occasions here, i love the animal slides & the serpent is amazing!!! recently brought my grandson here for the 1st time, he loved it. although it has changed over the years, the main attraction remains, as if not at all changed in over 40+ years.

It's a nice park. Not as crowded as almansor park, but also not as big. There's a playground area in the back (back left from the parking lots). There's slides and some stone animals to climb on. It's not very appropriate for small kids under 3 to run around in on their own. I saw a girl that looked around 5 go down the slide on her own and it was too steep/fast, she landed hard on her back. It's a sandy playground so expect to have some sand in your shoes.

There's an outdoor gym area by the playground and at the front of the park by the parking lot. They are all in good shape and I've always found them to be clean.

There's a dirt trail/ jogging path that runs along the length of the park in the back. It can get muddy if it's rained or one of the sprinklers watered it by accident.

There's a fenced baseball diamond between the playground and the parking lot. I see people take their dogs in there a lot. Beware of poop.

There's shaded benches scattered throughout and an area with multiple lunch benches covered by a gazebo between the bathroom and the playground.

Overall it's a well kept park with plenty of shade. Great for lots to run around. Especially in the front grassy area.

Lovely park with 2 playgrounds, a modern ship themed playground, and a playground designed by Benjamin Dominguez. This park has some of the best examples of his work. They're beautiful pieces and super fun to play on. The modern playground is visible from the parking lot. To find LA Laguna de San Gabriel (the playground designed by Benjamin Dominguez), you have to follow a wide, flat dirt path across a bridge (look for the octopus on Google maps). There's also fitness equipment. The bathrooms are clean. There are also nice picnic tables and lots of grass.

Super love this park in San Gabriel, every morning 5:30AM you can come here to practice Falun Gong and do meditation with Falun Dafa practitioners. Peaceful and nice park in this area.

This park, especially the playground, is very unique. The structures of the playground is constructed with solid cement with the theme of Monsters. Structures feel historic and it is placed on the National Register of Historic Places aka NRHP. It's well worth a visit.

The dinosaurs and sea life is in the back of the park, to the left, hidden pretty good, from the rest of the park. Stay on the trail, go over the bridge, and stay to the left. VERY COOL PARK!!

The park is the largest in the city of San Gabriel. It has baseball fields and they’re lit in evenings. The park has two playgrounds. It has a nautical and dinosaur playground with just slides or climbing. The second playground has swings and new tot and kid playground. It also has a very nice walking path and easy parking. The ice cream truck usually comes daily and parks in parking lot. Bathrooms available at both playgrounds and park has picnic tables with shade.
