Have been familiar with RSL speakers as long as it's been around. The company has always taken the lead in value & quality product & is now a leader in subwoofers..staying ahead of the curve.

The 1970’s meets 2021. I have a Denon AV receiver that I have been using for my home theater system. Although it sounds great for watching movies and TV shows and listening to music as well, I thought I would like to have a dedicated stereo Hifi system for just listening to music. I was a teenager in the late sixties and early seventies and like so many people of my generation, music was an important part of my life. Everyone I knew had a sound system which consisted of a receiver, a turntable, a cassette deck and speakers. However, a number of my close friends, who really took their music seriously, owned a Yamaha receiver and a pair of RSL studio monitor speakers. At the time and for the money (and at that age money was very limited), RSL speakers were the best you could buy. I remember visiting the RSL showroom and comparing the various speakers in their sound rooms. The obvious choice to so many people were the RSL speakers. So, as you can imagine, to my great surprise and delight, I was excited to see that RSL was back in the manufacturing and sale of speakers. Without any reservation or hesitation, I purchased a pair of CG3 speakers to use with my Denon receiver. Wow, do those speakers sound sweet! So, when I started putting together my stereo Hifi system, my search led me to Yamaha integrated amplifiers because of their continued reputation for good sound and high quality plus my own personal experience with them (they were a featured receiver at the RSL store). To go with my new setup, I decided to go with a pair of RSL CG5’s. I ordered the speakers over the phone with Joe who helped me choose the right speakers. He was friendly, informative and he appreciated my business. The speakers arrived on my doorstep the next day (I live nearby). So, it’s in the details, while unboxing the speakers, I go to remove the protective fabric, when I notice that the tape holding it secure is folded over at one end making a pull tab for easy removal. WHAT THE … ! If they’re putting that kind of attention into the packaging, imagine what attention to detail they are putting into their speakers. Well, I have been listening to my new speakers for a few days now and I couldn’t be happier. They sound wonderful. Late at night, I turn the Yamaha’s variable loudness control knob a little more than half way to -30dB from FLAT and adjust the volume. The result is a rich, full sound that doesn’t disturb the rest of the house. Thank you RSL with your help, I hit a home run. My setup is a Yamaha A-S501 Integrated Amp, a 1970’s Technics SL-D2 Direct Drive Semi-Automatic turntable and a pair of RSL CG5 Bookshelf Speakers. I also use a Topping DX 3 Pro+ DAC for streaming Hi-Res music to my amp from my phone, tablet and computer. Thanks to RSL I’m reliving the seventies with the sound quality of today!

RSL Speedwoofer 10S MKII Subwoofer Review
I've had the pleasure of integrating the RSL Speedwoofer 10S MKII into my audio setup, and it's been a game-changer, particularly for my music listening sessions. These subwoofers are also a fantastic complement to any home theater system, but where they truly shine is in their ability to produce tight, articulate bass that enhances every beat and note.

In my setup, I've strategically placed two Speedwoofers in opposite corners, which has resulted in an incredibly full and even bass response throughout the room. This dual placement brings out a level of depth and uniformity that I've found to be quite rare compared to other systems I've heard in my community. The difference is not subtle; it's night and day. With a single subwoofer, you get a great experience, but with two, the soundstage transforms entirely.

What's impressive about the Speedwoofer 10S MKII is that, despite its sealed-box design, it never leaves me wanting for those lower frequencies that are often associated with ported subwoofers, even during intense movie sequences. They manage to go surprisingly low and stay musical, which is something I value greatly.

The precision of the bass with these RSL subwoofers is remarkable. There's a distinct clarity and tightness that I’ve yet to find matched by others in its class. It's this accuracy that makes the Speedwoofer 10S MKII stand out, especially when you're after that perfect blend of punchiness and subtlety.

On the customer service front, I have to give kudos to RSL. My interaction with their support team, specifically mentioning Joe, was exemplary. When I encountered an issue with one of the amplifiers, the response from Joe was not only knowledgeable but also genuinely helpful. The professionalism and care for their customers left a lasting impression on me, and it's clear that RSL values their customer relationships highly.

Comparatively speaking, I've also tested the SVS SB-1000 Pro in the same acoustic environment. Although it's a fine subwoofer in its own right, the RSL Speedwoofer 10S MKII has a leg up in terms of delivering that tight bass for music that I personally find essential.

In summary, the RSL Speedwoofer 10S MKII has been an outstanding addition to my audio arsenal. Whether you're an audiophile or just someone who loves a good movie soundtrack, these subwoofers will not disappoint. And no, this isn't a paid review—just the honest impressions from someone who appreciates a quality audio experience. With stellar customer service and a product that speaks for itself, RSL has won me over.

I bought my home theater system two years ago after doing a ton of research. It has not disappointed and it was money well spend.

By Monday, Andrew had responded and a fix on the way.

FANTASTIC products and even better customer service!! We bought our setup in 2017 and have used it every single day. The amplifier on the subwoofer blew and we are way out of warranty, but they were super fast to respond to emails, allowed us to buy the part and it didn't even come close to breaking the bank, shipping was fast, repair was crazy easy, and we are back in business minutes after receiving the new amp. Another customer for life right here!!

I have a pair of RSL speakers from the late 1980's that still have that still produce that concert sound.
