Locally owned, made in house, there's nothing better! A great variety of flavours offered, as well as options in general (cones, shakes, sundaes, etc.). They also have fantastic unique flavours, one being mushroom, made from candy cap mushrooms. Tastes like maple walnut, and is definitely worth a try! Stop in when you're in the area, it's worth it.

Stopped here for some ice cream. It’s pretty good and it’s so creamy! I combined strawberry with peppermint and it’s so delicious. They even had a mushroom ice cream that really brought out a good flavor. If you are visiting fort Bragg swing on by it’s so good.

This place has delicious homemade icecream. I tried the candy cap mushroom icecream and loved it. Ordered a single scoop and the portion size was huge. The folks here are friendly and service was excellent.

I took the kids to Ft. Bragg for Fall Break and we found Cowlick’s on a Google search. We went both nights we were there! I loved the unique flavors and the fresh cones. The atmosphere is adorable.

This awesome ice cream shop has been around since 2001? This place is fabulous! It is neat and clean inside and the folks are so helpful and polite. We both chose the 3 scoop (your choice) hot fudge Sunday with hot fudge, whipped cream, nuts and a cherry. My brother went the traditional route with 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream. I went off the rails with mint chip, cookies and cream and one more I can’t remember. It was delicious! Coming back when in the area!

I read the rave reviews about the delicious Mushroom Ice cream and had to stop. Didn't wait long. Purchased a pint. Seemed the most bang for my buck. And I assumed I was going to like it. Yep, sure did. It is yummy. The candy cap mushrooms used give it a maple flavor that is pleasant to the taste buds. I was sad when it was gone. If I lived nearby I'd be in trouble.

3 of words … Chai Ice-cream. Hands downs the best flavor I’ve had in a long long time. We also tried pecan and wild Cherry with dark chocolate chunks but my boys ended up eating my Chai lol.

How can you not give ice cream parlors 5 stars? The ice cream flavors were, for the most part, with a few seasonal ones still there. Such as pumpkin and chi to make a pumpkin chi combo.

They offer several cup sizes for ice cream that cover all sweet tooths. This is great for the kids as they can get 2 flavors in a small cup.

Only advise on flavors is have good old chocolate chip on the list. Missing the classic flavor on our visit.

They have a friendly, knowledgeable staff and extremely delicious made-from-scratch ice cream! Every flavor is amazing but I was particularly impressed with their candy cap mushroom ice cream! Simply remarkable! This place has the best ice cream in the whole Mendo coast area. Hands down!

The service was great. Ice cream tasted really good. They really do pile on the toppings. And ice cream scoops were to my liking.

Cowlick's homemade ice cream really is the best I have ever tasted - better than the best Devonshire or Cornish ice-cream in the UK, which is saying something!! Coconut ice-cream made with fresh coconut, praline n cream to die for....prices are good considering the quality and the quantity! Don't miss the opportunity and forget your diet, its worth it ;)

We always come here a few times when in Fort Bragg. Delicious homemade ice cream! They even use the local cookie stores cookie dough in their cookie dough ice cream. The waffle cones are made fresh as well! They have some staple flavors and some that rotate, so there's always something new to try!

Was looking for some ice cream. We had been here before. It is is very good. Had the Black Forest and Coconut. Delicious!

The ice cream here is awesome! All of it is fresh and they make their own waffle cones. I had the mint chip and cookies and cream, my wife had the mocha almond fudge.

Stopped in for the famed ice cream after a visit to Glass Beach (right down the road!). The mocha almond fudge was amazing - not too sweet, coffee flavor was perfect, almonds added the best crunch. Server was so nice and helpful, too (and let us try a few flavors, which is always a plus!). 😌

Fabulous. Generous servings and the taste, out of this worldly great. I know it's cliché to say this was the best ice cream I have ever had, but I cannot remember any better and I have eaten a lot of ice cream over several decades. Staff was super friendly and courteous. Other businesses recommended Cowlick's, confirming their popularity. 5 Stars is not enough! Must visit for the area.

The creamiest delicious ice cream ever. We ordered Hokey Pokey (it’s honey flavor), raspberry and chocolate the first day. Hokey Pokey has to be my fav it’s soo rich and creamy and had crispy chunks of honey in there. We went back the second day as well since we loved the ice cream soo much. We took yellow cake batter and rocky road. Each flavor was so unique and so delicious. I would recommend getting it in a waffle cone because the waffle cone was soo fresh, crispy and yummy.

Very cute ice cream parlor. They had a lot of flavors I never heard of before. One of my favorites is the Mushroom ice cream. It's made from dried candy cap mushroom and it tastes like maple syrup! You won't find this flavor easily outside of Fort Bragg/Mendocino, so you must try this flavor. There's lot of seating and options for your family/friends.

Outstanding ice cream and the best vibe. My wife and I were helped by a girl named Raven, and she provided the best service. She gave us samples and bounced around with unmatched enthusiasm. She give that girl a raise. Also, the ice cream is amazing.

Glad we stopped, tried the mushroom (first time to try this, maple 🍁 syrup flavor took over) and also the raspberry chocolate chunk ice cream. Creamy, tasty and good prices. Parking was a bit tight. Would definitely recommend a stop 🛑. Parking lot was mostly full.
