Heartwell Park

This is a great, very well maintained park with grand old trees, wide open grass and lots of facilities. Love taking my dogs for a walk during the week cause there is hardly anybody there. On weekends the place is a buzz with baseball and soccer games. The bathrooms are in excellent condition if a little on the old side...

Our family just had an amazing babyshower at heartwell Park !! Clean & beautiful right in the crook of Lajewood and Long Beach a great big park with plenty of space and things to do!!

Nothing like the clank of the ball and snack bar food with the sun shining.

Nice green space within the city, walking paths, small lake with many water birds.
Not great on Christmas lights this year, very minimal.

Great park and excellent use of service property for use by a neighborhood and surrounding areas. Baseball fields with bleachers so you can just catch a game or even just a practice warming up those muscles. Catching up in fresh air. Or taking the little ones out to see how the big kids play. Park is clean and well maintained.

Our visit was to the baseball field on Bellflower and Carson. The park is well maintained. Great walking path for people that like that. Dogs welcomed. There's a playground for kids. Swings for toddlers. Only thing, which alot of parks have, is some homeless roaming around. Not many and not regularly. But always be cautious.

This was a great place to get together with friends for a picnic. The park was clean and comfortable. My dogs loved walking around there.

Even though I made only a short stop here when it was after dark it was still quite an enjoyable experience. The pond and "river" that runs through has quite a bit of wildlife you would not expect to be in an urban environment. I will definitely have to return in the daytime to get the full experience!!!!

Played my first round of golf here years ago. Always a good day. Hit my first Ace here on the 18th hole last week!

Nice, big, clean park with a bike lane, duck pond, and restrooms.

Wonderful, people that live around there are so nice considering every one and their mamas park in front of their house. They're so nice . Enjoy heartwell

Super small, quiet park that is great for a quick stop. Tucked in behind the golf course, it is rarely busy and you can park super close.

This saved the day a few times when Eldorado was closed or busy.

Equipment is nice enough, kids loved it.

Beautiful park to visit and take a stroll through. I take my 4 dogs here all the time and almost weekend I'm never disappointed..only complaint I have is people walking with their dog off the leash and this can be a bad thing as dog think differently. I own 4 bullies and hate stopping and turning around to.avoid people .

One of the lesser known gems hiding in the parks department catacombs. Personally one of my favorites, outside of the busy afternoons when the fields are full of athletes and the bleachers with screaming "fams." 🤣

If players took care of this place like the employees do and maybe had a Marshall to check people from driving on the tee boxes from time to time then I believe this place would be a destination for all golf enthusiasts. I really like the course layout and that you don't have to hit off of Mats. The staff is always friendly day or night shift and you cant go wrong with joining the players club for a free bucket of balls every day and a free beer if you play the course! Also, how do the children playing in groups of 4 play faster than adults? LOL to the adults.

This park is huge. It goes from Los Coyotes Diagonal to Long Beach City college down Carson. There is a bike path that goes through the park. Parking fills up quickly during some mornings when games are in season. There is a lot of shade, trees and places to sit and relax. It's very much a dog friendly park. There is a pond with ducks, turtles and fish. There are people who fish out of the pond. The park is huge, so you won't have to worry about being around too many people.

Birdcage park is a very small park located right next to the Hartwell Park Golf Course. Worth the effort to locate if you have young children.
