Awesome! The staff and Dr McNabb are really thoughtful and dedicated to my little Lucy's care! I feel so confident as a pet parent knowing that hospitals like this exist and doctors are ready to help. We don't have children but we have our two dogs and they're just like our babies. Thank you again for everything that you all do even for other pets! I would highly recommend! Thank god for Dr McNabb, she is a wonderful specialist and a great doctor. Lucy is thriving and living ger best life. Her vision is still there in her opalescent eye, it's a little cloudy, but that's nothing compared to what she was going through with the lens that was detached... Luckily Dr McNabb was able to stabilize her condition through medication and careful oversight versus surgery. We and Lucy feel very blessed to have this angel on our side.

Both of my experiences here have been amazing. The staff was very considerate about minimizing cost as much as possible while making sure my Wolfie got the care she needed. They let me know what procedures I can wait on until I can schedule with my regular vet (since it's typically cheaper to get services at a standard vet office rather than an emergency setting)l, and what would be recommended so I know she is safe and stable over the weekend. My dog is basically like my daughter, and I couldn't imagine a better place to have in the neighborhood in case of emergencies. Thank you very much.

I had a dire emergency Sunday 9.27 at 9pm. I needed to take my 12 year old Aussie to the vet because he was dying before my very eyes. I called and they were extremely compassionate with me and my sweet Buffett. He had a tumor that burst and blood was filling his stomach. There was only one solution, and that night I let him go. The staff was so loving and caring to me and my friend that came with me. While it was a horrible thing that happened, I am forever grateful to the care they gave us. I may also be changing vets because of this experience. I have had experience with VCA at another location and I didn't like them at all but given my experience, I am thinking of changing. Thank you...

Dana

Long overdue, but I can’t explain how grateful to have been able to come to VCA Woodland Hills for my dog’s passing. Unfortunately this past January my dog of the past 10 years had to be put down 😔. The staff and vet was so thoughtful and caring of me and my family. They helped us through the hard parts and made it easy on all of us (with the paperwork) while we were mourning our pup. Not only that, but they sent a very thoughtful and personalized card for my whole family and it meant so much to me. ❤

Thank you VCA for caring about my family and my pup.

My beloved 20 year old cat Rosie all of a sudden began meowing continuously, walking in a tight circle, appeared disoriented and appeared to not recognize me. I immediately took her here (my first visit as my regular vet office could not see her) and was so very appreciative of the treatment and concern shown to both myself and Rosie. Although my sweet Rosie had to be euthanized that same evening I was so impressed that Doctor Kenney was straightforward with me and did not try and coax me into expensive tests etc. On the contrary. She explained that the outcome would not change despite tests and in spite of the COVID restrictions I was allowed to spend as much time with Rosie in an exam room and was able to hold her during the process. Dr. Kenney then sat there with me until I was ready to leave . The entire staff were sympathetic and comforting. I cannot thank you all enough for helping me get through this most excruciating ordeal.

This hospital deserves a significantly higher rating than what it currently has. Like others, I was also nervous about the reviews but this was quickly resolved by the amazing professionalism and compassion from the staff. From start to finish, they took amazing care of my cat and ensured he had that best care. Moreover, the receptionists at the front were incredibly helpful especially when it came to payment options (which is never easy in emergency medicine). Thank you to Dr. Kong and her amazing team, as well as Lisa and Brianna and so many more who’s names I never got. Thank you!!

Like other reviewers, I was skeptical due to the reviews. But when I arrived I had a great experience at VCA right away. The staff were very professional and prompt to see my cat. The Vet techs kept me well updated on Whipple and very accommodating to chose the right care plan for my budget. He got treated for dehydration and within a couple hours my best friend was himself again!

I agree the clinic is expensive. But when you go to an emergency vet, it's typically expected you pay twice as more. So for those with non-urgent cases I'd recommend seeing your primary vet for a lower cost. Overall, I would 100% recommend this place if you're in an emergency situation!

I am so thankful for how caring the staff and the doctor was for my dog Olivia. They worked with me and my sisters budget. Unfortunately our dog got bit last night by an unknown animal and VCA did everything they could to help her to control her pain.
Thank you for loving you job and being so kind to us and loving giving the best care to Olivia.

