Los Gallitos

Wow, and I mean WOW. When did Fort Bragg become heaven? I woke up to a "Yelp Elite" friend calling me asking me "if I would like to head down to Los Gallitos Mexican Restaurant for a quick lunch, and a drink or 2 to wash it down. I couldn't find any reason why not to head down to this "local" favorite.
First off, the establishment is beyond clean, and the people working were more than friendly.
Second: The food here was excellent, I went with the boneless wings (come in 5 different flavors), and queso-tacos. The queso-tacos were some, if not the best I have had in my life. I recommend that plate to anyone that is wanting to try something delicious. My friend who is a quote "food expert", but in my mind might be a better judge of drinks, and a good time 😂 really enjoyed himself and his "boneless" wings they put on the menu for him.
My final word on this place is give it a try, and see what locals and tourists from near and far away rave about. Tell them " The Pudding Creek Trestle" sent you. Enjoy your Wednesday, and remember to Visit Noyo Harbor when done with this great restaurant.

Really beautiful atmosphere with great food. The marinated pork taco is amazing. Finished all the food before taking photos of the dishes 😄

We did take out, Took it back to our room the food was great. And so were the margaritas to go.

Best Mexican food we ever had. Recommend beef tongue taco and shrimp quesadilla.

Cleanness seems to be an issue. One of our pants got stuck by a gum put under the table by previous customers.

Absolutely top tier. Simply next level Mexican food! The owner, Margarita, personally vets all seafood deliveries. Only permitting the highest quality. Unfortunately, I was not able to try the award-winning crab cakes because they had already sold out. Thus is the consequence of excellence. Still, my shrimp and chili relleno were exquisite as were every other element of my meal. If I were to ask for something more, it would be to keep my beverages and chips full. They were hoppin busy though because they're do good so I can understand that the service staff was stretched thin.

Great Place Food was amazing. Service was exceptional. Feels like everyone in town was here tonight.

We ordered the wet carnitas burrito and a torta de carne asada. The torta was really good, not too much bread and an appropriate amount of meat. It was in need of a spicy salsa, but the salsa that came with tortilla chips did the trick. The wet burrito was good, but if you’re trying for the first time, maybe ask for the sauce on the side so you can taste it first and add at your own discretion.

We also enjoyed some drinks and will return to try the flautas, sopes, and tacos.

Great every time we go there. Food is always good. And you can see it's a favorite place to visit. I definitely recommend going there.

THE. BEST. MEXICAN. RESTAURANT. EVER.
From the first bite of salsa, to the water, to the last lick of my plate, I have never eaten a meal where I had zero complaints!

The evening before I had eaten in a nice looking restaurant in Old Town Sacramento with much higher prices, and the salsa was bland but too spicy, the chips tasted like old oil, actually most of the food tasted like old oil, and the water was the worst sort of city tap water, and barely drinkable.

So here I first took a chip, dipped a corner in the salsa to see if I was going to make me regret life, and it was pretty mild, and the chip tasted good.
So I took a full dip, and the look on my face was shock when I bit down, because it was perfect! Fresh and flavorful, great texture, and no need for super heat to cover up the lack of flavor! I have never had such perfect salsa! (I don't like high spice, so you may not like it, but I did!)

Then the side of guacamole came out, and it was the best guacamole I have ever tasted, and my face registered my awe at the first bite!
Perfect flavor and seasoning, fresh avacado, chunks of diced tomato.
I wanted to just get more chips and fill up on guac and salsa!
The chips are some thick and crispy chip, not sure what it is, wouldn't be surprised if they make them, but they were excellent!

Then the water came out, and after a suspicious sip, I was smiling again! It was just perfect water, no unpleasant tastes, just something that you enjoy drinking. From some sort of low mineral content well, or something like that.

Great authentic atmosphere, fast kitchen, very friendly staff, music was at a good volume, and there were a lot of people in there for a Tuesday evening, all having a good time.

Oh, and the food was great too! Lol

The food was presented very nicely. It did not take long to come out, in the middle of lunch rush. there's usually only one bartender so if you slam him with 20 Margaritas it might take a moment for that to come out. Otherwise the place is clean and the staff is friendly. Enjoy the chips and salsa!

Oh. My. Goodness. This place is amazing! My hubby and I stopped in on our way from the glass beach to Sacramento and enjoyed the best Mexican food ever! Service was awesome and the food was DELICIOUS! If you don't get anything else, you have to try their tacos.

My family and I ate here, (we’ve been coming to Fort Bragg every year since I was a child and I’m almost 30 now)and we did everything but lick the plates clean. Heather served us and she was super sweet, and took care of everything we needed. She needs to get a raise for sure! I’m just super stoked we found this spot. My mother is Mexican-American, and I’m part Mexican-American, but while I live in San Francisco where there’s Hispanic food in abundance, This restaurant stands out even above a majority of them. I had the Bistek Asado plate and I felt like I was eating at someone’s home. Thank you very much staff! 5 stars.

We had a lovely early dinner here this week. I had shrimp tacos - flour tortillas, Vern had a good chili Rellano. Terrific Horchata!

Nice authentic Mexican food. Not as authentic as Tijuana but good as the other Mexican American places.

Ordered the menudo and a wet steak burrito. They turned out well. The menudo also comes with a piece of the hoof having cartilage for eating.

Truly authentic and amazing Mexican food! Ceviche tostadas and carnitas taco were delicious, also had several juices that were refreshing! Great options and delicious food! Had to come twice in my quick visit.

Los Gallitos is a great family restaurant with an energetic atmosphere. They are often packed with locals, some on dates and some with their whole families. The restaurant has a full bar and is known for their delicious margaritas. The food is flavorful and the portions are generous. My favorite dish is the chili verde/enchilada special! The chips are great. The service is quick. We've been coming for years and I really don't have anything bad I could say.

Some of the best food we had on the West Coast.

We came here for lunch. I had the tacos that were on special. They were served with cabbage plus a white sauce that was quite rich. Beans and rice were good about normal fare. Wine list features many local wineries at a very reasonable price. Service was friendly and casual. Decor was traditional Mexican and festive.

Service is great... But the food is fantastic! If it's still on the menu try the Quesatacos!!!!
