Marin County Open Space District

All over Marin County voters have elected to buy and preserve open space forever so that the county keeps its quintessential, beautiful and special characteristics of natural environment where wild animals and plants abound. Marin County Open Space preserves little parts of the Earth where animals can live unmolested by humans and our domestic companions (on leashes, under voice control or ideally left at home) instead of part of a commercially paved or residential development. The delight of walking out one's front door or traveling just a few minutes to take a walk in the hills, or through a quiet forest, or along a shore and feel the solitude and tranquility is a wonderful place to just be.
