I really enjoyed my haircut with Nick! My first time at Taka but will certainly be back from him. He really took his time getting to know what I wanted and gave me an amazing scalp and head massage during my shampoo. He checked in with me every step of the way about what I liked and was super friendly. All of the staff at Taka were very kind and asked me if I wanted anything to drink. I highly recommend Nick and Taka!

Yohei colors my hair. It always turns out the exact color I requested on my first visit. He's very personable and does his research before getting to work. This last time I also got a trim. I'm very happy with him. El keep coming back to Yohei

Stumbled upon this hidden gem. Salon is bright and welcoming. Stylists, Manager and Guest Services are Amazing with VIP treatment. Mitsuko completed a cut, color, scalp massage, etc. Highly recommend!

I walked in for a Blowdry with Liz and was blown away. A real talent. Also had to do a family shoot and tried my luck there again early morning. There was no one available but they didn’t turn me away. The salon’s owner came down and did an amazing job styling my hair and charged me a reasonable amount even though it was a rush walk in request. Loved my experience here. Highly recommended.

My first time here, and I had the best experience with Troy!! I absolutely love my haircut - he is so patient, detailed and experienced. He really took the time to understand what I’m looking for and I couldn’t be happier. Left feeling like a whole new person. Can’t recommend enough!

This place was amazing! they did an amazing job on my dreads years ago, pretty straight forward process and the stylist helped me every step of the way including after care tips highly recommended for anyone looking to get their dreads done professionally and correctly.

Sarah did a fantastic job of matching my color within moments of looking at my hair. I will be back. Front desk staff were very welcoming. Clean place. I don't know if it's a chain from Japan or just a Japanese owner but the place is heavily Japanese-influenced. I loved it. The best thing were the mini-shower caps they put over your ears while dyeing your hair. Very charming, cute and Japanese. The hair wash station chair was on hydraulics so it raised up and down. Very cool. Also they offer a digital perm which sounds very high tech but it's a "beach hair" perm. And they sell kimonos.

I did my very second highlight of alltimes here! I wanted a specific "ash brown color" and had an amazing experience with "Jay", She customized the tones and made the color to my taste. Even after washing and drying it, she made a few changes to my benefit, so I go out of the salon 100% happy!
Enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff are all friendly and loved my stylist Jay! 💙

Long hair keratin treatment gem. Maki is my stylist and keeps my waist length mermaid hair healthy and swimsuit model gorgeous with her Japanese styling techniques. I spend about 4 hours here every 6 months or so. I’m here right now actually, and 2 people are drying my hair at the same time. The salon has a dedicated product program of all natural hair regrowth and thickening products which my husband swears by. It’s large, bright with lots of natural light and the staff are hands down the very best. I’ve been coming here a decade. I flew here to get my hair done when I lived out of state, and now I travel from Santa Barbara for Maki’s special touch on my wavy locks. I’ve always found their cuts to be on trend for women and they do so much more interesting styles for men than any other place I’ve seen. I got all my female coworkers to start coming here when I still lived in LA. It’s simply the best.
I see very happy customers aged 10-85 here right now. The vibe is very NY/LA/Tokyo blend.
