Black Bear Diner

First time we eat and we loved it. Amazing place to have breakfast, very good cozy atmosphere, excellent service, incredible food, a place to eat and feel at home! We will return for lunch and dinner. loving this place.❤

I love black bear, one of my favorite places to go for eggs benedict! Service was impeccable from Niel! He checked in on us multiple times made sure we had what we wanted and our water was full!

Great classic diner experience. You can't go wrong! Breakfast or burgers, you're in for a treat. Shoutout to Celia for the great service. She is always so kind to my grandpa when we come here! We will be back, same time next week!

Best food and outstanding service the the Puyallup Black Bear Diner! Our waitress tonight was amazing! I want to give her special recognition as we came in late and were her last table for the night. She was absolutely attentive and took care to ensure everything was perfect. We had a wonderful dinner and our out of town guests were impressed! Thanks again!!!

I had dinner with my family at the Black Bear Diner last night and it was fantastic! Aila, our server, was incredibly friendly and attentive, she was quick to make jokes and was the highlight of the night. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. I highly recommend trying their Bear Claw Chicken Fried Steak.Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience!

My family had my cousin’s birthday dinner here on Sunday night. The food was great but our server Neil really went above and beyond! He as so patient with our huge party of 13 loud Italians, would regularly check in on us, and joked with us like he was part of the family. He really helped make it a great night out, everyone loved him and he even took our picture for us at the end of the night. He gave us truly exceptional service and I hope he is recognized for that! Thanks again Neil!

I was very surprised how good this restaurant was. Most chain restaurants I've been to are just "ok". This one was very well managed, great, friendly service, wonderful, hot food. A positive experience.

Food came promptly and was absolutely delicious. I ordered my steak medium rare and my hash browns extra crispy and everything came out perfectly cooked to order. My server Celia was an absolute delight and went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. The manager, Josh was also very friendly. He delivered our food and made sure everything was exactly how we wanted. The service, food and cleanliness of the restaurant was a 10 out of 10! I highly recommend trying the Puyallup Black Bear diner out. They have a guest first approach and you can tell they pride themselves in delivering excellent service and food!

Mary Carmen was one of the best servers we’ve had. She was so kind and accommodating and made us feel welcome. Our food came out exactly as ordered and was delicious. Muchas Gracias, Mary Carmen!!!

Upon walking in, it’s adorable and friendly. My husband and I went in for breakfast around 11:30 on a Sunday. The host quoted us a 10 minute wait and he was spot on. Gave us a nice little booth by the windows. The menu is amazing with great history, stories, recognitions and of course lots to choose from. The server came by right away with a friendly smile and water. She took our order and and brought coffee right away. Our food took a while unfortunately about 30 min, but when it arrived it was hot and really good. All the way through everything was really nice, the only critique I have is that unfortunately it was cold in the restaurant and it was cold outside. Makes it hard to really relax and just enjoy. We will go back for sure.

Black Bear Diner is part of a chain of western US eateries originating in Shasta, CA. My first time at BBD was for dinner, and the chicken and waffles didn't disappoint. My companions enjoyed their french toast and reuben. I returned again and had the California Benedict while my companion had the chicken fried steak. Again, the food was delicious, the portion sizes are LARGE, and you get more than you pay for here. Service is stellar with polite and attentive servers. Will definitely return and share this great diner with family and friends.

Came this morning for breakfast. They were able to sit us right away. Food was amazing and out server Marycarmen was phenomenal, extremely nice and made sure we had what we wanted. Our water was full. Very good service, Definitely coming back!

Came right before busy hit on a Saturday morning. They were able to seat us right away. Food as always is amazing and our server “Neal the bestest” was phenomenal. Extremely nice and made sure we were taken care of!

Mary Carmen was my server today and she’s done an excellent job on bringing my food on time and making sure if I needed anything every 13mins. These types of servers are rare to find now and days(: very attentive I will definitely be coming back soon the staff are amazing

Mary Carmen was so splendid and such a great person and I’m glad we got her as our server! My first stop after getting off the plane yesterday and I went there with my sister and her 5 kids. We went here for brunch today, our server Neil was great! He went above and beyond for our table and I had my nine month old with us— he made sure my son was taken care of and continued to table touch throughout our visit! Our food was phenomenal and I always forget how big the servings are.

I had the best experience ever at Black Bear. Our server, I think her name was Skylar, made us feel so welcome. I think she could tell that my wife and I had a long day, and she really went the extra mile to brighten our day. The food was great, but my wife and I will definitely come back and request to sit in Skylar’s section. I hope she sees this so she knows what a great job she did. It’s rare to get that kind of service anymore. Thank you for brightening our day.
