Can I give 6 stars? Easily the most informative and attentive aviation museum staff you will find. Ask Luke about why thrust vectoring isn't all that. Ask Tim about why the yf-23 is better than the f-22 and how the yf-17 got to paris. Parents, bring the kids because this whole place is story time for aviation-loving children.

The museum is not a huge collection, but quality over quantity is the way to live. These aircraft are unique. The f-14 is a former Top Gun aircraft. The A-4 is a former instructor aircraft. The HL-10 is futuristic yet classic. The f-86 is set in the museum main area, and you walk around it as you read up on exhibits and see models of a wide array of aircraft.

Most impressive are the yf-17 and the yf-23, both of which are extremely unique and historic. It is so weird to touch the 23, which was too advanced for its time. The giant moving tail, missile bay doors and massive intakes are all things you can walk up and touch....unless you are in the air force, this is likely the only stealth aircraft you will ever be able to do that to.

Theres more, but I didn't give myself enough time to see the rest because they close at 3pm. But I'm def going back. Worth every penny of the 8 bucks. Ask about activities going on, they have great events coming up. They are letting kids help repaint the yf-23!!!!

An amazing place.

This museum is growing and recently got more hanger space to display their aircraft. The main museum and artifacts are one hanger, along with a few planes. The space between the hangers now is a place where they can park their collection of F14 and A4 aircraft.

The second hanger has an amazingly kept harrier jet. In our visit, the main attractions are the YF17, which was the test plane that became the F18, and the GE powered YF23 stealth fighter. The fighter, better known as the one that lost to the F22 in flight trials.

The staff was awesome and does great with kids, showing them interesting things to keep them engaged. Hopefully the museum can expand more to share their collection of aviation items better.

Do not miss this place. First time I visited I spent 3hrs there, and I already want to go back. Not only the exposition is very curated and you have the opportunity to see one of the only two YF23 ever built, bit the people here are wonderfully passionate

The only place to see one of two YF-23 prototypes. The Only other one being in Dayton, Ohio at the national airforce museum.

Friendly staff and super knowledgeable, would absolutely reccomend.

Had a wonderful time at this Aviation which have some of the rarest aircraft like the YF-23, YF-17, F-14, A-4, F-5, F-86, and T-8 Harrier. The workers are very knowledgeable of the aircraft’s information.

Not what I expected! This museum has a several aircraft and passionate and knowledgeable guides from industry to answer questions. Amazing especially to see 1 of 2 YF-23!! You can also sit inside an F-5. Lots to see and learn here and close by for any South Bay resident.

Great museum for aviation enthusiasts. There are quite a few exhibits geared towards aviation in Southern California, as well. The museum also has guest speakers on Saturdays through much of the year.

Great Museum!
The ticket is $5, but you can learn a lot.
They were nice to answer your questions.
FYI...If you want to see YF-23 closely, you should arrive in Sat/Sun morning.

Very small museum BUT some really cool prototype military airplanes. YF23, YF17.
The not so prototype but my favorite plane because I worked on them for 4 years the Beautiful F-14 Tomcat!
For the $5 price of admission this is a great way to spend a few hours!

Even though I work at the airport, it's still always nice to go over to the museum. The docents are all super knowledgeable and enjoy sharing the wealth of information to people who visit. Plus, the military jets are now able to be seen up close, right in front of the museum hangar.

One of the best aviation museums in LA in my opinion. Seeing YF-23 and YF-17 was a super dope experience.

The small museum has a few unique jewels of the aviation with several supersonic aircrafts, including the amazing YF-23. You can sit inside the cockpit of a F-5 supersonic fighter, enjoy some awesome prototypes carefully curated by volunteers. Enjoy the awesome F-14 or a fully operating harrier. Bring your kids and enjoy this small but awesome flight museum. Arrive early, they close at 3PM.

Fantastic museum with lots of cool exhibits. You can get really close to all the aircraft, and they'll even let you sit in the cockpit of an F-5. The staff and volunteers were really friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. My 3 year old loved the toy area they have.

What a terrific gem! It isn't the largest aviation museum, by any means, but it has some rare treasures on display, for example one of two YF-23s ever made.
Some of the aircraft, like the YF-23 and a YF-17, are on a back lot; ask nicely and a volunteer will show you around.
There is also a large library with innumerable aviation books and a very fairly priced gift shop.
If you are in the area and even slightly interested in aviation, then this is a must see museum.
