Love, love, love Ugly Roll sushi. Beautiful delicious large slices of fish, wonderfully prepared. Everything was absolutely delicious. This is my number one pick for sushi granted it’s a small place but I had to give it five for atmosphere because the food is so good. The service is so wonderful that nothing else matters. I actually came to pick up my food and they greet you with a cup of green tea an incredible hospitality that has become rare in Los Angeles. Thank you Ugly Roll sushi for being amazing!

Great hidden spot for sushi in this area, staff is very accommodating. We arrived a little early for our pickup order and they offered us tea while we waited. Highly recommend!

I’ve been there from day, one that Sushi grade tuna from a sushi chef, Owner/entrepreneur that gets the best fish. Only prices are insane. The foods insane, I just seriously missing out if you don’t go there maybe it’s a hole in the wall to you, but it’s a high quality expensive Sushi grade food Hand cut from a chef price was is a joke. I will be raising the prices just from this review. The food is delicious. Everything is delicious. You can’t go wrong from every role, even these people that cook stuff they have everything is fresh. Made to order is delicious. I eat there three times a week at least

Incredible hidden gem — sushi is fresh and high quality, the service is great and very friendly, plus you can’t beat the happy hour prices! We walked out of there sooooo full and it was about $30 a person with tip included. Can’t beat that in LA

Remember when they opened in 2008 and my 5 year old and I would eat every weekend as a treat in a budget. The young owner was super cool and we would draw art on the paper walls. Fresh, affordable and miss this spot now that I live in SD 😞

I loved the experience here. Heated hand towels were brought to us while we ordered. The owner was so incredibly nice. Ordering on the touch screen was really simple and the restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere all around.
If I lived here I would come by more often.

If you're thinking about getting some sushi at great value, go here. You can't find any other place with this quality at an insanely low price. They also always give out free meal, a chicken teriyaki plate with gyozas! Fantastic little place in West LA.

It’s not “cash only” anymore they accept credit cards too. It’s a great spot! My wife and I love coming here, the sushi is not pretty but it’s pretty good! They are so nice the sushi is very tasty, don’t miss out on this hidden gem, come check it out!

I love ugly sushi because its FRESH MADE. they deliver fresh made, also you can dine in if you're smart enough to read the sign in the front door that says please use back door. If you are worthy, you too can dine in and watch others as they attempt to open a locked door.

Servers were really nice! Might be the best service I've had for a sushi place. Food is definitely bomb! 100% will recommend!

They accept card and cash. But if you pay with card you don’t get the option to Tip, so therefore bring some cash for tip since cooks get down and make you an awesome meal for eating in or for Togo.

They are still Open and helping us get our Sushi Fix! This is My wife’s Favorite sushi spot and the Volcano 🌋 roll DOES NOT disappoint!! I also get the Salmon plate which comes with Fried veggies (tempura). They helped me through the side door, I called 10min ahead while on Fwy from DTLA and once we got there the order was ready! Owner was so friendly, even hooked me up with some Purell from a bottle he had Nearby! Now that’s Customer service and looking out for your fellow humans!

The best value for sushi around the neighborhood. Generous fish portions on the sushi, great sides (tempura, salad, soup , etc), friendly service. Cards accepted. Easy online ordering. Highly recommended.

Came not expecting much but left very satisfied by some fresh delicious sushi. They have touch screens at each table to order your food and drinks. It’s very easy to use and convenient. The sushi is fresh,delicious, and very cheap. I recommend the ugly roll, it has to be one of the top 3 best rolls I have tried. I will definitely be back!
