So I hadn’t gone to see a dentist in awhile and was slightly terrified to do so, but the kind folks at Smile Max Dental we’re as helpful as they were accommodating, even as I asked them to tell me if my particular dental situation was the worst they’d seen or if worse existed. They assured me that there were worse. Side note: my dentist also tipped me off about possibly having an underlying untreated/undiagnosed medical condition that I would never have thought to ask my doctor about, which was not only thoughtful and perceptive of my dentist, it was also truly kind. If you’re like me and haven’t gone in awhile to see a dentist, and want to check that off your list by visiting a dental office with professional and courteous folks, you couldn’t do better than Smile Max Dental. They I’m sure are also a great option for those with more responsible dental habits.

I am very happy about the services I received at this dental clinic. Everybody was wonderful from the receptionist to the hygienist to the doctors. I had not been in the chair for a few years. But after a couple of visits, my smile is back. They got me in quickly after my insurance assigned them to me. And it 10 days or all of the procedures were done and I am smiling. Thank you, ladies!

I had a fabulous dental experience here, with Linda Chen, a few weeks ago. A prior dentist had bonded a chipped front tooth, and it lasted only a month. I chose to see Linda, who slotted me in quickly and did excellent work repairing the bond. And she provided additional teeth hygiene advice throughout the visit. I give a full 5 stars based upon my experience, was perfect.

Gaby and Dr. Chen take care of me every time! I came in because of toothpain. They diagnosed the issue and taught techniques to avoid this issue in the future. Can't wait for the next visit!

The staff at this office is incredibly nice and professional. I would happily recommend this office to other friends.

I appreciate the work they have done to date and this is my chosen dentist because of proximity to my house.

Gabby, the office manager at the Culver City Office, overcharged me for a filling 3 months ago. I became aware of this when I received a statement from my insurance company stating the correct fee. I called Gabby to inform her that I was overcharged, and she went into defense mode and said I owed money for the cleaning and xrays. I contacted my insurance company and was told that my cleaning and xrays were covered by my insurance. I had a zero balance. I emailed copies of the insurance statements to Gabby at SmileMax. Gabby said she had to talk to Dr. Linda Chen, the dentist who did the filling and would get back to me. After 2 months and 3 emails Gabby is still giving me the runaround and making excuses not to refund me the difference. In addition to Gabby overcharging me, Dr. Linda Chen who did the filling on my tooth has left me having to change the way I close my mouth and chew my food. My bite is different and uncomfortable. Also I am having a hard time flossing in between teeth that she has worked on. This issue continues to be unresolved and ongoing. Overall bad experience!!!

They installed the crown poorly , it fell off twice. The office closed for Covid and so I never came to install it back. I came back after 6 months , my crown won't fit into the original fitting. The office charged me full price for the new crown.

They first told me it would be covered. So I waited 2 weeks in pain until the main dentist is in office. I even woke up in the middle of the night because of the old crown. I told her I was in pain but they still put for 2 weeks. After I got here, after 2 weeks of painful nights , they told me I have to pay in full. I even called yesterday ,they still told me it will be covered . I only have to pay for the lab which is $150. All of sudden, they told me I have to pay in full.

Whenever I came here ,there is always new dentist. They never have the same dentist that takes care of me.

One time I was here the nurse was bickering with each other.

I almost never gave bad review but this dental office is not a place for you to get a crown or serious procedure. Maybe just cleaning. I am out of a grand and a not functional crown.
