We had a wonderful experience at Buoncristiani—Matt was an EXCELLENT host and treated us like family. We loved the intimate, personalized feel of our tasting. And of course, we couldn't get enough of the amazing wine they so carefully produce. Would 10/10 recommend a visit to Buoncristiani Family Winery—we can't wait to go back!

Our visit to Buoncristiani Family Winery was exceptional. Co-owner Matt Buoncristiani warmly welcomed us and guided us through a tasting of their delicious wines. Nestled in caves that unveil breathtaking vistas of the Napa Valley, the setting was truly special. An absolute must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable wine tasting experience. We enjoyed the wines so much that we joined their La Famiglia wine club.

Epic time with Matt Buoncristiani at Buoncristiani Family Winery tasting experience at the Caves. Matt is always an excellent host, and truly welcomes you as part of his family. Matt greeted us with a glass of sauvignon blanc and spent time with us in the caves, talking about the wine making process before we ventured out onto to patio (to enjoy the chardonnay) and take in breathtaking views of Napa Valley. Energized by the experience, we landed back in the cave’s main tasting room to taste the reds- all well crafted wines that exemplify the wine making passion that the brothers possess. Charcuterie was paired with olive oil produced from trees from the brothers estate, perfectly complimenting each of the wines we tasted. We finished with an intensely flavored port to make the experience complete. Cannot say enough about the wines and the hospitality at Buoncristiani. First rate all around!

What a lovely tasting experience we had at The Caves with Matt Buoncristiani pouring Buoncristiani wines. The whites were elegant and went well with the cheeses being served. The reds were bold, opulent and full of fruit forward flavors that were complimented with the salami and nuts. Matt was an excellent and knowledgeable host and ended our tasting experience with the Buoncristiani Port. Delicious! The temperature in the cave was cool but lap blankets were provided to make it comfortable. The stone wall in the tasting lounge area provided an elegant ambiance. One of the best tasting experiences I have had. Nicely done!

It was my littlest niece's 21st birthday and I knew exactly where I wanted to take her for her first official wine tasting. Over the years, I have had many Buoncristiani Family Winery tasting experiences at the Caves with various friends and family. We have NEVER been disappointed! Seasoned and newbie wine drinkers alike have always been impressed! Matt, one of the co-owners of the winery, is an EXCELLENT host. The personal touches added to each and every tasting never cease to amaze me. He truly tailors each and every wine tasting experience to the group he is hosting.

This weekend Matt greeted us at the entrance to the Caves with a refreshing glass of Sauvignon Blanc. He told us the history of the winery and walked us through the cave teaching my nieces all about the winemaking process from start to finish. We shared a few more tastings of wine and cheese at a large table nestled between the oak barrels of aging wine. Then we walked out to the beautiful patio overlooking the entire Napa Valley for an additional tasting. The views from the patio are like none other in the entire valley! On a beautiful day, like this weekend, you can see all the way to SF. As a science major my niece had a multitude of questions about the winemaking process. The care and genuine interest Matt took to answer each and every one of her questions was impressive.

It’s unfortunate that 5 stars is as high a ranking as we can give. The wine is magnificent! The hospitality is bar none! This is a 10/10 experience. If you have never visited, you must. Don’t miss this gem of a wine tasting experience. We can’t wait to go back!

This was our 2nd time at the Caves at Soda Canyon doing a Buoncristiani tasting with Matt. This trip was for my 40th birthday and did not disappoint! Matt was great and very accommodating! The wine is wonderful by itself but the atmosphere of the Caves takes it to another level. If planning a trip to Napa do not miss this experience of the Caves at Soda Canyon Buoncristiani tasting with Matt!

The wines they are making are phenomenal and the price point makes this unheard of value in the Napa area. The views were fantastic, the wines were amazing, and Matt treated us like VIPs for the entire visit.

This was truly a next level experience. If you are in the Napa area, I would HIGHLY recommend a tasting with Buoncristiani at the Caves at Soda Canyon.

It was absolutely amazing from start to finish!

So, it was our anniversary and my husband and I were on the hunt for a wine tasting experience . And guess what? We stumbled upon Buoncristiani Family Winery at The Caves at Soda Canyon and let me tell you, it was pure magic. I can't even express how grateful I am that Matt, found a last-minute opening for us! They do require you to make reservations a week in advance so be sure to do that if you plan on visiting.

First of all, the indoor tasting room was an absolute dream. It was so beautiful and inviting. And then, we stepped outside and were greeted by the most breathtaking views (even with the morning haze)! I mean, seriously, it was like stepping into a Napa Valley postcard.

The whole experience was simply unforgettable. The wines were outstanding, the atmosphere was enchanting, and Matt was so friendly and knowledgeable. We were truly in wine heaven!

