Memorial Park

Excellent Pickleball courts. Kudos to City of Santa Monica recreation staff for maintaining the courts so well, for being so organized with the Pickleball events.

As a former employee of LA dept of Rec and Parks, I can say that Memorial Park was in outstanding shape when I attended my grandsons baseball game. Clean water fountains, clean and stocked bathrooms and the baseball infield was imaculate.

Great place to go. There is a small dog park, tennis courts, basketball gym, and small playground for kids.

The ball fields are always in really good shape, and the grass is well-kept and mown regularly. This is one of my favorite facilities for softball.

Just played today, and #3 was in great shape!

Great to see the courts back up and running. I always feel welcome here.

Some buddies and I have been renting the gym for a couple hours every Saturday and our experience has been awesome. The gym is always opened a few minutes early for us, and we get to just enjoy playing on one of the courts for 2 full hours! It's a blast, and if they have any extra slots for renting I would definitely recommend it.

It’s a good park where kids play baseball

Santa Monica Baseball Academy resides here as well as SMLL, girls and women's softball, men's softball. Skateboard bowl and great instructors as well as indoor basketball for super cheap. Great fields, great facilities. Free parking off 14th street by the tennis courts

Bathrooms are a bit dodgy! Parking can be a pain- look for the additional lot behind the dog park. Also, ample street parking in the neighborhood if you don't mind walking.

Nice little park for sports like baseball and skateboarding (there is a field and area for both of those). There is a play structure for little kids and the grass area here is shaded with trees making it a nice spot to have a picnic. Enjoy all the fun you’ll have here!

This park used to have the old rocket jungle gym before it was moved to Ocean park and 23rd. Has the smallest dog park and a coopers hawk in the tallest pine tree every spring. Nice and quiet during the day and I can hear the ball games and see the lights from my house.

Great for letting your dogs run and play with other dogs. Today was especially fun for them. We met a pit mix called Cowboy who was so sweet and loves to play & chase my 2 dogs!

I come here for the open gym volleyball on Sundays which start at 1:30PM. There are varying levels of play available with most players either intermediate or advanced. There is free parking and the crowd can vary from two teams at each level to multiple teams signing up to play. There is a nominal fee for Santa Monica residents and non-residents. The gym is well maintained and is perfect for those interested in a competitive game.

A great proof that a far-sighted city administration and visionary architects can create something wonderful. Great what was created here from an industrial wasteland.

A few tennis courts that have pickleball court lines (you have to bring your own net). Great skate park / baseball fields. Very clean and well kept with a convenient parking lot.

Wonderful program. Outstanding staff. Great climate. Grounds are well cared for, especially compared to LA city parks. Nice gym with dressing room and showers.

Plenty of pickleball courts with generous weekly schedules. Well administered, restroom facilities, large parking lot, walking distance to food.