I was nervous about the bad reviews, but we have had a great experience here so far. Our mini schnauzer got attacked by coyotes last week and my husband rushed him here around 11:30pm. He was pretty upset, but the staff was so friendly and calm. They took great care of our dog. The facility is nice and clean. Lots of space to sit. We had to pay a fee upfront to have him checked out, but after the established he didn't have any broken bones or internal injuries we got a refund for the procedures they didn't have to perform the next day. When I took him back a few days later to get his wounds checked it was fairly fast with no appointment. They seem well staffed as everyone who was there looked to be taken care of quickly. I go back later this week to get his sutures removed and I'm positive the experience will be just as pleasant. I would definitely recommend.

I found this clinic after taking my dog to another urgent care, getting minimal help and sent home with medication that would have killed my baby if we didn’t come here. The staff were all so patient and understanding while I was hysterical. They took my baby back right away and started getting her taken care of. They were compassionate and loving towards my dog and called me often with updates on her health. They provided me with a long term treatment plan, detailed instructions for her care and a thorough diagnosis. I am so grateful for everyone on this team!

Staff was knowledgeable, loving, patient and accessible. Everything the emergency veterinarians and cardiologist explained was spot on. There is an amazing team of professionals at this location. People who complain about the prices can't afford the pets. Please don't adopt animals you can't afford.

They were the only place that would see my cat in an emergency. The prices weren't too bad given that it was a holiday weekend and it was an emergency. I expected higher so it was pleasantly relieved. They guided me right with my baby, gave me great advice, and didn't over-treat or over-charge for unnecessary tests or treatment. Staff was so friendly, courteous, and helpful. Very thankful for this place even if it was far, I'd come back knowing I can trust them.

This was our first time at this VCA and we received beyond excellent service. Rei, who works at the front desk, was very kind and helpful from initial intake to discharge. He was informative and patient with any questions we had. James, the vet assistant, provided us with knowledge and guidance. He was also patient and made sure we felt good about our decision. Finally, Dr Chen had wonderful bedside manner and professional advice. He was able to speak to us in a way that was comprehensible and human. Highly recommend this facility and thank you for helping our pup Khaleesi!

Great veterinary hospital and open 24/7. They provide a safe and caring environment for the animals and have access to most equipment, including oxygen kennels, on the premises. Photo- The VCA pink elephant helps Buu after chemo.

Dr Wesley is the BEST!! I've been to Acess emergency and there is no comparison. The staff is on top of everything and know EXACTLY what to do in a life or death situation. They saved my dog from anaphylaxis with internal bleeding. If it wasn't for the expediency of everything and everyone...he wouldn't be alive today!

Thank you for stabilizing Diana and helping us find a surgeon who could see her in the middle of the night. Your staff was compassionate and efficient during our pup's medical emergency. We would trust you with our fur babies again, and we are so grateful for your services.

If we lived closer I would absolutely have VCA of the valley be our primary hospital. The front desk staff is amazing. Professional, kind, calm, and really trying to keep you at ease while you wait for your fur babe. We see Dr Gerlach for our dogs epilepsy. Again if we lived closer we would go here anytime we needed to which is hopefully not often.

My dog was so sick that he could barely walk. Technicians came out with stretcher. Winston is a 85 pound golden retriever. He was so happy to get help he ended up walking in on his own. The veterinarian taking care of him was Dr. Mellissa Cespedes. She was wonderful. Spoke with her 3 times to figure out what was wrong and a treatment plan. She was patient, attentive and caring. It is expensive but I was given options to not do some of the tests she recommended if I felt they weren’t necessary at this time. By the time we picked him up he was in much better spirits. He even regained his appetite after not eating for two days. I was very glad I took him there. I was nervous as the reviews weren’t very high. But I give this place high marks for quality care.

This place is expensive, I will say that. But it is also an emergency hospital, open 24 hours, and one of the few still accepting emergency visits due to other facilities being at capacity. They appropriately triaged the animals, had kind staff, and the veterinarian that was treating my cat had very good contact with me. At any time you are free to refuse a service or procedure and they will provide care/treatment based on the assessment to stabilize the animal. Please remember that due to the pandemic lots of veterinary clinics and hospitals have been overwhelmed. They are upfront with their prices and give you quotes prior to any work done. They will also readjust quotes for you based on tests you decide you do or don’t want.

When every other hospital and emergency vet didn't take me seriously, the entire team here acted quickly to take care of my sick dog. Everyone from receptionist to the doctor was kind and compassionate. Like any vet, they are also operating at or near capacity so please be patient with them.