If you're ever in need of a wine-tasting adventure that will sweep you off your feet, I highly recommend checking out Buoncristiani Winery. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Incredible time visiting the Caves at Soda Canyon and tasting Buoncristiani Wine. Matt was such a gracious host and the story of their history was terrific. The wine tasting was fantastic and perfectly paired with an assortment of delicious cheese, crackers and olives. The views from the terrace topped everything off for an amazing afternoon.

This was our favorite tour/tasting in Napa Valley!! Having a private tour with Matt (one of the owner’s) was a phenomenal experience. We came into the tasting knowing we loved OPC but had no idea the story behind the wine & the family. Small, intimate & amazing wines!!! The views were also spectacular which only make the afternoon better. This will be on our list every trip to Napa!!!

My wife and I visited "Buoncristiani Family Winery at the Caves' over the weekend along with two other friends of ours and had a wonderful experience.
We were met by Connie, who is an integral part of this family winery.
Before sitting at a table inside the caves, she answered many questions about how the winery started and what sets them apart from other vineyards
The caves are "cooperatively" owned by six wineries. The four Buoncristiani brothers being the first to bring their winery to join the caves over 25 years ago.
It's interesting that they pick their grapes from a variety of vineyards, choosing the best combinations to fit their many different types of red and white wines
Once that process is done, the grapes are brought to the caves to go thru the entire process that gets the bottles to the table.
While seated we tasted six different wines from their many barrels in a chilly and very quaint atmosphere.
The wines were all spectacular. Needless to say we had several cases shipped to our homes back in NJ
Connie went above and beyond explaining the different flavors and aroma's of each wine.
Her knowledge and enthusiasm was contagious.
Halfway thru our tastings, she took us outside the back of the caves to see the view of Napa Valley. It was incredible. Pictures didn't do it justice.
I highly recommend visiting them for both great wines and a very informative look at what the entire process looks like.
Thanks again for having us

The Buoncristiani Family Winery tasting experience at The Caves at Soda Canyon is always a great excursion! We joined Buoncristiani wine club a few years ago after our first visit and we come back from east coast at least once per year and enjoy putting this experience at top of our list! This time we were hosted by Matt B. and he provided good insights into each wine we tried. He also added interesting perspectives into Buoncristiani Family Winery's start-up and continued evolution. Most importantly, the wines speak for themselves. They produce a diverse array of beautiful white and red blends and also single varietals. Thankfully, the price ranges are very reasonable, even more so relative to the spiraling costs of other Napa wines ...where I'd confidently stack Buoncristiani varietals against.

Buoncristiani Family Winery tasting experience at the Caves

This was by far the best tasting and overall experience on our trip. Connie was a wonderful host, not only did we leave completely satisfied, but we joined as members because we wanted to be a part of something truly special. This is a must for anyone visiting the valley.

We just got back from Napa, and as alway, Buoncristiani was one of our highlights. In addition to their great wines, the setting in in the caves and deck overlooking The Stags Leap District was great. As usual their overall hospitality was excellent as we made our way through the wines.

Their Cabernets are great and they have a broad selection of other varietals and blends that are excellent including the Malbec, Petite Syrah, Dolcetto and OPC blend.

Under the radar but always worth a visit.

We are new to the world of wine and were looking for an authentic but approachable tasting experience during our trip to Napa. We got a great recommendation for Buoncristiani Family Winery tasting experience at the Caves. Matt Buoncristiani welcomed us to the winery and met us at our experience level- not talking above our level of wine knowledge or talking down to us. He explained the wine making process and exuded the passion that he and his brothers have for their craft. The views from the patio were incredible- only eclipsed by the taste of the wines! We joined the wine club to keep the experience alive throughout the year. Don’t miss this one of a kind experience with one of a kind wines!

We had an amazing experience at the Buoncristiani winery in the Caves at Soda Canyon. The personalized experience made us feel like we were one of the family. The wine was phenomenal and we can’t wait to try it at home. It was a great way to cap off our first time in Napa.

My wife and I had the best time at the Buoncristiani Family Winery tasting experience at the Caves. Matt was an incredible host and hearing directly from one of the owners/family of the winery was the best way to enjoy their wines. To add to the delicious wines were the best views in Napa Valley from the caves. We got lucky with an incredibly clear day (could see San Fran) but even in bad weather the view would be outstanding. Can't wait to go back again!

My wife and I had an exceptional experience with Matt during our recent trip to Napa. The private tasting experience is incredibly well thought out, and the venue is spectacular. Matt took us through a guided tasting and food pairing, highlighting family stories of where his journey began, but also diving into the nuances of their modern wine making process. If you’re searching for a boutique winery with a family feel that has really solid wines, make sure to put Buoncristiani on your itinerary. The views won’t disappoint either - thanks Matt!
