Gene Juarez Salon & Spa - Tacoma

I absolutely love the new downtown Tacoma location! So chic! Everyone is so friendly and the entire experience from start to finish is superb. I wish my hair grew faster so I could go more often so I started getting skin services too!

Have moved to Tacoma and needed a new hair stylist after 30 years with my old one. I was extremely lucky to have William (Bill) take my appointment. He talked to me about my hair, what activities I do and how much interest I have in styling my hair. He gave me a wonderful cut, not too long or short!!
I also had a face wax, It couldn't have gone better. Karissa talked to me about the process first. She was very gentle, got all the wax off my face and checked with me during the process to make sure I was comfortable.

My little sister had her curly hair consultation and styling done by Amanda. She wanted bangs and products to be able to make her curls bounce and Amanda gave her excellent recommendations as well as taking the time to teach her how to style her bangs herself! Since she has left the salon, she has a new confidence that I owe all to Amanda for her kindness and welcoming personality.

I was ecstatic that they moved out of the mall. I love the new location. The staff are always courteous and friendly. Appointments are easy to make, and they tell you exactly how much it will all cost before your actual appointment. I'm never disappointed.

If you have textured hair be sure to see Genevieve! I've always had trouble getting curly/wavy hair to look right. Genevieve listened to my concerns and talked through some options and asked questions about exactly how I want it to look. Best haircut of my life! She is amazing! Will definitely be going back to Genevieve in the future.

Love the new location in downtown Tacoma! It's a dope vibe, clean, trendy and modern. Service is professional and welcoming! Big upgrade from the So. Center location I've been going to for 10+yrs. Parking is steps away and lots of great spots for cocktails/apps in walking distance to show off your new doo! Loyal to GJ always, but downtown Tacoma GJ is now my new hair spot!

I got a wax from Vina today and it was absolutely perfect! She is extremely professional and personable at the same time. My eye brows look perfect! If you need someone for waxing she is your girl! I would hands down see her for any service! The front desk was also super quick and really friendly. Great over all experience!
