I am so happy I found Carlsen. The staff is absolutely fabulous. Danielle, Jose, Karla, and Emily have all been fabulous and both of my dogs run into the clinic and happily greet the staff with wagging tails despite the fact that every time we are there they are getting vaccinations or exams or having blood drawn. It’s so relieving to have a place to take my animals where the staff is excellent and caring, my dogs are happy to visit, and I trust the medical advice. I can’t recommend Carlsen strongly enough.

If my baby is not feeling well, I’m calling the team here at Carlsen. I trust them either way my heart. They are very patient. Caring. Honest and to the point. Got my girl microchipped today. Their prices are truly fair and I don’t have a single negative thing to say about this team. Thank you!!!

Amazingly kind receptionists and vet staff - call before hand for a time that's not busy, it will make your life and their service much better! They will really look after your pet, my dog is always so stoked to visit. After nutering he wasn't feeling or acting his normal self, they asked us to bring him back in for a day. After that pick up he was the healthiest happiest pup I've ever seen. They even called a week after to see how he was doing. Their love and care for your pet really shows in my experience.

The doctor only wanted to do what was best for the doggy. Dr. Bhuta educated our family on a complicated diagnosis as well as its necessary procedures in a way that we could each process well enough to be able to share with our extended family and friends effectively.

Love Carlsen Animal Hospital. My dog Cooper has been coming here since she was a pup. She’s now 12 and I am very happy with the care she has received. Although she doesn’t love going to the vet and gets very nervous she loves Carlos and Dr. Bhuta. They both always take such good care of Cooper and she loves and trust them both. Both are very compassionate. And all of the office staff is wonderful as well. Covid has been difficult but they have done a wonderful job navigating through it. Thank you all for everything. Dr. Bill Carlsen is an extraordinary vet. He's my Lab's vet--she's nearly 11 and still healthy and lively. Earlier he cared for my two other Labrador retrievers who happily lived past 14. Only half joking, I'd like to be his patient. Dr. Carlsen is an exceptional diagnostician, he doesn't push supplements or unnecessary treatments, and he is very pleasant.

Lovely and amazing people greeting you and your pet. They make sure they really take care of your pet. Doctors are amazing with surgery. All are very kind and understanding when explaining sensitive situations. I honestly will only trust this animal hospital when it comes to my dog (he has had 2 successful surgeries with them). You can tell they really care and are not in it to take your money.
Also, extremely clean during this time! They come to your car to get your pet in all the gear to keep everyone safe.

Carlsen Animal Hospital is the only place I trust to take the best care of my cat, Spoon. The staff are kind, friendly, knowledgable and willing to work with their clients to ensure their pets' safety and wellbeing is prioritized. I am so thankful for their willingness to work with my financial needs, and highly recommend them as a business. We have been with Dr. Carlsen's practice for 16 years and they provide outstanding care. Our first dog, Murphy, they looked after for 14 years, from his puppy years to when we finally had to put him down. They have always taken care of our dogs with compassion. I love the staff and appreciate how hard they work.

The vets and staff at Carlsen are very professional and extremely caring. You can tell they do what they do because they genuinely love animals. My cat has been treated so well here, and I will continue to bring him here for checkups and whenever he eats something he’s not supposed to.

Dr Carlsen is a kind, compassionate, really smart dude. If you want a detailed explanation of the how's and whys he is totally willing and capable of giving the granular detail. If you want just compassion he is there. He is also an excellent surgeon. I have been taking my animals here for 15 years. He has seen them as puppies and as seniors. He gives it to you straight and I appreciate that. If you are pressed for time you can drop off in the morning but be warned that a big bill can follow.

Carlson Animal Hospital is the best. I have had many pets over the years and have been to many animal hospitals and none are as compassionate and reasonable as Carlson. I have now referred 2 more people to them and feel confident they will love them as much as I do! They now have a Doctor who specializes in cats and she is FANTASTIC! I will never go anywhere else!

We took our two kittens here and with COVID they are only doing pet drop off services which is certainly tough to do but they handle your pets with care, professionalism and sincerity.

We had our kittens serviced with vaccines and they also go neutered here. Again, no issues with the staff or services. They even called us the day after the surgery to check in on the kitties.

I have been coming to CAH since I moved to LA 9 years ago. The staff is very professional and very kind to my dog, Simba. We have always received number one care, and they have always accommodated us with our needs. Even during this pandemic, they followed all CDC guidelines and continued to provide the best care to their patients/animals. I love our Vet, she is the kindest and most compassionate with Simba. I highly recommend this clinic,

Have been going to Dr. Carlsen for years, with six different animals, four cats and two dogs. He has been nothing but kind, caring, and very, very smart. I, too, have had an excellent experience there and would recommend him highly. No,he's not the cheapest vet you could have, that's true. But I find him worth every penny. I feel very confident about his diagnoses and attention to my pets. I'd also like to add that his front office staff are smart, efficient and sympathetic. It's tough having a sick animal, but when I have to go there, I know they have their best chance to get well.

I’ve taken my several cats over 20 years to this clinic. First to Dr. Carlsen who is now retired and more recently to Dr. Bhuta. This is one of the best vet services in Los Angeles. Dr. Bhuta is an incredible veterinarian. I trust her completely in caring for my animals. Not only is she a great doctor, she is compassionate and easy to communicate with.

Dr. Cyrus addresses issues with explanations and invites questions which she answers clearly and to my satisfaction. Her evaluation and management of my Labrador’s health has been thorough. All members of the clinic staff have been very helpful and have gone the extra mile to keep communication complete with the Doctor, even during the COVID crisis. Recommend highly.

Carlsen Animal Hospital, in particular Dr. Bhuta, is hands down the best vet. After many years of going to different vets, she was the only one who could solve an ongoing issue with our dog. I trust her inherently, and always know she is providing the best care, and always going the extra mile.

Carlsen Animal Hospital is the best vet that I have been to! From the vet techs to the vets, they are all incredibly caring, responsive, professional, and accommodating. This is the only vet where my dog is actually excited when I say we have to go to the vet!
