The Beachcomber Motel

Wonderfully surprised at how perfect this place is! All rooms have a fantastic large window/glass door view of the ocean. Great walking path runs behind the building with several paths to the beach. We'll maintained, fenced yard for dogs so my pups could play off leash. Short drive to the super cute downtown. Desk staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Fire pits for chilly nights!
Would've liked to have stayed longer!

We've stayed here twice a year, every year for the last 5 years! I can't say enough great things about our stays every time! The view from the upstairs rooms make it so hard to "leave" the room! We've taken advantage of the bike rental and gone all the way out to Macaricher and it's just breathtaking. We've taken advantage of the captains deck for having a BBQ dinner & watching the sunset as well as the fire pits which are great for making smores, which you can purchase a kit for $10 from the front desk. The fire pit area has several pits available and offers a great way to sit & chat with other guests. Allthough we've never used one, they do have dog friendly rooms that include a "doggy door" for night or any time by your pet that actually exits to a personal, fenced area. The walking path is miles long and takes you over the old logging bridge where folks hang love/memory locks and offers spectacular views. Walking the cliffs are a must. They are safe but not wheelchair accessible. There are plenty of other ways/locations to watch the beauty of the ocean and its incredible sunsets if you are wheelchair bound. Please take the time to stop here and enjoy the view.

My husband and I went up to Fort Bragg for one night to ride the Skunk Train. While looking for a room we wanted specific things like close to the ocean, clean and a jacuzzi and we found all here so we booked it.

We booked months in advance and we were pleasantly surprised to find out on arrival that they had just remodeled.

The room was super clean, the bed was very comfortable for us. Jacuzzi not updated but works just fine. Fills slow so have patience. I love that they took out the carpet and replaced with tile. There is no AC or heater in the room but this time of year it was not needed but during summer I'm sure we would have needed AC and during colder months heat is needed so not sure why they are provided at all.

The check in was great. The person who helped us was very friendly and explained all aspects of property and rules due to fire pits and whatnot. I never have dealt with a nicer front desk person.

We have an EV car and there are 2 chargers but unfortunately we couldn't use either because there was a Tesla parked in one that was not charging all night and a motor cycle parked in the other. There are super charges close by but would have been nice to get a free charge. I'm sure I could have went to the front desk and they would have found the owners but it's not worth the hassle.

The beach is a close walk. They have a cute little dog area. The outside of property is well maintained and beautiful as well.

Perfect get away to Ft. Bragg. Great places to eat within a mile or two. Nice rooms. We stayed in one of the whirpool rooms, which have the tub right in the bedroom in a tiled nook. A fireplace with a timer at the foot of the bed. Balcony overlooking the beach. The only thing about the room, or the two rooms with jacuzzi is they are directly over the lobby and you access them by a narrow stairway there. Little weird but the room was awesome. Beach access right outside the room.

This is a great dog friendly motel, with a nice little doggie park. The room was really nice, the staff was nice and the location was great for walking along the ocean. Only downside is that you can hear the traffic on highway one and you can hear everything around you. Not much privacy either but everyone I met was really nice and my dog loved it! The fire pit deck is really nice too! I would go back.

Great spot to stay. Very relaxing and beautiful. Beach is right there to visit. And dogs can stay here too.

I highly recommend this place. If possible, stay on the second floor. Incredible views from all rooms, but the second floor views are breathtaking.

Really enjoyed our stay here, this motel is right on the beach with breathtaking views! The room was very clean, quiet and peaceful! What a wonderful place to stay with an amazing sunset, and relaxing sound of waves crashing along the shore! This motel also has an area with fire pits where you can roast marshmallows and make s’mores in the evening time! They rent bicycles and we got to ride along the beach, which was really fun! We will definitely come back to stay here agin! Thank you!!

Perfect little spot. Great distance.for walking to downtown (1-1.5 miles for the stuff we wanted to do). Room was immaculate, check in was smooth, and the staff was wonderful. Great morning coffee/tea set up too.

Beautiful view. Clean and comfortable room. I recommend you stay on the second floor absolutely beautiful.

Just a little north of Fort Bragg right on the coast great beach walk. Really nice rooms updated and modern, yes the room is small but you can make it work. Coffee available in the lobby we will return.

We love The Beachcomber. It's on the pricier side but well worth it for the view and location. It's right next to Pudding Creek and the beach there which is accessible from this hotel. Every room has a view!

We stayed in one of their Hot tub rooms and it was amazing! All the furniture looks very modern and everything in the room was super clean. It was very spacious which is awesome when traveling with pets or kids. You also have access to their Patio area where we spent most of our time hanging out by the fire pits. After a long day of walking around Fort Bragg coming back and relaxing in their hot tub was a perfect way to end the day! I can't wait till I come back!

We have been visiting Fort Bragg for many years, and we've stayed in several different motels and B&B's over the years. This was the first time that we've stayed at the Beachcomber, and it definitely won't be the last. I believe that we have finally found our go to place in Fort Bragg. Our room was very nice, clean, and the view of the ocean was simply amazing. This was one of the best trips we've had. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We can't wait to return, next visit I think we'll have to try a room with the hot tub for sure.

We loved staying here. It was clean, beautiful room with stunning ocean views and direct beach access. I can't wait to go again. The hot tub in the room was fantastic.
We came again in November and got the same room I had the last time with a jacuzzi in the room and I got the room next door for my son and his wife. It was fantastic! We will be back again this summer.

Our visit was so relaxing. Atmosphere is so nice. Rooms so clean and comfy. Easy access to beach and beautiful sunsets right from our room. Thank you Beachcomber for a wonderful vacation!

Beautiful little motel just across a walking trail from the ocean. Not too expensive and definitely worth it to get a room with an ocean view balcony.
Rooms were clean and not too outdated or "motel-ish." We just sat with the patio door open, listening to the ocean and feeling the breeze for HOURS. There aren't a whole lot of places I'd rather sit and drink my morning coffee.
