Dr Ruge and Violet are great. They are very friendly and down to earth and are attentive to what you got going on. I come here to get a body tune-up to recover from weight lifting 🏋‍♂at the gym. Highly recommended 👍

LOVE this chiropractor!!! The environment is so warm and welcoming. Dr. Ruge and Violet are very helpful and truly care about your well-being and health. I started going for lower back pain about six months ago. My back is in better condition and my overall mental health, energy levels and body feel so much better as well.
I feel at home and like family here which I think many doctors offices and healthcare facilities are lacking these days.
My chiropractor days are something I always look forward to.
There should be a ten star option for places like this.

I've been seeing Dr Ruge since June 2022 and the results have been spectacular.
He and his assistant Violet are very thorough in their explanations of the various therapies and exercises they assign.
They also show great empathy for their patients.
Dr Ruge was upfront with his plan regarding how we were going to handle my back problem.
It was an all encompassing plan but with his help I managed to stick with it and im feeling loads better because of it. 👍

I have been seeing Dr. Ruge at Back In Action Bodyworks for almost 2 years now. I had not been in since early January, 2023, because more work schedule took me out of town for an extended period of time. I was in dire need of an adjustment and some soft tissue work. I felt relief and the healing process begin almost immediately. I am writing this review almost a week since my visit and I have more energy and less pain. I am able to concentrate better at work and sleep better at night. Do yourself a favor and get down to Back In Action Bodyworks!

I started coming here because of real bad sciatica. It was so bad both legs went numb and I had lost full mobility wit my right foot. Thanks to Dr. Ruger and Violet I am now walking properly again the numbness is gone and I regained mobility in my right foot. Highly recommend anybody to come by.

Violet & Dr. Ruge are great. I didn't have to wait for treatment and it all went very smoothly. Dr. Ruge made some suggestions for how I can use home exercises to enhance the benefits of his chiropractic treatments.

I can't begin to express how great Dr.Ruge is. I have been in extreme back pain, and recently lost my son. Not only was my Chiropractor honest, caring, and emphatic, but most of all great at what he does! He has a genuine "gift" with his hands. He puts patient care priority. As I have gotten older, mysterious injuries and ailments seem to come and go with more frequency. I first went to Back In Action after an extreme session of sleep where my back just decided to be the source of tremendous pain.

Dr. Ruge did a comprehensive evaluation which included X-rays and was able to diagnose some issues that were a result of decades of compensatory injuries stemming from a car accident. From that point on I have been receiving treatment which includes stretching, exercises, "adjustments" (cracking on the back to break up scar tissue and stiffness) and my favorite which is called spinal decompression.

During the Spanish Inquisition, the rack was considered a torture technique but now modern medicine has figured out a way to relieve pressure on my neck and now lower back to give my spine much needed relief by allowing the disks to decompress via spinal decompression.

The treatments have been a great help not only in relieving pain but gives me a lot of ways to prevent a lot of the aches and pains of getting older.

The best part of my visits are the interactions with the staff. Dr. Ruge and the staff at Back In Action are just the most pleasant folks to work with. Violet is always there to help accommodate my ever chsnging schedule and also gives amazing massages.

Dr. Ruge he is a very talented chiropractor, the issues I had with my back and my feet as a 46 year-old have been resolved. My neck used to jut forward, and the exercises he showed me how to do have helped reverse the problem. He is great at educating and motivating his patients, and always goes the extra mile. His office has a roller table and water table that patients can use as a bonus, and the office staff is always fantastic.

Violet as massage therapist is superb. This is the third set of 10 massages I have signed up for, and it's a great value. Can't recommend them highly enough. (I drive 25 minutes each way, because they are so worth it.)

I initially sought care with Dr. Ruge after an automobile accident. The treatment I received gave immediate and then long term relief. I have continued be a patient for well over 10 years - off and on for various maintenance or sports related strains and stresses. He is continuously seeking new knowledge and techniques that he can then apply. It is important to me that a Dr. keeps up with his field. Kudos to Dr. Ruge. I came to Back In Action with a condition that caused me to live every day with pain, my Orthopedist told me that I was going to live with pain the rest of my life and that someday my back was going to limit my movement to the extent of no longer walking. Being treated by Dr. Ruge the first time I felt a much needed relief of pain. For the first time in YEARS I felt relief, I kept going to Dr. Ruge for 2 months and now I can tell you all reading this I have NO PAIN. I learned so much from Dr. Ruge, I am truly grateful for the difference Dr. Ruge made in my life .

I really like Dr. Ruge, and his office manager/S.O. Violet! They're both always cheerful, positive, upbeat, and funny. The treatments are excellent - Dr. Ruge spends more time and gives more explanation as to what he's doing than any other chiropractor I've ever had. Violet is a fantastic masseuse - her deep pressure will take you to your intensity limit (if that's what you want) and both work together marvelously. They also have a couple of massage tables unlike anything I've ever seen, including one that shoots water jets up and down your back, and Dr. Ruge has all kinds of little gadgets to loosen up knots and pound on muscles so that your joints can more easily let go. The treatment is top-notch, and their company always cheers me up. Way down in Torrance, but completely worth the drive.

The rating is actually a 5 PLUS! I receive personalized care when I get my massage. Violet gives you feedback and teaches you how to take care of your body on a daily basis. She has definitely set the bar high when it comes to other masseuses. Highly recommended!
