I’m surprised this place has been in business as long as it has. The have a sign out front for pupusas, which must be their special. I didn’t get that but I ordered a shrimp ceviche tostada. It was a disgrace. Literally frozen shrimp on shredded lettuce on a tostada. Twas my first and last time. But like shout out to surviving in this heavily gentrified area - 5 stars for that

Amazing service! The ambience of the restaurant feels like home. The food is amazing and the owners are so kind. I recommend the shrimp tacos if you enjoy spicy seafood! 10/10

This spot is amazing, small family run authentic Mexican and salvadorean food. The cochinita pibil is the star of the show but they have many other good items.

I’ve only had really amazing experiences here with the staff, they’ve been super kind and have offered us extra chips with our meal.

Man o man these folks know what they're doing. Stumbled upon this restaurant while passing through. They have parking, the service is cool & kind, and the food is perfection.

Ya gotta order correctly, but this place has some great burritos, tacos, and pupusas.

Asada - solid!
Chicken - Nice and not greasy!
Conchinita Pibil - their specialty and very good!

All the burritos have great distribution of ingredients. Tasty rice. It's not as big as you dream it will be, but it's hearty and you'll be glad it wasn't enormous when you finish it.

They will do a chili relleno burrito. Their vegetarian burrito is also solid.

Skip their soup. Also, not a seafood spot.

Don't sleep on their amazing habañero salsa - they sell it by the jar too.

Authentic Mexican and Salvadoran food (including special items from the Yucatán region) served up by the nicest family you will ever meet.

This is the food you're looking for. Really, it doesn't get any better than this. A small, family run restaurant, great service and eclectic things to look at.
I had cochinita tacos. They were perfect. Best Mexican food I've had outside of Mexico City. Make sure and try the habanero salsa, they make it themselves. You can even buy a jar and bring some home, I did!
I wish I would have shown up hungrier than I was, it would have been nice to try a little of everything!

It's clean Mexican/Salvadoran food. Carne asada plate was reasonably priced, portions good, and of course, didn't feel weighted down after eating.
Recommend for college groups and young people.

Amazing food 😋

Good family owned business, I'm not too familiar with a lot on the menu. But the Huevos a la Mexicana is bomb, rice and beans are good with fresh Avocado slices. Fresh squeeze orange or Apple juice, I get them mixed together. And the veggie burrito omg is so tasty, filling and light. I call in my order often so it ready in about 10 mins.

This place is a gem!!! Cochinita pibil is spectacular.

A hidden gem in Echo park this place has delicious pupusas! This is my local place for delicious pupusas my favorite is the cheese with loroco. They only take cash. The staff is super friendly and the place is clean. I have been eating from this place since 2019. It’s a hole in the wall kind of place so you know it will be delicious.

Really amazing local spot for central american food. Casual and quaint and absolutely delicious. Great service. Try the pork pibil, it's next level melt in your mouth. All the meats are great, especially the slow cooked ones.

Good selection of drinks and really affordable prices.

I come here with my friend and it is always a treat. Good for groups too !

I had never eaten here nor even tried Cochinita Pibil but I loved it and will be back since it was very similar to Salvadoran panes con pavo/pollo.

The food was made to order had chicken tacos with onion and cilantro with slices of avocado Excellent the chicken burrito had rice and beans onion cilantro waka moly same with the steak burrito We also ordered bean and cheese Burritos that my girls said they were one of the best bean and cheese Burritos they ever had. The service was great All around great place. parking is a little difficult

Stumbled across this place with no expectations and had an amazing asada burrito. It had a great grilled tortilla, the meat had really good flavor and I liked the salsa a lot. I would definitely stop by again for another!

Mayas' Tacos is delicious and affordable. Their pupusas are quite delicious and I've had both good and bad pupusas in my lifetime. On Mondays and Thursdays, they have a pupusas special: cheese or mixed (pork, cheese and beans) for $1.25/ea - what a great deal!

Other items I tried that were good included the sopas. A nice crispy bottom corn tortilla.

One thing I would stay away from is the tamales, which were nothing special and about $3. Wasn't worth it to me.

I also love this place because it's just around the corner of my apartment.

I love Mayas. They are kind and fast and the food is delicious. I get the veggie burrito weekly and it's a dream. Also love the pupusas, especially the bean and cheese. Eat here pls.
